Cats and Dogs for free

I am about to flip a home. Upon walking the property, I found that there are 10 dogs and 9 cats sitting there starving and abandoned. I usually don’t care about anything but I can’t let little guys go out sad. Guys, please, somebody take these babies off my hands before I call animal control.
There are dogs and puppies and cats and kittens. I’m keeping one of the kittens. DM for more info but I’d like to have this sorted by Friday the 6th.
Just come take them. These animals have been abused. The dogs will likely need a lot of work. At least 2 of them may be incorrigible. All the cats and kittens are solid tho. This place is a mess and I am quite mad at the owner for even putting these poor animals in this position but here we are. I don’t want to put these mfs in the pound… please come take them off my hands. Dm for more info, thanks,

Still available?

Contact A Voice for All Paws (https://avoiceforallpaws.com/) for the cats. Great rescue organization.
pugget20@reddit
Also full. OP NEEDS to go thru DAS. No reputable rescue will intervene and prevent charges.
oldwickedsongs@reddit
Dallas cat lady? (They take dogs too) good luck
pugget20@reddit
Hi, I’m a volunteer for Dallas cat lady and we are full and do not take dogs. These owners need to be reported to DAS. Please report and have them intervene.
Katsumirhea11392@reddit
The "i usually don't care about anything" is a little concerning especially since you are keeping a kitten.
Fluffy-Tie-7192@reddit (OP)
Very Reddit response lmao
JediJantzen@reddit
I think they have a valid point.
supavillan@reddit
Guy has enough disposable income to flip homes I think there are some things he cares Abt and from the sound of the post being a decent human being to vulnerable animals sounds like one of them I think he's perfectly capable of taking care of and loving a kitten
JediJantzen@reddit
Ok. But why are you telling me this?
Katsumirhea11392@reddit
Pretty normal response to someone who says they don't care about anything. Call the cops and report the owners for abandoning the animals. They will take them through the proper channel so you no longer have to care about anything.
Fluffy-Tie-7192@reddit (OP)
Operation kindness will be the route, thanks
everybodyBnicepls@reddit
PLEASE call Animal Control
CoastOdd7275@reddit
Best bet is DAS
Fluffy-Tie-7192@reddit (OP)
Is that Dallas animal service?
CoastOdd7275@reddit
Yes but I’m telling right now they’re so over capacity which is a big issue in the DFW
Fluffy-Tie-7192@reddit (OP)
So… whats the solution?
Alien-intercourse@reddit
Sometimes the solution becomes, that animal control takes them and if they don’t get adopted, for various reasons, they get put down. It’s a hard truth with a city of overpopulation in animals. Especially dogs living in a bad situation starving, they are better off to end their suffering. A lot of times aggression and behavioral issues comes after starving and abuse. It’s hard to ask someone to take that on in their home. Just do your best.

Yes. They do eventually euthanize, but there are a ton of events and advocacy for the animals to try and prevent it. There are also fosters around the area. What kind of dogs are they?
Fluffy-Tie-7192@reddit (OP)
Medium-big dogs. They were sequestered to a bedroom. I heard the barks, they sounded as such. I don’t want any of these mfs to die, surely there must be a home. Project Kindness seems to be the way but I’d like to put them somewhere nice before then.
DisciplineNo4872@reddit
Please don't take them to DAS. It's a kill shelter and there are several sanctuaries or better places
jay_in_the_park@reddit
I was like you, unaware of major issue in our society. There are thousands of stray dogs in every city/town/county, particularly in the southern states. Most of the dogs you found will probably end up being euthanized or in and out shelters the rest of their lives. Do your best to find them good homes but you have now been exposed to an impossible battle that rescue advocates face everyday.
Aggressive-Ad-522@reddit
You need to report the old owner so they can’t do this again
Fluffy-Tie-7192@reddit (OP)
He’s in jail already for some other way worse shit
Aggressive-Ad-522@reddit
Tack this on his record too idc if he’s in jail already. He could be free
EbbStatus1807@reddit
And if ever gets free and has a record of animal cruelty he won’t be able to get more so still important to report him for this
One_Sugar_5719@reddit
Yes, report him for this too. It’s a felony, counted by each animal so LOTS of felonies.
misscrankypants@reddit
Abandoning these animals is a crime. Please report this to the police and the SPCA so that they can investigate the previous owners. Hopefully they will be prosecuted. They will also take all animals into custody for the investigation and they will all get the help they need.
Impossible_Goat_100@reddit
Also if you can I would keep two of the kittens. if they’re younger than 1, they’ll socialize better and play with each other and wear each other out instead of coming to you at 4 am for attention. a lot of ppl who are not cat ppl will adopt a kitten and then become exhausted with the amount of energy and work they need. If you get two of the opposite genders make sure the spay/neuter in a timely manner because cats can have babies as early as 4 months old.
Sirsnacksalot23@reddit
Report the old the owners to the police. Did you leave any food for water for the animals?
MsBlueBonnet@reddit
Yes, PLEASE report it! They could be fined and at least a paper trail can be started on the POS. If Dallas Animal Services picks them up, they will be cared for at least. It’s a horrible situation all around. Thank you for trying to help.
IntrovertExplorer_@reddit
This. This would be considered animal dumping, which is illegal in Texas.
Emotional_Fuel6743@reddit
OP please call Plano animal shelter in Plano parkway and ask if they have space. They usually have space for cats but I’m not side about dogs.
EbbStatus1807@reddit
I know it’s not the point of the post but I would recommend keeping at least two kittens if you’re taking one. Kittens are easier to raise with two because they keep each other occupied and teach each other proper manners like not biting too hard
IntrovertExplorer_@reddit
No offense, but that’s a terrible idea. People use free animals as bait for dog fights or to feed them to their snakes. The best thing to do would be to reach out to rescue groups like Operation Kindness or the SPCA/Humane Society for help.
Fluffy-Tie-7192@reddit (OP)
My sister mentioned operation kindness, I plan on calling them tomorrow. I didn’t consider the point you’re making, thanks, you’re right.
Aggressive-Ad-522@reddit
Please vet people out before giving them the dogs and cats
Rickleskilly@reddit
From personal experience, rescue groups do not take animals directly from people. They take them from shelters.
ganonkenobi@reddit
Operation kindness work directly with Dallas Pollice Animal Cruelty unit. They are the ones if you are in Dallas city limits.
notamyokay@reddit
I would also contact White Rock Dog rescue. They were very helpful when we needed help with a stray litter. And now mama dog is ours.
H2Ospecialist@reddit
Sadly the dogs will likely get out down.
Rickleskilly@reddit
Rescue groups rarely take animals directly. They take them from shelters. They do this for several reasons, one of them being screening for illness and temperament and to see if they have an owner. Given the situation and the fact that there could potentially be a criminal charge against the previous homeowner, I would recommend calling animal control.
If you want to help advertise this situation to rally support for the animals, I'm sure the shelter would appreciate the help. Take pictures and video of the situation, post it on FB animal groups, get people involved in rescuing them, and I'm sure they will all find homes.

We do have some pet foster systems in place in the area; check out DAWG project, Dallas pets alive, & DFW Rescue Me if you want to avoid the shelter route.
