I actually just started at Lowe’s as a delivery driver a few weeks ago, but my store pays $28. Not sure how long I’ll be staying though. They basically want me to exist in the store doing busy work until the other driver comes back from his delivery run (only 1 truck and 2 drivers), unless said driver took all of the days loads with him (like today).
Seems like they have a crazy spread in pay ranges based on location. I found one that starts at $29.80 and a few others in the mid 20s/hr. But it seems like they only show the pay in the states where they’re legally required to, which usually have a high cost of living.

“Competitive wage” is corpo speak for “we’re paying you the absolute minimum of what we think we can get away with”
JimGordonsKnife@reddit
Competitive?
In what fucking year!?

Your pay will always be competing against your bills

With broad strokes such as that, you should be a house painter.
Not everybody uses a pay raise to spend recklessly.

That’s wild. Isn’t Lowe’s a huge company? Why are they paying so damn low. I guarantee the receiving manager probably makes more than that!
