Seamen! I just absolutely loved it. A great mix of cocking about, humor, drama and history.
jasonology09@reddit
Mongolia is great. So is Jaaaaags, but idk if that counts as a special.
Cefer_Hiron@reddit
Mongolia and Seamen are the peak of the TGT Era
stardate_pi@reddit
Mongolia is incredibly good. Even if you're not a TG or TGT fan it is a brilliant bit of television.
myspacetomtop5@reddit
John's axel hopping is brilliant. all of Mongolia is amazing...
Pyreknight@reddit
Mongolia. Probably the realest special they did. That John was not able to end up on the Farm hurts a bit.
Monsoonl22@reddit
John the Mongolia episode
odanhammer@reddit
I always enjoyed the Vietnam trip.
Federal-Research-148@reddit
Not the grand tour, but definitely the best amongst the top gear specials
codec3@reddit
Definitely the best soundtrack ever!

Carnage aux Trois, they kill 3 guys, launch a Peugeot into a barn, drop a Citroen from a helicopter, Hammond wrecks the propellor car, a hot hatch race, they drive their cars to the mountain top and a weird French tv commercial! Plus quirky French stuff!
Independent-Role-107@reddit
Seaman, Carnage a Trois and Lochdown.
Federal-Research-148@reddit
Mongolia & seamen
TheMasalaKnight@reddit
It’s not a full special per say but I still think Jaaaaaags gives me the most laughs.
Bubbly-Pirate-3311@reddit
Mongolia, or beach buggy boys
Comfortable_Salt764@reddit
International Buffoon’s Vacation, simply because I was so deliriously ill when it came out that I somehow convinced myself the American was actually stalking them. Now, I always rewatch when I’m ill.
Taeles@reddit
Carnage a Troi, love the trio just commenting about cars and goofing off under no pressure to get anywhere in particular
tege0005@reddit
Dark horse submission (and not an official special): International Buffoon’s Vacation.
Seeing them completely out of their element is always hilarious, and the comical modifications made to their RVs brings me back to the Top Gear days and the brilliant caravanning episode.
k_d_b_83@reddit
That’s in my top 3 episodes they ever did. Absolute masterpiece.
st_nick1219@reddit
I just rewatched this one. I loved James's pub and was sort of pissed when Jeremy backed into it.
romanLegion6384@reddit
Like many others here, Mongola, Namibia beach buggies, and Seamen
RichNo2992@reddit
Always liked Madagaskar and think that special was great aswell.
fakeguitarist4life@reddit
Mongolia is probably the best they did both shows combined
Old_Discipline_1179@reddit
Season #1. Namibia. Season #2. Jaaaags. Season #3. Mongolia. Season #4. Carnage a Trois. Season #5. Sand Job.
carguy123corvette@reddit
Beach buggies, Mongolia and seamen
carguy123corvette@reddit
Blasts from the past
driftdiffusion4@reddit
Mangolia and sandman.
wolfman11038@reddit
Mongolia might be the best piece of content that the three has ever released
newton_rocks@reddit
Rehab, also called Survival of the Fattest.
RockyJayyy@reddit
Mongolia, Colombia, seaman
Radiant_Cricket1049@reddit
Seaman. I thought the Mauritania special was cool too albeit a little dragged out with some dull moments.
BartholomewKnightIII@reddit
Same as most, Mongolia and Seamen.
My favourite clips are James getting covered in water in the merc, and when John wheelspins covering them in mud.
truckinfarmer379@reddit
Seamen or Lochdown
I_Am_Moe_Greene@reddit
Mongolia is just an incredible episode of TV.
No_Doubt_About_That@reddit
Seamen or Eurocrash.
Thought they got up to more stuff that mirrored the older Top Gear specials like going to the market with the watches or Nigel Mansell.
WySLatestWit@reddit
For me it has to be the Mongolia special. Seeing what they managed to do with John and what they had to contend with in terms of Mongolia's constantly shifting landscape was absolutely wild.
I also think One For The Road, their last one, is a pretty perfect goodbye to both Top Gear and The Grand Tour as we knew it.
mikeossy80@reddit
The fast estate special I think it was the Source of the Nile.
The 4x4 special Argentina
HeavyHebrewHammer@reddit
Mongolia and Seamen.
glassjaw-36@reddit
Survival of the fattest, but I do enjoy seaman aswell
That came out wrong 😂

Survival of the fattest!
