25 years ago we had a neighborhood park off 77 and normal every night the midnight boys will dump a streamer in the pond..just to give the kids something to talk about on the way to school the next morning

That's what I'm saying, how in the fuck did no one notice a vehicle being pushed/driven into a small lake, let alone multiple vehicles?! I saw they pulled out a late 90's Acura Integra, which was one of the most stolen vehicles at one point, so that's understandable why it was in a lake. But the other ones I saw were wrecked, didn't even look drivable, so how'd that get in that lake? How did not one see a tow truck pull up, off load a vehicle directly into the lake, and then leave? Even if it was at 2am, there were homes and businesses in that area, you're telling me no one saw that? Wild shit.

The article has been updated. Police now say, “This is expected to be a multi-day operation. These vehicles are believed to be connected to ongoing investigations.” Maybe they’re stolen?

Stolen would be a good guess. Steal a car, use it to commit a crime, then ditch it in the pond so there's no trace. Rinse and repeat for the next crime. And tell your buddy about the pond if he has a car he needs to ditch, too.

It must be. I don’t know how else 20+ cars get into a pond without anyone noticing. It looked like the cars they pulled out had been in there awhile.
