I had a really close call. I was driving on A Road and the van next to me all of a sudden cut in front of me. I was on the left lane and he was on the right lane. I can’t find the company name, but I have the full numberplate, what can I do?

I do not remember the name of the full company name, at least I don’t think so. I was driving so did not want to use my phone. I just kept on repeating the number plate out loud so as not to forget it! I was so angry, upset and annoyed. It was the first time I had to beep someone!
I was just looking at this van and trying to remember as much details as possible. On the van I remember it says it has rear and front cameras, so I assume it’s a biggish company with a complaints department.
I wanted to let them know the driver put me in a very dangerous situation. I had to break quite sharply! He just turned in, with not much space. Took me by surprise. HE did not have to, it wasn’t like he was taking a missed exit or anything. He was on the same journey for the next 15 minutes.
The only thing I remember about the company name it had Phoenix in it, something like A Phoenix Company. I swear the shortened version it had on the van was like PDCUK but thinking about it, it could be PCUK or APCUK.
What I do have is the full and accurate number plate as I was repeating this like a madman until I arrived at work.
Could anyone help me with this? If I could find the company and they have a complaints department I could give the time it took place and their van plates

Life is way too short to be getting this upset over an incident like that.

Someone's life could be cut much shorter if this van driver continues to drive so recklessly without being checked.

For all we know OP was carelessly preventing a safe overtake. It's a bizarre story/reaction.

this is so funny. go outside more. nothing happened.

If you've got a dashcam and it was dangerous report to operation snap. If not then you don't do anything.

Get one of the camera videos to put in your car that records things like this

If I reported everyone who cut me up, I'd spend more time doing that than actually doing my job driving a truck.
Get over it, move on.
Sea-Still5427@reddit
First look it up to check if the number matches the description before reporting online.
It can also be useful to see the road tax, insurance and MOT history, as that may give some useful insight about any other potential offences the police might want to do something about. For example, no road tax or no MOT invalidates insurance (if they're insured), so they're effectively driving dangerously without insurance.

Hopefully whoever downvoted that has gone to pay for their road tax or book the MOT...

These things happen. You reacted quickly, no one was hurt, move on with your life.

Why have you capitalised he ??
It's a near miss, they happen and its going to happen again. It's not worth the extra energy not just chasing this up but also being bothered about it

If you feel it was dangerous enough to cause an accident, report it on 101, they only need the reg number. I did this when someone pulled out on me from a side road onto an A road causing me to swerve and mount the grass verge. The person in question was fined and had to do one of those online courses.
ApexSpanker@reddit
If it was dangerous then report it to police on 101 or online, it's a bit of a long shot if you don't have dashcam but they may reach out and request any dashcam the company has from the times in question. They'll probably have "lost" it however.
No_Two_4312@reddit
Check your dash cam. If you don’t have one, this is why you should.
