Got a P0223 code. How should i start diagnosing this problem?

I got a p0223 code after driving on the highway, basically took a shit after going 100 in 5th gear. Here’s what i feel:
• As i press on the gas, i see the rpm’s move but im not going anywhere. • Feels like there’s a ton of restistance when trying to go faster.
What should i do?

Since it’s a BMW I would start with an output test. See if the throttle body is even moving. If it tries to you know the wiring is good and communication with the ECM. I would start with the throttle body. If it doesn’t try to move you’ll have to get the wiring diagram and check the signal from the ECM during the output test. Do NOT front probe unless you have the proper pins. If you have signal, power, and ground, check the position sensor. It probably works on varying resistance, hook up to the right pins and move the throttle body by hand if it changes the sensor itself is good. Double check for a voltage drop and resistance to the ECM and in this case it’s probably ECM. I’m assuming you’ll find something else long before this though.

10 second Google search shows its a code for the throttle position sensor. Start there

no shit dumbass. if u read the post, im asking if anyone has had this problem and any suggestions on how to fix it.

You asked what you should do. Your car is telling you what you should do. I told you were to start. You're being drawn a line to the problem, and you're still getting lost. But I'm the dumbass, ha!

ah yes so if u open ur “google search” u will see that there are multiple solutions to said problem. since u think ur such a mechanic all the sudden from googling, why don’t u tell me what the direct problem is? or do u have to google that too?
J-Rag-@reddit
I already told you the direct peoblem. Maybe if you didn't pop out of the gate so quickly calling me a dumbass I'd be willing to input more. So, good luck! Think about changing your shitty attitude when talking to people, makes a huge difference. You'd think it would be common sense but....
