Recommend me a new Gp please

Today I spent nearly two hours on the phone waiting in a queue (I was 16th) just to ask them to reissue my medication. It was due for a review, and I wasn’t able to order it through the app as usual.
I was fuming my actual call lasted no longer than two minutes, yet I had to wait 1 hour and 47 minutes for that. This isn’t a one-time occurrence. Once, I was on the phone for two hours, got to number 1 in the queue, and they disconnected me.
I can pretty much never see the GP they never have any appointments. So, I’m now looking for a GP practice that respects my time a bit more.
I don’t care where it is, as long as it’s within MK.

Wow looks like I’m in for a real treat when I move to mk. Is there a mediocre gp in or around Stantonbury?

Update on just how bad Brooklands Health Centre really is!
As you can see above, I have waited nearly two hours on the phone in order to ask them to process my prescription.
Then they told me that the doctor will do it but probably only the next day. So I didn’t go to pick up my medicine the next day because I know the pharmacy can be busy too. I couldn’t go pick up the following day because I was busy, so I went on Friday afternoon. The pharmacy told me that the GP didn’t send them the request since April. I got so upset that I drove immediately to the practice. Despite the fact that on the way I wanted to make a scene, I decided not to do it. The lady on reception was nice enough and apologized and ensured me that she requested this to be done urgently and that I could pick it up today. Well, I went to pick it up, just to be told again that they still had not received anything from the GP. Like what the actual fuck are they doing there? I am now out of my medication for a week. I am not blaming the whole week on them because I was the one who didn’t realize it in time that I was running out of it, but I have contacted them twice within 4 days. Both times I was told that it would be done and nothing happened. They should be shut down. Absolutely no respect for their patients time and well being.
Thank you for every recommendation!

Assuming this is a whitehouse GP because I have had the same issue. Waited for over 2 hours. My asthma prescription is supposed to be on repeat and they failed to do that. Dropped by to request for the prescription in person and they sent it to somewhere I've never lived.
Wonderful-Ad9779@reddit
Eagle bridge in Crewe took me 187 calls to get through then I had a 30person que 😂 I’m just going to wait until it’s bad enough for me to go hospital
axhmr_me@reddit
That’s insane!
I’ve had enough of it and ended up going the private route. I can see a GP on the same, if not, very next day. And for referrals I am seen to within the week. Even if they refer me to the NHS as opposed to a private doctor.

I dont know why, in Uk they do this, with that many advance tings you can do here, like renew you passport online, driver license, many other things and to get a bloody appointemnt you need to call, why dont allow people to book it online and save 1hrs a day for urgent issues that people can't book instead to send them to the walk in center that minimun waiting time it's 4hrs

fax
BangAverage90@reddit
Download an app called AirMid - it's linked yo your NHS number and your GP. You can request repeats on the app, saving you time and also saving the surgery time not having to answer a call for something that could be done online/app
purple_maus@reddit
It's no excuse but do they use an online portal? Mine does and you just shove a message over and wait for a response, usually the wait time isn't too bad. It's a sorry state really.
dottymouse@reddit
They do have an online portal - sort of. There's an online form you can fill in and someone will apparently get back to you - but it's only open until they run out of space for that day... So probably 15 seconds at 8am.
Srapture@reddit
Whaddon Healthcare does this too. Since I moved house, I haven't gone to the GP once because any time I think "Huh, that's still happening. Might be something serious. Better get an appointment in the diary while I remember", they've stopped allowing applications.
I honestly wouldn't mind if they chucked me on the very bottom of the pile and booked something 2 months away, I'm just too busy and scatterbrained to do the morning rush thing.

Brooklands use the Accurx platform like many other GP surgeries which they will disable if they already have too many requests for appointments or admin requests such as ordering repeat prescriptions. It also won't work when the practice is closed. However, they should also use the SystemOnline portal where you can easily order repeat prescriptions. If the medications is under review and therefore not selectable from the list then simply choose the Customer Request option which is a freeform text box and enter your medication name(s) and dosage(s) while also explaining that you couldn't pick them from the list as they are under review. The relevant doctor and/or inhouse pharmacist will still pick it up and process it although, as with reordering over the phone, it take a little longer because the item(s) still needs reviewing.

Newport Pagnell Medical Centre are generally ok.
darybrain@reddit
1h 47m is nothing for NPMC. I hit a little of 3hrs yesterday. Don't encourage anyone else to go there otherwise the queues will only get longer.
SquashyDisco@reddit
Disagree.
I have a shared care agreement with them, until they cancelled it without notice and did not tell me. I have lodged a complaint with the practice manager about this. They also close their NHS App appointment service on a regular basis too.
nap_needed@reddit
Respectfully disagree. They seem to be bumping everyone off to their amalgamated surgeries so they don't have to see people (is the experience people I know that are with them have). Glad they've been good to you though - they were good as a family doctors when I was younger!
Major-Peanut@reddit
CMK medical centre are ok now imo. They changed how the give out appointments to an online triaage system and its way better. The call time can still be long though so I always just go in because I live nearby.

Red House in Bletchley
czoxynai08@reddit
MKV Practice is good, I've never had any issues with them for appointments or medications. Not sure if they take people outside of their circle though but worth checking out.
survivethriveee@reddit
All i have to say is FUCKING HELL
clues13@reddit
I have always used redhouse bletchley, but I've never needed to use it regularly. I understand many are hit or miss, but I've always been able to get something sorted out there. I'm not surprised you are looking elsewhere after reading your post.
BeastMode149@reddit
I’ve just registered with red house Bletchley and can’t see any available appointments in the NHS app or the Airmid app…
clues13@reddit
That's not good. I just posted the one I've used for years, but then again, I only use it, probably once a year. I did have to go in the other week and got a few things booked, but we're only blood tests and asthma reviews. In the past, the best way I always seemed to get appointments was by phoning first thing in the morning
BeastMode149@reddit
I’ve just had a look now and the earliest available appointment online is for 11 July.
clues13@reddit
That's a joke. Far too long, if I saw 11 June, I would think that was long enough. Is this what it is like everywhere? I don't use the doctors enough, but if this is what it is like now, it's unacceptable.
chagawagaloo@reddit
Literally just had to join them and it's been a nightmare. Was 26th in the queue the other day and it was only 8:04. Will be browsing this thread for ideas. We just came from Milton Keynes Village Practice but they kicked us out as we're not in their catchment area anymore. If you can join, they were superb.
Next_Interaction4335@reddit
Can't really recommend stantonbury GP.😂
BillyGoot89@reddit
We had to move GP's after they mucked up multiple times - they let me run out of insulin (as a very pregnant diabetic) and then told me my daughter didn't need her vaccinations at 9 months (told us her next ones were once she got to school!) 🤦🏼♀️
We moved to Oakridge Park Medical Centre as it was a lot nearer to us as well and they've been great. Online referral off the website to request an appointment, ever so easy.
Hope this helps!

Don't use westcroft.
IndefiniteLouse@reddit
I’m with Whitehouse and it’s been fab
Vikito91@reddit
Same we are with Whitehouse GP. They had ups and downs but in general they are ok.
Studog@reddit
Doubt you can use them, but denton village surgery was amazing for us, almost no wait times at any point, about 15-20 minutes out of town..
Ckpearce91@reddit
They use an online portal now don’t they? Last time I used that and got a call back pretty quickly. But I used to be like you. It actually cuts off at 2 hours as I learnt a few times
nasted@reddit
I maybe wrong, but don’t most GPs only take on patients that are within a certain catchment area around their surgeries? You might be limited in your choice.
mrbadassmotherfucker@reddit
Same problem here. Brooklands is the worst GP. Check the Google ratings… how it’s even allowed to run baffles me.
I’ve heard a bunch of neighbours going over to Willen now and they say good things
Queasy-Obligation-29@reddit
There's one in westcroft
Queasy-Obligation-29@reddit
So far I've had no issues. Bare in mind as a minor my parents are the ones who contact them by as far as I'm aware we've had no issues
