Back seat cover for a Skyhawk? (wanting to put a bicycle back there)

I think I can fit my road bike in the back but I need to protect the seat from the sprockets etc.
Have any of you used one of those car seat covers for dogs or something similar?

Just go to u-haul and buy a pack of those furniture blankets. They are useful for a million things.

Moving blanket bud.
But yeah, I'd take the seats out. I have all the various W&B configs on my EFB for whatever seats I remove, as outlined in the POH.

If you're really worried about protecting the interior, you could remove both bicycle wheels and then slip the frameset into one of those really heavy-duty plastic leaf bags.
ReadyplayerParzival1@reddit
It would be easier just to take the seat out
x4457@reddit
Probably not because that would require a new W&B.
ZOB_oo_land@reddit
Sure, but if you or your A&P have scales, couldn't you just have two W&B datasets, one for seats installed and the other for seats removed?
x4457@reddit
Yes, and you don't really need scales for that. An "as calculated" W&B is just fine too.
I have two W&Bs, one for normal config and one with doors off and seats removed. Point is that you still have to have it to do it, and whether you can pull the seats yourself is somewhat of a contentious topic depending upon how you interpret 43 Appendix A and the appropriate LOI.
But yes, that's certainly an option. Just slightly more effort than "just pull the seat" is all I'm saying. Easier to just find a cover to put on the seat.

I never got the chance in a 172.
But in the 150 I pull both my wheels, and put the bike in upside down, handlebars facing rear. Pop the wheels in a wheel bag and cover the bike with a towel to prevent anything from running. Tight, but it fits.
