How to remove the speed limiter on a totguard 500w 27.5”

I’m curious if it’s possible to make the bike go faster then 21.6mph without like taking apart the battery. I’ve looked at a lot of ideas but My display only has p1 p2 and p16 so I can’t change the speed.

I’ve been scouring through the internet for this hack too. I have the same bike and I can’t find the speed hack anywhere on the internet so far. If you do find a solution please let me know.

I honestly don’t think there is one that doesn’t involve physically hacking the bike battery

Yeah unfortunately. I tried opening up the controller but I didn’t know what I was seeing and I closed it back before I did damage to my bike

I’m going to try to upgrade the 27.5 soon they have a bafang like motor basically exact replica other than there being no bad ant badge, I’ve seen those peak out at 1.2 kw

If you do please update me! I’d like to upgrade too

Planned it all out already, I need a eletric scooter controller, smaller than regular controllers for e bikes and can fit under the battery, and I’ll also need another battery, 2 10 ah batteries equals 20ah which should supply 20 - 22a fine, the reason the original controller is locked is because it’s meant for electric scooters also, I have a simular one in my hiboy scooter

This sounds great! Even after reading this lol I still don’t think I know how to fit all these together but when you do, I’d love for you to take me through the steps. I’m tired of being capped at 21.7 mph :(

I got it to run my guy. This thing is sick. I have a triangle battery and a stock battery with a dual battery converter. They actually have 21a controllers from the same company as the stock controller. I just went for that and figured out this controller is the same one from a bike called duotts c29. It’s a 29 inch bike with the exact same motor but peaks higher with no speed limit. Didn’t have any issues so far though I’ve used it 4 times last week.

I know that this conversation was forever ago but I’m a new rider and I’m very confused about where the controller is and it is confusing because I just don’t know where most of the stuff that you guys were talking about is and I really need help finding it because I would like to make my bike fast. Ive been looking for the speed limiter but it’s to confusing so I stopped. I don’t know like where to buy this stuff, how much it’s going to cost?

u/Equivalent_Quiet7957 i recently bought one of these bikes used, and it came with no battery or charger. I found a great deal on a new battery + charger (48v 13ah), so i bought even though its not specifically for the TotGuard. Because of that, i had to remove and replace the old battery mount with the new one, and while doing this, i unexpectedly found the controller. Its contained in the lower section of the battery mount.

There’s really no quick ways to cut the speed limiter off of these bikes, I replaced my controller with an unlocked controller and the stock internals can handle it just fine. I even reached out to the company that makes the controllers for these on alibaba and they can’t be unlocked.

u/limitedtampa did switching controllers get you more speed? If yes, whats the top speed now? an could you let us know which controller you bought.
thx
