You gotta piss with the dick god gave you. Now I’m not a fan of taxes either, But taxes pay for things you benefit from. Protection, roads, law enforcement, fire department, constitutional rights, etc aren’t free. I don’t agree with everything our taxes are spent on, but I’m grateful for what I get in return. Long ago people had to work all day just to hunt animals and or grow food for their families and their tribes. On top of that they had to defend what they had from other tribes and animals. You really only own what you can defend. Transportation and filtration of water isn’t free. Fuel for a fire isn’t free. Food has to be scavenged, grown, or hunted. That’s work and you pay someone else to do it when you buy food. I’d agree that what we have corrupt people in power who use it to their advantage, most of which you’ve never heard of. But looking at life like you have it the worst will get you no where.
only point i want to dispute: people during hunter-gatherer times usually worked closer 3-5 hours a day to sustain themselves and work (hunting) was more of an advanced game of skills.
itd be nice if we could go back to atleast 5h days, since so much stuff should be automated and working way easier but looking at the jobs ive worked and am working (spectrum from no education required to a lot of education requiered) - 80% of work is monkey work either trying to appease someone who likes nicely filled out forms in 5 different versions or stupid work that robots havent quite figured out yet (logistics for example)
I kind of doubt the truth of that bit about hunter gatherers working only 3-5 hours. Hunting usually involved a group heading out for days to weeks at a time trying to bring home enough game for the tribe. Maybe if you averaged their downtime in between hunts with their working time it might be close to that range but it still required serious time commitment
tax is fine, excessive tax is not fine, tax money being wasted and not optimally used is not fine, tax not being done equally is not fine, but u right that we get a lot of good stuff from it, and also anon is tweakin yes but hes right about work actually being a 7-7 and people paying tax for things that should be, i wouldn't say free but a lot cheaper
Are you talking about J6? Where they tried to overturn the closest thing America can get to a left-wing government in favour of a billionaire rapist who can't run a business?
How's Trump going for you in 2025 by the way? It must be good seeing your president spend more time arguing with his ex-boyfriend on Twitter than he does running the country.
There's no reason to support J6 unless you are a Trump supporter. If you're talking about something else, your reply would have been a good time to clarify rather than bitching about Democrats (of which I am not).
J6 was the first time in modern history that politicians have ever been scared of the people. They should be. They work for us and they should be willing to die if we give the word.
You pay for food that grows in nature for free
But it doesn't. Most of our food is grown by specialists, in specialized environments with enhanced crops that were hybridized and engineered to be much more efficient. It's not like we just pay some guy to find apples in the forest.
You pay for water that just exists for free
You pay for the convenience of having it flow directly into your home after being treated. If bottled, you pay for the bottle, the transportation, extraction and treatment.
anon doesn't seem to realize that even money didn't exist, unless his backyard is the fucking garden of eden he'd still have to pay for shit, just with diferent, and probably less versatile currency. Instead of buying a sack of potatoes for 10 bucks you now have to sell a goat to the welsh neighbour for cabbage seeds so you can trade them for 4 hammers and 200 nails to then trade that for etc etc etc
I agree, you have way way too many services provided by the state.
Taxes should be cut, and you should hire your own Fire Department, road construction, safe drinking water, education, property laws (have fun with every aspect of your life being an HOA), etc.
If I want to dump trash on your land and poison your well, there shouldn't be anything to stop me.^/s
The commute is something that pisses me off because you should at least be paid for the commute there. I’m glad mine is really short, I can’t believe so much people have a combined commute over an hour or even more! So much cumulative time wasted just getting to work being unpaid, what a waste.
That's funny but also not true. There's not just acres of unclaimed, unowned, unmonitored wilderness where you can throw together a hut, hunt and farm without anyone telling you to fuck off or cops breaking your shit or locking you up.
Too plant those vegetables and ensure they make it to harvest without bugs or fungi.
Not all water is as naturally clean enough too drink not even running water is as safe as you would get out of a tap. So you have too collect and boil the water out of a river and store it in a sealed tank to keep it from going stagnant.
Also since you are going to need a fire for boiling water, cooking food and heat you need to cut down a few trees into sizeable parts for a pit or stove.
You think life is hard now? Imagine having to do that everyday with no days off and still having to work your 8 hr shift.
You wouldn't and would quietly accept the convenience being provided.

Maybe 5 hours if hunting/gathering but there was always more to do.
