Bike specs for these trails

Considering an e-bike for use on forestry tracks. These are gravel, but pretty rough gravel and I don’t know if ‘gravel bikes’ are more for the nice, maintained footpaths. Would these kind of trails need a ‘proper’ mtb style bike or would that be overkill?
