Disclaimer: Im a complete noob first off. This is mainly to be used for music production and general tasks but I would like to do a little gaming with my buddies on the side when I have time. I’ve been playing on a series X but my buddies are both moving to PC and I need a machine for the music stuff for my basement studio anyways. Speaking of that….the music side isn’t super intensive with plugins or MIDI and what not. Mainly just recording our full band playing into it but we might end up having a lot of vocal and instrument layers.

With that said…

I’ve been doing a lot of research on GPUs for this build. Im going to be going with a Ryzen 7 series 8 core processor as my CPU (just haven’t decided which exactly yet) along with 32gb of RAM. What’s a budget GPU that would be sufficient for playing multiplayer games like Apex, Rocket League, and PUBG (my big 3 🤣) at 120fps at 1080p. I’m fine with not having ultra settings and all that but I do enjoy the framerate difference when Xbox moved from 60fps to 120fps for the games I play so 120fps would be a must for me.
