That “not recommended for microwave” warning can’t tell me what to do.

Melted plastics is part of a healthy diet, they say ...
Tjurunga@reddit
They get hard and dried out in a microwave. However, they do pretty well in an air fryer.
antigensen@reddit
I put a small microwaveable container full of water in there with them and it works. Or a wet paper towel
waitthissucks@reddit
I rinse them with water first and microwave them a little, then quickly crisp them up on a pan. That make is much quicker than steaming them in the pan and then crisping up imo. They are more squishy on the inside and crisp on the outside so perfect.
danfish_77@reddit
You gotta spritz some oil on them though, imo
rosedragoon@reddit
Did not think to try air frying them! Good tip
caramelcoldbrew@reddit
Dampened a paper towel with water and lay it over the potstickers when you microwave them.
fddfgs@reddit
Just throw a tablespoon of water over them, the steam will stay in the microwave while they cook
prophiles@reddit
I tried that once, and the paper towel fibers got stuck to the skin of the potstickers.

Bowl.
Medieval_Mind@reddit
Don’t mind if I do
ThePsychoKnot@reddit
Great method for leftover pizza too. Helps prevent the crust from getting hard
BigNastyG817@reddit
I just use a mason jar on its side. Hasn’t blown up yet!
The-Final-Reason@reddit
This. But I'd rather just boil if I'm not too lazy
Eray41303@reddit
:(
Evil_Willy@reddit
Oh my. What is this?
reddeadredad@reddit (OP)
They were supposed to be potstickers
Evil_Willy@reddit
I've never heard of them. First glance gave me the impression of raw chicken breasts. Fucked me up.
Ok-Cardiologist-1969@reddit
My wife has never meet a food she won’t microwave 🤣
AndringRasew@reddit
Those poor Tardigrades didn't stand a chance.
Tadasho@reddit
Please don't heat plastics on food, use glass or ceramics, also, put a little water so it doesn't get dry, wet paper towel works too.

What are you afraid of, cancer? Cancer isn't going to be what kills you.

It’s a cornbread tray from work, designed to go into ovens for a brief period, but yeah it didn’t seem to like these guys too much
King_of_chimichangas@reddit
Reminds me of a newly hatched bird
MyMomsTastyButthole@reddit
About the same texture, too
Iminthesheets@reddit
Got the gags.. dealers choice if the award goes to the comment or the name

CloudyNeptune@reddit
Bro why you gotta nuke the potstickers
mwpdx86@reddit
It's the only way to be sure.
reddeadredad@reddit (OP)
No choice
AppUnwrapper1@reddit
At least take them out of the plastic tray first?
CloudyNeptune@reddit
DustOne7437@reddit
Looks like you nuked some slugs!
Flyer888@reddit
The main concern here isn’t the dumplings but the tray. That doesn’t look like microwavable and can melt.
sophi1as@reddit
That's right no one should tell you what to do
reddeadredad@reddit (OP)
Right? Not gonna let some plastic bag be my life coach. They were still delicious, btw. A little slimy
DonnyFerentes@reddit
You tell'em OP, serving instructions aren't the boss of you

Put a bit of water in the container, cover with clingwrap, nuke, enjoy
reddeadredad@reddit (OP)
Thanks! Next time I will.
