A lot of people were saying the S25 Edge thread that it wouldn't survive the bend test or in your pocket because of how thin it is.
JuanElMinero@reddit
Samsung pulls a lot of anti-consumer garbage, but if there's one thing they can do right, it's a sturdy frame.
The Galaxies have been resisting his bending attempts for half a decade now or longer.

If it's been solid for half a decade, I'm sure soon they'll adopt the iphone 6 style frames.

Looks like Samsung's trying to make a phone that's more fragile than my self-esteem.
Strazdas1@reddit
Well in that case Samsung has failed as this phone is quite sturdy.

If there is such a thing as "oddly satisfying videos" this game makes the exact opposite kind. I hate watching people destroy expensive stuff, even if it's for a positive thing like testing durability. Like fingers on a chalk board, or those kids that bought Xbox's at launch decades ago just to make viral videos of them smashing them.
Strazdas1@reddit
I once saw a plane wing bend test. It was this kind of feeling too, even though i get why these tests are needed.

"What could possibly go wrong"
Apparently nothing.
empty_branch437@reddit
If you watched the video, the water resistance.
Ok_Pound_2164@reddit
Applying intentionally destructive force makes it temporarily lose it's water resistance rating, which is also not guaranteed by Samsung, until it flexes back and the rubbery adhesive acts as gasket again.
Should clickbait even harder.

It's no Bulgari Octo Finissimo at 1.7mm thick.
RHINO_Mk_II@reddit
It's also no tissue paper at 0.15mm thick, but that's hardly relevant now is it?
kuddlesworth9419@reddit
You don't want tissue paper to be too thin because you fingers go through it.
itastesok@reddit
Why are you comparing a phone to a watch?
kuddlesworth9419@reddit
It's just a bit of fun. Why is everyone on edge these days.
itastesok@reddit
Was just asking. Sorry if asking a followup question to a random comment seemed out of place.

tldw it survived and apart from the back panel slightly seperating nothing broke
skyagg@reddit (OP)
The back panel only flexed slightly but went back into place when the stress was released. Separating gives off the impression that it came off which wasnt the case, curious to see the breakdown and how Samsung reinforced it.
MysteriousBeef6395@reddit
it did seperate and the water resistance is gone, no point in dancing around that
7Sans@reddit
wow actually great for thin phone.
