16 is good enough, the shortest you can go without SBRing it, and when you add a can it gets loooooong.

That means you're in the sweet spot for reloading. A single stage press and a set of dies is cheap.

You can find used presses all day on FB marketplace. Straight-wall cartridges are easier to load, so getting started is not too technical.

There is a reloading sub that might have comprehensive guides, but a press like below and a die set and you're most of the way there.
