Let me put it into simple terms: "Tough Shit".
2 years ago, I was a supporter of the Jews and thought they were receiving a "bad rap". Today, the list of Jews I give a damn about is: Mate, Blumenthal, Finkelstein, Halper and Benjamin. You know, the "self-hating Jews"
The rest of the Jews can go to hell.

"The general feeling of comfort my in group feels is more important than actual violence and death against people (including even Jewish victims)" is what this article is saying
If the US had ethnic/racial tensions like what has happened in other countries and a potential pogrom or mob massacre towards Jews looked likely, I'd actually be siding with this woman (tho disagreeing with how she phrased things) in urging a collective toning down of hatred. And for that matter anything preventing future attacks and explicitly denouncing them in circles with high tensions is good
But what she's doing isn't that, she's instead trying to attack and demonize non-Jewish leaders/influencers as collectively accountable for what isolated, unorganized people do, and demanding political concessions as payment
So that sort of collective responsibility logic is gonna lead to the opposite as more and more people react in the other way, seeing the Jewish (and/or zionist) community as collectively responsible for perceived wrong doings

I doubt Israel would succeed in taking over Gaza (and the West Bank) killing and expelling all the Palestinians in the process. Nevertheless, the world will remember this event for a long time like they remember the bible.
