I just refuse to believe Adam and Jamie aren’t friends. I read so much about them having to “tolerate” each other for all 14 years and I just don’t buy it.

I don’t know if they’re doing it to keep up some weird appearance or something but they seem to vibe so naturally. I get it’s a scripted show and all that but I don’t think they’re good enough actors to fake all the good times it look like they’re having.

Led zeppelin was the same way. They never socialized outside of tour or recording. It was a job.

I don't really know anything, but I think they were co-workers not friends and enjoyed doing the projects and making the show, but off camera they weren't hang out buddies. Seems very reasonable to me.

But how do you work so closely and intimately for so long with someone without being like hey...wanna get a drink or something?

I’ve worked with plenty of people I’ve respected, and even liked. But after work, I’m done with anything, or anyone work related.

I watched the show, and I argue, how can they not be friends after watching how they interact, and then I think of how I interact with people at work that I never see once outside of work. I have a good time with my coworkers. But yeah, we don't hang out afterwards.

I agree with you. People can be friends but not have that title. I always wondered why Adam or Jamie don't say it. They don't have to say it. But what I see between them is a friendship even though they themselves don't say they are.

I think it's perfectly reasonable that they weren't friends honestly. It is possible to work with someone for years and not actually be buddies on the side with them. Part of having a job means being willing to work with people you might not like and get along for the sake of being professional.
I mean it's not hard to believe that they weren't friends, they were such completely different personalities and clearly showed the entire show that they weren't friends. Adam kinda strikes me as a kind of acquired taste, he's very energetic person with a lot of ideas and such and and Jaimie is sort of the more serious and quiet one who just enjoys doing the actual work more than being on screen, more of behind scenes guy (which honestly begs the question that if that is the case for him they why do a TV show where ya are clearly gonna be on screen so often and in view of the public if ya don't like that aspect of it?). Seems to me really that if Jaimie didn't like being in front of the camera that often that he shouldn't have done or at least played such a big role in it.
