It's very rough and not a place for outsiders. I did volunteer work there with children from deprived backgrounds and it was very eye opening

I saw the Only Fools and Horses episode To Hull and Back once. I've never been to hull. I understand that their public phone boxes are/were a different colour from other parts of the country. Depends how important it is to you that you live in a place that used red phone boxes in the past, when people used phone boxes for making calls. Nobody really uses phone boxes these days, do they? On my town a few years ago, a load of phone boxes appeared and I thought it was silly. Then I looked it up. Apparently, people put phone boxes up, knowing that they will not be used, purely so they can then sell advertising space on the side. Something to do with not needing so many licences to put up a phone box as you would to put up an advertising sign in the middle of the pedestrianised area, because a phone box is a "service". Thank you for your time.

They are still white. And don't have a crown.

Even if you're working in Bransholme there's no need to live there if you don't have to. Rent in Hull is ridiculously cheap so you'll find somewhere nicer easily. Maybe Orchard Park?

Look I live fairly locally, Bransholme is nowhere near as bad as it used to be but it used to be pretty fucking terrible so it wasn’t hard for it move from being utter shite to merely not great. Get yourself settled and then start looking for somewhere a bit nicer depending on your budget. The Kingswood estate is actually quite nice for a soulless new build location, I know plenty of folk who live there and it’s quite nice with lots of amenities. It’s also only a mile away from where you currently are.

I visited Hull and was murdered twice, then on the way home apparently drove in a bus lane that wasn't there and my car was impounded. As I'm not qualified to do anything and have no car, I'm now a politician. Kidding, I was murdered eleventy times. Hull (the city centre) is nice, though.

I went to visit a supplier in Hull. Location about 15 minutes walk from the station. I was advised to take a taxi. The meeting was in the middle of a weekday.

To be fair, that could just be because of the roads making it an unpleasant walk. It's not bandit country within 15 minutes walk of the station.

It used to have a very bad reputation. No idea about nowadays.

Idk if this is a joke but it’s extremely rough lol. Born there and grew up there. Maybe things have improved in years since. It was legitimately a cesspit. Try rent nearer the avenues, city centre, literally anywhere else. Go have a google map drive round the places you see.
