I appreciate RATM a lot more now than I did as a kid.

When their first album came out, I was a metal snob. I thought their music was simplistic, and I hated that it appealed to douchey bro types. I underappreciated the political aspect. What I’ve learned about the world since the early 90s, and with the way the world is now, their message means a lot more to me than it did when I was a naive, privileged kid.
