Has anybody used Legacy Wills or an online will company before?

So I signed up with Legacy Wills as they had great reviews they have just called me and wanted me to read out details of my passport driving licence for verification reasons
I don't have either at the moment so had to end the call.
Has anybody used them or any other company and was this information asked for by them?

Can I just say, I have used them and they were fantastic, very informative and efficient, they do start with a basic will which is still valid and legal, I chose a higher priced one for future family protection. However the price I paid was in line with other companies out there. No issues.

Legacy Wills. Sent the Will to the wrong address, resulting in huge complications. This is what happened, my family friend used Legacy Will to write and store his Will. He then passed away, and my father who is the executor, engaged with Legacy Wills to retrieve the Will in order to submit it to the probate office. They send the Will to the WRONG address a few doors down the road. We provided the right address both by email and the release forms, yet they still made a mistake. Legacy Wills have no safeguards against sending to a wrong address. Someone signed for it and then disposed of the will as it wasn't relevant to them. The courier did not check the ID of the person, Legacy wills did not provide a tracking number, or a heads up or a follow up. So the original will was lost. Then Legacy Wills wrote an explanation cover letter and sent a copy of the will to the right address, and we submitted to the probate office, only for them not to accept it, question it and demand more proof and docs. Now the probate office is asking for signed documents from disinherited and disgruntled heirs, something that the will was written to avoid. It is all a complete shambles. Do not pay for their service to keep the will, this company employs people who are not careful or respectful or diligent, with the most important documents in ones life.

Yes I have used them and they were superb. Range from an affordable will all the way up to a full estate planning package. I went middle of the road but the service was great. Highly recommended

Do not use legacy wills. Their reviews are fake. They are never available when needed after a death. Avout 100 phone options and no answers to emails. Extortionate charge to my relative for thejr service.

They should be asking to see the documents, not just read out the details.
How else can they prove you are PompeyJon and not Poopey Jon pretending to be Pompey Jon making his will to give Poopey everything?
Hopefully you're paying nothing as the online will companies are just the new version of the make a will cds that use to be sold in supermarkets, pale in comparison to a face to face service, and some charge a similar price.
