I hope someone actually reads what the immunity is for. It doesn't stop them from being sued for actual issues, just irrelevant cases that bleed them dry in expenses.
They've yet to be proven wrong, though. They went about it the complete wrong way, of course. Social media is being emotional buttheads as well. Everyone's the asshole here at this point.
Yes and it required a broken striker assembly and a part from a completely different gun. That's not proof Sig did anything unless someone has proof they were sent that to them claiming it was working. Instagram and Reddit posts don't count as proof, that would be hearsay, despite what many folks would assume is proof. Simple law should be studied by gradeschool students because this stuff is wildly simple to follow.
I admit was grabbing my pitchfork until I actually read the article, which sadly buried the part that said the stay was only on lawsuits regarding lack of external safety. Those actually do sound frivolous
And those plaintiffs can file for immunity too. But money has always been the issue in corporate lawsuits, sig can afford to push their immunity through faster. The system needs a change, but you'd do the same if you could.
I wanted to buy a Cross. That had a recall too, in that case for a delayed discharge. Seeing how SIG is playing the game, the 365X I already have is going to be my last SIG.
The P365 has a few ongoing issues, particularly with inconsistent quality control in its coating. As a result, many users report rusting problems on the slides, around the sights, and on the magazines. Fortunately, I haven’t experienced any rusting myself, likely because I don’t sweat much and the Pacific Northwest climate isn’t particularly humid.
Another common issue with the P365 is the trigger return spring breaking, which leads to a complete dead trigger after a varying number of rounds. To be prepared, I bought nine spare return springs just in case.
Legit on my way to the range with 2 P365s and a P226, 3 of my favorites, and very doubtful I'd buy from them again. Don't even get me started on 277 Sig fury.
It’s amazing the damage Sig has done to their brand, and they didn’t have much goodwill going into this mess after becoming increasingly snooty and overpriced the last few years.
Regardless of if you are going down the hivemind idea on P320s these have been grossly overpriced forever. Even at this price for most of these it’s still too high.
Like 50% off would be a reasonably good price and they probably still make money at that. Wilson Combat has huge margins with their pricing

Good thing it's not the lack of external safety that's driving most of the lawsuits, then...

SIGs response to this whole thing lacked critical thinking skills…and they get paid to think about this stuff.

Yet to be proven wrong? Didn't a video just come out demonstrating repeatable conditions where a sig could fire without a touch of the trigger?

I doubt they will go broke with a military contract. I don’t own an sig btw.
MongolianCluster@reddit
That's a tactic that corporations use against less financially backed plaintiffs all the time. Why should Sig be protected from it?

Same. I’d buy one for 350-400. It’d be a good gun for the house or truck. I just wouldn’t leave it chambered lol
