XMP issue PC not booting properly

Hello there, I have an issue trying to activate XMP in the Bios, it doesn’t work and shows me a screen telling me to press F1, F2 or Alt+L to return to previous good settings.
I would like to take every advantage of my RAM, they are stuck at 4000 where they should be able to hit 6400 I guess, here is my setup :
-MB: MSI B760 Gaming plus WiFi (Bios version E7098IMS.HC1) -GPU: RTX 5080 OC Ventus -CPU: Intel I9 14900KF -RAM: 4x16 PNY DDR5 MAKO RGB -Display (if there is any sense talking abt it) is not really good for my setup, it’s a 1080p with 144 refresh rate, but I plan to buy a 4K 240HZ screen in a few months!
Please do keep in mind that I’m novice and I’ll need simple explanations regarding what’s going wrong with that 🥲
Also English is not my native language so please use basic words and explanations 🤗

Four sticks at a 6400mhz OC is too high of an expectation, try somewhere between 5600-6000 with 1.3V if the default/auto settings don't set voltage for you

Do that put my computer in any danger? The Voltage thing?
Narrow-Prompt-4626@reddit
A 1.3V setting to your VDD is conservative and safe. Most XMP settings set it to around 1.3V-1.35V, sometimes 1.4V
Just make sure you are applying the correct number to the correct setting - it should be called DRAM Voltage in your MSI BIOS.
If it doesn't work, try 1.35V

I just did that! DRAM Frequency is at 5600 G2 (56x1.00x100.00) DRAM Voltage is at 1.35
Seems to work, well computer booted, didn’t start playing or anything so I still don’t know, should I try 6000 Frequency?

Awesome!! Yes you can try 6000mhz, that may require 1.4V but also it isn't going to be any performance difference you can notice from 5600mhz
Also just know booting does not mean stable. You should try playing with it and see if there are frequent stutters or crashes. If you get a BSOD, sudden crashes, or stutters, it's totally normal - just means to lower the speed or raise the voltage slightly

6000mhz and 1.35v seems to work properly! I played almost the entire afternoon with no problems 🤗 your suggestions worked for me, thank you! :D

Cheers!

Thank you! I’ll try that later in the day 🤗🤗

2 sticks would be more efficient if XMP works?

Your CPU officially supports up to 5600 RAM, there's no guarantee that its memory controller can handle faster than that. You have 4 sticks on top of that. More sticks is more stress on the memory controller, and it's harder to run at high speeds.
See if you can 6400 with only 2 sticks.
