GoHawk speakers on a eBike, awesome!

I've added GoHawk speakers on my ebike. I'm using my battery 🔋 48v 17Ah as energy source. I have to use a step down converter(weather proofed it myself), from 48v to 16v, between the battery and the speaker. This model of Gohawk speaker have built in amplifier. The sounds is crisp and deep. It's 8 out of 10 in sound quality, the disadvantage is the lack of a hard deeep base. But for that you would need a proper subwoofer enclosure, which isn't the most convenient shape on a bicycle steering. Anyway I would recommend.

Ear buds would have been a more considerate option for the other humans around you. But I bet you didn’t consider that, did you?

Stfu karen 🤣 buncha cry babies over some speakers you might hear for less than 2 mns at a light 🖕
Headphones of any kind with 100% kill a riders ability to hear traffic, even ones with passive hearing, unlike open air sound which also let's the rider be aware and stay more alert than the alternative.
You folks are ok with men using a woman's bathroom and public shower but want to gripe over a kids music on his bike

Wow, I was with you up until the transphobic bullshit at the end.
JCOConart@reddit
No phobic. Realistic. I'm not afraid of them, but I'm not supporting anyone with a mental illness struggling with body dismorphia walking into the same bathroom with his pickle out while my daughter is using the same restroom. I'm not letting my kids feel unsafe with a simple task like using a public restroom. I'm sorry if that offends you, but that's a fact

WHAT?! I can't hear you. I have to turn down the volume. Have you ever heard about a portable Bluetooth speaker? WTF do you think they were invented and why did they gain in popularity? Grow up or move to the forest so you can demise alone

waaaaa i'm a karen and speakers on bikes are bad waaaaa
CaliDreams_@reddit
Why is everyone here so against speakers on a bike?
BazilBup@reddit (OP)
I don't know man. Thought this was a real ebike community of explorers and diyers. Adding entertainment and cool lightning is the next natural step in the ebike development. We are building an electric vehicle so why stop at just adding an electric engine. Trust me this is one decade away from becoming the norm. These speakers are actually made for motorcycles.

it's funny because every car in the world comes equipped with speakers. i've never heard of a car that doesn't have a radio and speakers. i mean what the fuck, the radio is in the dead center of the fucking dash board of every fucking car. and people come here looking for creative helpful ideas about how to just add one speaker to their bike and all the karens start foaming at the mouth. it's absurd and i truly don't get it. i 100 percent understand that people who live at busy intersections get bothered by obnoxious stereo systems, but being all negative about a little bose bluetooth speaker is ridiculous
valleylegend69@reddit
i'm wondering this myself. i just put a bunch of r/ebike anti-speaker karens on blast cuz i looked up this topic for the first time and i was surprised by how karen people can be on here

I have been using a {10yrs} Plye 300w 2.0 handlebar system along with {On the rear rack - added this summer . Before I used a small {homemade speaker box} 300w Gohawk soundbar as a lightweight rear sound surround for my DIY 750w 30amp controlled 700c rim Ebike. This runs off 4, 12v rechargable batteries, 2 per system gives solid runtimes{. The bike will die first even at always full-blast play} There are a Few must-haves for the best sound and ease of use. 3.5 plug HD Bluetooth adapter old school plug-in lines { 3.5 plug noise filter is a must}Android phone with an EQ app. Sounds nice and crisp at volume.

you made a homemade speaker box for a ebike speaker? wow that's pretty dope.. and you do diy ebikes? wow... also i appreciate that you like 3.5 wired connection if that's what you meant by lines... i like how you like to use an EQ app too! i really like the way you think! i love wired aux connections, and i love adjusting eq, and i'm looking to attach an affordable speaker to my ebike... what's the best way to attach a speaker to an ebike? do i need to keep my cargo rack attached to my bike for that and use zip ties or what?
GoodMerlinpeen@reddit
Ah, so you're that guy...

hi karen i'm valleylegend69 and because of you and the other karens on here i'm gonna make sure i get a bluetooth speaker for my ebike that's louder than i wanted it to be, just so i can rub it in your face that all you winey hineys that bitch and scream about speakers on ebikes are a bunch of karens who demand ebikers use earbuds when you don't even know what environment the OP is planning to ride in.
