Hudson River Exclusion and Bedminster TFR

Hi all - Visiting NYC this weekend. Was planning to fly the Hudson River Exclusion on my way out on Sunday. I see today the Bedminster VFR (presidental) TFR will be active. Based on what I read, it seems like you can still do this legally. That said, anyone have experience? Will ATC approve IFR transit via the exclusion (1000-1300ft, not the VFR zone below that) even with an overlying outer ring TFR active?

Well. I'll say one thing those notams are not clear at all. The bedminster ones say the Hudson and east river exclusion is not restricted. While the Morristown and Newark one say you have to be transiting with a code and basically will be allowed on a workload permitting basis.

Agreed. Thought I was mis-reading it. Figured worst case I can ask/verify enroute.

I looked at it again and that Newark inner core is right on top of the hundson and east river and it's prohibiting basically all non essential traffic. So, I don't think you will be able to get through.

The different TFRs are active at different times. The Bedminster TFR barely touches the Hudson exclusion, which is probably why it's excluded from the TFR.

Did it a couple weeks ago similar circumstances. Requested Skyline route at 1500, they had no issue with it. Unsure about lower in the SFRA but Skyline is at least an option

No problem. N90 made it super easy. When we went through they had a 2 ship of F-18s patrolling at 2500, made for some cool sights
