Still need to refinish and I'm working on some tooling to make the heat shield made out of metal. Overall I'm happy with how its turning out!

Could check out “Send, Cut, Send”. Looks relatively simple to laser out the holes and then bend it.

I have some models made for stamping dies but yea doing the holes was my big problem since milling sheet metal is all but impossible. I was toying with the idea of getting some aluminum pipe as my base material since that would be easier to machine.

Ill definitely check that out though. Thanks for the tip!

You could also look into a waterjet table, not sure if it’s cheaper than having it done on a laser. Should be able to have it deburred/sanded, then bent or rolled into shape easily. I’d imagine stamping may be more expensive, but if you do it yourself and make your own jigs, probably the way to go for smaller runs.
