I'd say OP was on their way to this place: https://maps.app.goo.gl/5VCHYz8Scp16xCUg7

It's somewhere from the gellért hill. I think I was on my way to some park.

People see what they go looking for.
TheWalrusMann@reddit
the famously liberal bastion of the country? lmao
DasyTaylor@reddit
Your pictures are awesome! They look very neat and high-quality with excellent compositions and all. Is photography a hobby or job for you?
concotionist@reddit (OP)
Thanks a lot. I'm just a hobbiest photographer. I took most of these pictures on a old dslr I bought broken and fixed myself or on my smartphone.
DasyTaylor@reddit
Wow, it's cool that you even fixed an old device to use! Keep up the good work!
concotionist@reddit (OP)
Thank you for the kind words.

I'm going next month. Any recommendations?
AmberJill28@reddit
The Parlament and the historic parts of Buda!
dzson117@reddit
Bring sunscreen, always carry water. Best not to come in the summer tbfh. Basically plan as if would ggo to Rome lol.
Hot_Significance1908@reddit
Not worrying too much about the sun, I’m coming from a warm country :) thanks!
concotionist@reddit (OP)
Don't plan it, Just let it suprise you. Get a day travel pass. Take the trams especially the ones on the river banks. Like something, get down and walk. The metro line 1 is one of the cutest thing. Ohh and if you're young (or not) experience the nightlife. Then the parks and the thermal baths.
Hot_Significance1908@reddit
The thing is that I've already been to Budapest, it will be my second time there. Looking to see some non-tourist things
I'm 27 next month :)

I’m from the UK and currently in Budapest and it is 31 degrees and intensely hot.
Sunscreen, water, makes sure where you stay has air con, night time river cruise, Széchenyi baths, free walking tour, Central Grand Market, Szimpla Kert ruin bar, Gettó Gulyás, buy a travel card as it’s cheap and easy.
I’m staying in an Airbnb so I am making breakfast and lunch and then going out for dinner, if you need to buy food on the go it will become expensive.
concotionist@reddit (OP)
Solid advice really.

Thank you, beautiful city. It's got character.
pinkpiglet1204@reddit
I’m not :) horribly hot there at the moment. I’m happy in London. I’m Hungarian by the way :D
concotionist@reddit (OP)
It's much more hotter where I'm from. 38c is a good day here.
unaphotographer@reddit
It is extremely hot, I'm not enjoying any of it.
untruth-social-6666@reddit
Today is my last day of a mini Central Europe tour. I started in Prague, then Bratislava, Vienna and now Budapest, I’ve had 3 days in each city and they are all amazing in certain ways, but Budapest is the place that feels the most welcoming, safe and a place I could live.
Tomorrow I return to the UK but I will be back before the years is out as I have so much more to explore.
concotionist@reddit (OP)
Ohh that's so cool. My thoughts about Budapest exactly, it really felt like I was home. My trip was kinda the same too, but just switch bratislava for Zagreb and the dalmatian coast. The best month of my life. Travel is the best. You go.
jossysa@reddit
A város többi része ezzel szemben rohad.
concotionist@reddit (OP)
Yeahh, Budapest is rough around the edges but it has its charm. I come from a even worse place.

We miss you too!
