James May Gin Event

Heading to Miami and I have never been to one of these type events. About how long do you have to interact with James (don’t want to overstay my welcome)? Wanted him to sign a picture of my Dune buggy I rebuilt inspired by the Beach Buggy tour of Namibia and also wondered if he’d sign a rear view mirror I’m putting on the car?

I went to the one in NY a couple of days. Showed him a picture of my car and asked him to roast it. His reply: "It's fucking terrible but I like the wheels. Although it is purple and I like purple and it is a BMW M5 and I like M5's so I guess I can't really roast it." Bucket list moment right there lol

James being too logical and honest to be able to actually roast your car is the most James May thing I've read in a while. haha.

I’ve met him twice, charming man.
I asked him to sign my hat and an arcade card, and really I think the jist is pop in, say hello, ask for a signature, a few pictures, and maybe or maybe not buy a bottle.

Here's an idea - see if he'll sign a blank piece of paper, then bring it to a vinyl wrap place and have them scan it and create a vinyl signature you could apply somewhere on the car (dash maybe?).

I almost towed the car there to see if he wanted to do a review (it broke down last week). Was on the way to mechanic this morning and if I’d have kept going back wheel would have fallen off. So I’ll stick with bringing a picture along and letting him roast me or the car.
