Anyone ever joined a night group ride?

Went out for a cruise and ran into a whole group of riders decked out with LED lights — full-on glowing bikes everywhere. Looked insanely cool. 🔥 Even spotted someone riding the same e-bike model as mine! We exchanged The Nod™, of course. Felt like I’d stumbled into a secret club. 😎
Anyone here ever joined one of those night group rides? Kinda tempted to bring some lights and jump in next time.

Hamilton Ontario has one of these, held once a month on the last Saturday evening. Approximately 2 hours of a circuit through the city. Known as Glowriders locally, it's great fun with upwards of 2-250 people coming together to shine..
Great fun. I'm a parade Marshall for our event, which is free to all, to join in on the fun.

Toronto has the Neon Riders, as well! They ride a bit more frequently.

There appears to have once been a K-W glow riders event - but last online mention of it appears to be 2023, unfortunately.
Hope to see you out there some time this season!

I ran into a fun looking group of mostly e-motos at the OC Great Park in Irvine CA on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago on my way home but I was so busy gawking at the bikes I didn't think to ask anyone where to go to find out about the next ride. Looked around on Google and Facebook for OC e-bike rideouts but no luck.

Google DC Bike Party. It’s a once-a-month massive group ride in Washington, DC (thousands of people). We absolutely take over the streets. E-bikes, regular bikes, e-scooters, electric unicycles, roller blades, etc. People dress in all kinds of ways and deck their bikes out with lights - Dude in the picture hooked up a disco ball, PA-sized speaker, and generator to the back of his. E-cargo bike.

Totally awesome!

We’ve got this in Sacramento too! Actually it’s tonight and you just reminded me I need to coordinate with my friends :)

I went overboard with mine. I went and bought Govee cob lights from Amazon. It was about $100 for 10 ft and I'm using my ego lawn mower battery and ego power converter in the rear basket to power it up. It gets plenty bright during the day and at night I can change the scene on the lights to make it do pretty much anything I want. Add that with the rear tail light and turn lights in the front headlight that is pretty bright and people can see me all around. My helmet also has a front light turn lights and backlight and brake light as well. I live in a college town and I don't want to be ran over by college kid who can't see me

Is there any groups that go meetup in Las Vegas Nevada?
funcentric@reddit
if they're a cool group you'd want to join, they'll likely let you ride with them with open arms. I know my group is always cool with new people who see us who want to ride with his impromptu.
I'm testing out these new lights from Pidzoom. Reach out to them, They're running a deal where you buy 2 sets and get refunded for one set. Each set is only $14. 4 lights with remote and they sync.
kcattattam@reddit
Yup. Usually ride my muscle bikes tho. The e-bike is for commuting, and fast

We have a bunch in Austin

Heck yeah, I used to ride the "Mountain Bike in the Moonlight" when I lived near Scottsdale, AZ. It was fun, occasionally you'd see a coyote or desert owl at night.

Denver Cruiser Ride has been meeting weekly every summer for a loooong time. It's a total blast. All sorts of fun vehicles, electric and acoustic, decked out in lights.
armandcamera@reddit
I have! Loads of fun! Do it!

Baltimore and DC have them, that I’m sure of. They post dates/routes/times on their instagram. Like Baltimore, DC everyone’pimps’ their ride with amazing light show/sound and often we sing along. It’s a blast. And idk bout DC , but Baltimore has a party at the end, usually a participating bar/venue that has plenty of bike parking!!
Klutzy_Comfortable_7@reddit
Downtown Raleigh I seen the same thing. Literally 200 riders. You could hear and see them blocks away.
godzillabobber@reddit
Tucson has a weekly Tuesday night ride that starts on Campus at 8:30 PM. Never the same route twice.
Honest_Nathan@reddit
Yep a do one or two a week during the summer. One can have over 600 riders at a time. Can be kinda crazy.

They’re fun as hell, I go to my local Critical Mass every month and the atmosphere’s incredible, most big cities have monthly Critical Mass rides (though they’re not exclusively for ebikes), but there’s other good group rides too
