Ever been asked for Grey Poupon?

One of my life's disappointments is that no one has ever pulled up next to me and asked for a jar of Grey Poupon. I've been keeping a stash just in case this ever happens.

Unfortunately, no, but I have been strung up for buying my salsa in New York City.

NEW YORK CITY?!?!

Get a rope.

"It's not salsa, it's Pace". To this day, that commercial is still stuck in my head 😂😂
IpeeInclosets@reddit
I think the worst part of that is pace is pretty low to mid in terms of quality.
Nothing store bought is superior to layes jalapeno cheddar cheese dip!
Calbebes@reddit
Haven’t had that, but my favorite store bought salsa is Mateo’s in terms of texture. Wish it was spicier though, the only one we can find is medium and it’s not spicy enough now I’ve gotten used to the super spicy homemade one at our local taquerio.
IpeeInclosets@reddit
Mateos is hoss But layes jalapeno cheddar dip is 110% cheese product, but I live it. Kind of a joke, but would rather that than anything pace makes.

Well played!

Your ride may be your problem. If you are in a Rolls Royce, people will be asking for Grey Poupon all the time. Nobody is going to think to ask someone driving a 96 Corolla

Hmmmm maybe I should upgrade from my Camry....
Skjellyfetti13@reddit
You need to be driving an old Rolls Royce. On several occasions, I have don’t this to people in the back seat of an old Rolls. 60’s or older.
mackelnuts@reddit
When I was like 12 or so I was walking with my friends and we saw rolls Royce at a stop light across the street. We all yelled at the guy asking the guy if he had any grey poupon. And he did! He pulled out a little jar and showed us. The guy had probably been waiting forever for someone to ask him. My friends and I were just falling all over ourselves laughing.
Pristine_Main_1224@reddit
Don’t we all have a jar of Grey Poupon in our car just in case it’s needed?
insomniacandsun@reddit
Yes! Good times!!
MsBlondeViking@reddit
Yes, but not since I was a teen.
John_TheBlackestBurn@reddit
I don’t think so, but friends and I asked for it many times at many stoplights.
melvinmel@reddit
Excuse me, are those... Bugle Boy Jeans you're wearing?

Have asked and been asked. In none of the cases did any of us actually have a jar so I kind of missed out.

In a bunch of lines getting into concert/sporting event?
Dog_Baseball@reddit
Its happened to me.
_R_A_@reddit
I think the last time I did this was back in the fall. Rolled up next to one of my coworkers at a stoplight in the middle of nowhere, couldn't resist myself.

I thought that the scene in the Wayne’s World movie when they spoof the commercial was the funniest thing ever. High comedy for an 11 year old
Moxie_Stardust@reddit
Are you driving a posh car?
Illustrious-Lead-960@reddit
I’ve been the asker before but not the askee (in an actual car).
deowolf@reddit
I keep packets in my glove box just in case. I'm bringing some on Monday to a college who showed up to a meeting today with a bottle of ketchup. It all serves the wheel.
napalmthechild@reddit
I was doing the asking. I guess I should’ve asked more people!
epidemicsaints@reddit
No but someone asked if those were Bugle Boys I was wearing.
Frosty_Cloud_2888@reddit
But of course!
midnight-dour@reddit
Actually, yes. I used to work at Jimmy John’s.
NW_Forester@reddit
Yes, but it was a friend making a joke.
Wonderful-Elephant11@reddit
Yeah, I operate heavy equipment often including a rough terrain crane with tires as tall as a man. And dudes getting you to stop the machine, only to ask for grey poupon was funny again apparently not that long ago. Might have to do with all the other old bastards being prime age for the commercial and Wayne’s World.
