If you want to work on presentation just because you do, then...

Restaurant backgrounds tend to use the different textures and shapes to their advantage to make "presentable" plates

Like the potato mixtures here, put in middle of the plate, so its clean around the edges.

Slice the meat at an angle in lots of slices, and lay over the potato/veg,

Apply greens if you're using, (asparagus, broccoli etc) just placed over the meat like a gentle blanket, don't just "throw" it on.

For final presentation, chopped fine herbs etc just sprinkled over,
