What is Access to HE (distance learning) like?

I’ll be starting Access to HE from september and it’s distance learning. Are there exams involved? How does it all work, if an assignment is marked as Pass/Merit, most times are we allowed to resubmit to try for distinction? How do we ‘revise?’ for these, similar to A-Levels? Anything in person? Thank you.

There is exams. I don’t think you can resit for pass/merit. But you can resit if you failed. Better to confirm that with your education provider though. However from my own experience getting a distinction is not that hard in Access to HE courses. Most of the study materials are GCSE foundation level. Because of that the workloads are not as time consuming. Definitely not similar to A levels. A levels are harder than university courses.

ohh thanks! Because i heard different things about the difficulty level, some say it was quite hard or as hard as A-Levels. I’d be taking the Health Science route to go Uni. But i guess I still shouldn’t slack off anyways

These are all questions that should have been explained before signing up. Every course is different.
