What is the best boba in DFW?

I seen some post from years ago, but thought from the growth from both Dallas and Fort Worth I could get some insight.
When I mean Boba, I mean just the drink. I do not mind the atmosphere or the environment and stuff. I want something I can get and enjoy with the kids.
Right now, we all enjoy Feng Cha the most. We also used to love Boba Guru, but I feel their changed their ingredient during Covid.
I sort of want to venture out from Feng Cha and try new things.
We currently love
Brown Sugar Milk Tea
Thai Tea
and the kids like very colorful like dragonfruit or like summer melon.
Let say I am looking for the best of
Brown Sugar Milk Tea
Thai Tea
Ube
Orea Milk
If not that please recommend me to try some new drinks. I am open to both Dallas and Fort Worth.

I absolutely love red straw!
saaammmr@reddit
why is no one saying 9 Rabbits
t3ddt3ch@reddit
Feng Cha, best. You can try others, but will come back to Feng Cha. Sharetea is a close second.
mashi7obi@reddit
I second Feng Cha. I haven’t tried Sharetea so I might check them out but I’m loyal to Feng Cha.
Happy Lemon is on my rotation just because of the bubble waffles.
t3ddt3ch@reddit
Sharetea is pretty consistent but they recently did away with a lot of their choices adding to the milk tea like grass jelly and mini-boba, etc, sooooooo Feng Cha it is!
pOOpOObUddY@reddit
Depends on location. My local Sharetea in Rockwall has always had those options, but I was disappointed with the one inside Galleria last week.
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
We went to Tyler recently for the Rose Garden and Zoo, and the kiddo spotted Happy Lemon in Tyler and I got Kumquat Lemonade and I am indeed a fan of that!
WerewolfFormal7595@reddit
The tiramisu milk foam is literally the best thing ever
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
So far, we have tried a good amount of spots and we been leaning hard on Feng Cha
fureinku@reddit
Im addicted to Gong Cha
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
What are some favorites, I tried their milk teas couple times in Austin but it felt a bit watery or not milky.
MissyxAlli@reddit
I prefer Feng Cha over Gong Cha.
wwwwxd_suibian@reddit
Wintermelon milk tea
ango198@reddit
try their strawberry milk tea with oreo 🤌
fureinku@reddit
Mango yogurt with pearls and coconut jelly
Thai tea with oreo crumble
Those are my go-tos
Old-Pin-7839@reddit
We’ve tried probably 20 different boba shops in DFW and our overall favorite is TeaLatte in Coppell.
Ok-Team-6973@reddit
+1 for TeaLatte. There's one in Far North Dallas (Coit & Campbell) and in Frisco too.
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
Any suggestions, I believe there one near North Dallas!
Lucyinthskyy@reddit
I like ShareTea in Mansfield. It’s a chain but I haven’t been to the other locations . I’ve never had a bad boba drink there .
sgslayer@reddit
Rainbow teashop! Their tiger sugar is the best
Many-Connection3309@reddit
Boba on this
raccoonmacaroon1@reddit
Scoop n’ Boba in Garland has the best thai tea boba I have ever tasted. They have great refreshers too and matcha.
soffwaerdeveluper@reddit
Yomie’s is pretty solid, but thats more like a yogurt drink than “boba”.
I really like the Mango Pomelo sago drink at Yomie’s and also the one at Yi Fang.
If you really like the tea aspect, Chi Cha San Chen is good. But their drinks are more tea focused and wont have many fruity options.
Hyperly_Passive@reddit
TP Tea is a chain straight from Taiwan, and they're among the most authentic imo, especially their taro tea.
They have a location in Richardson, or plano a bit further north
Admirable_Bad_5192@reddit
If you love Feng Cha, Sharetea is a solid second choice. Also, try Happy Lemon for their unique bubble waffles!
gdragon79@reddit
Boba is overrated
FigWise5682@reddit
Feng Cha is solid, but if you’re looking for something new, definitely try Gong Cha’s Thai tea with Oreo crumble. It's a game-changer!
36Voltman@reddit
These are probably the best ones in the area. I'd recommend Möge for the Oreo and Fruit teas, Tiger Sugar for the Brown Sugar, and maybe Tea Top for Thai tea. Most Boba shops will have Taro which is a lot like Ube.
Möge Tee Ben Gong's Tea TP Tea Tea Top Kung Fu Tea ShareTea Tiger Sugar Nature Brew Vivi Gong Cha Onezo Pu'er Daboba R&B CoCo The Alley Happy Lemon Royaltea Feng Cha Tsao Caa Ding Tea
cat58854w7v@reddit
tiger sugar and MÖGE TEE are my favorite. Tori dori chicken does make some adult bubble tea which is interesting.
Sterfrydude@reddit
the stand at the farmers market is pretty solid! just have to go on the weekend but it’s a great place to hang out.
17kangm@reddit
Moge Tee in Carrollton. Nothing comes close.
DangItB0bbi@reddit
The one from a can in a 7/11.
mrsmateen@reddit
I really like Tea Daddy and The Alley Tea
fiera6@reddit
Fruitealicious. Carrollton is my fave location.
Last time I went to FengCha they violated health codes by opening my drink with a random utensil on the counter, pouring boba in it, and snapping on a coffee lid to fix their error like nothing. This was after I had drank some of it. Gross.
NoDadNotMyTrolls@reddit
TP Tea is IMO better than most other places
mustbemydreams@reddit
Check out the Asian Grub in DFDUB Facebook group! tons of good boba recommendations. I love the brown sugar boba at Gong Cha, Thai tea at 7Leaves Cafe, and Fat Straws is DFW owned with awesome mochi donuts, perfect for the kids.
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
I am actually in the group and I feel doing some reviews here and there ;)
Thai Tea at 7Leaves is amazing!!! however kiddos dont have any favorites :(
When did Fat Straws add mochi donuts? Last time i went was in 2013 in college O_O
Mausbarchen@reddit
I would say since around 2017 is when they added mochi donuts. I think they’re the best ones I’ve had in DFW, too.
My vote is for Fat Straws. I’ve always loved them. And locally owned ☺️
mustbemydreams@reddit
Fat Straws has been doing mochi donuts for a couple of years now, with new flavors every month (they update their IG). I like theirs more than Mochi Nut, and they’ve got a special place in my heart since they’ve been around before the DFW boba scene blew up lol
wutcooldown@reddit
Chichan San Chen in Carrollton is top tier. The Alley in Plano is also a worthy mention.
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
That +1 for both, any recommendations from those locations?
Gamja9538@reddit
Passionfruit oolong
corthan73@reddit
If you are near Plano, The Alley is awesome for fruity drinks, which may fit your preferences well. TP Tea is very authentic but isn't as sweet. It's in Plano, Richardson, and Carrollton.
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
I have never heard of The Alley, I will look into this!
TP Tea is great, but like you said their sugar level isnt ideal for the kiddos.
Gikan64@reddit
I second The Alley, their Brown Sugar Derrioca has warm boba that is such a joy to drink.
username_user13@reddit
In Garland, try Scoop n Boba! I enjoy their creations—and then if you need an extra dose of fun, visit their sister location down the road Scoop n Bun—ube ice cream on a donut?? Yes please!
CmonGuy@reddit
Moge tee!
sunshao1031@reddit
I like moge tee in Carrollton
IcedCowboyCoffee@reddit
IMO, when it comes to the best boba--as in the actual tapioca balls inside the drink--Fat Straws has made the best boba for years. Perfect consistency, perfect size, perfect level of chewiness. From your list of drinks, I'd also argue they make the best Thai milk tea.
dau_hu@reddit
Love 7Leaves and Ding Tea!
Opacarophilyyy@reddit
I like T P Tea and R&B TEA
tonyr35@reddit
My favorite is redstraw tea bar in Carrollton. In terms of chains I like Happy Lemon and R&B tea
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
I have had really bad experience with R&B where they either messed up the order or sort of acted like they were rude. Which it could have been also me because I tend to get a bit testy when things arent fixed.
I shall try Red Straw, any favorites that i should look into?
tonyr35@reddit
Interesting! I’ve only had good experiences at the R&B tea in garland but I’m sure it can vary.
At red straw everything I’ve had is great! They use all natural/organic milks and syrups. And no powdered milk mixes. I’m a fan of the simple drinks so the green milk tea is my fav.
invester13@reddit
There is no such thing as BEST boba.
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
I cant say much because it is true, everyone has a different taste and its hard to pick from those!
chrisofchris@reddit
Bethany’s Cafe in Arlington is really good!
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
My Gosh! I used to go there for their food and drinks in college. I heard the owner retired, and I havent been since covid!
Are they still as good?
Confident_Oven_6242@reddit
Mung bean milk tea from 7 leaves.
No_Cry7605@reddit
Tiger sugar
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
Cant go wrong with them, do wish they had a bit more variety tho
Jameszhang73@reddit
Chicha San Chen but you'll pay a premium for it. They've won the equivalent of Michelin stars for their teas.
seandon2020@reddit (OP)
Depends on if the lines are long still.
Is it worth it in your opinion and what are some suggestions?
heyitsmelxd@reddit
I’m up in Addison and have been to most of the ones near me. Krak Boba has been hands down my favorite
Shibaswift@reddit
Im looking for rhe best dairy free ube/taro, will def be utilizing this thread
