I think his point might be that the Iron Dome isn't useful for the type of conflict that's likely with Turkey would look like. It's not designed for large-scale arra coverage, but to take down low-velocity rockets and mortars. For mid-to long range rockets, Israel uses David's Sling, Arrow, Patriot and THAAD systems.

That's was one of the strangest thing I saw, I mean he's an elderly man, his decline is natural by stating that you are not disrespecting him. But I remember in political subs when people mentioned his age the replies were "but Trump..." even after the infamous debate I remember people saying that Biden killed it, he actually answered the question unlikely Trump, who just lied and mumbled incoherently. Brussels – The President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza during her first visit to Brussels. In her address to the MEPs and in discussions at EU institutions, she emphasized the importance of the union’s enlargement, which she described as a geopolitical necessity.

“It is genocide,” Pirc Musar said in a statement to Slovenian reporters in Brussels regarding the situation in Gaza, where Israel has been conducting a military operation against the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas for more than a year and a half. She also condemned the events in the Middle East in her address to the European Parliament.

Regarding the EU’s response to the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, where Israel has not allowed the delivery of humanitarian aid from the beginning of March until the beginning of this week, the president stated that she understands that member states have different positions. However, in her opinion, even those who have friendly relations with Israel should not forget about humanitarian law.

The Middle Eastern conflict was one of the topics of her discussions with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who assured her that the EU would become more involved in negotiations for peace in the region.

Another central theme of the president’s visit to Brussels was the enlargement of the union, which in her opinion is not only a geopolitical necessity but also a moral obligation arising from commitments made by the EU.

She also discussed the accession of new countries to the union with the relevant European Commissioner Marta Kos. After the meeting, Pirc Musar announced that they share the vision that the enlargement to the Western Balkans, Ukraine, and Moldova is not just a technical process but a strategic investment in peace, stability, and the future of Europe.

“Support for enlargement means building a stronger, safer, and united EU,” the European Commissioner stated after the meeting, saying it is a guarantee of stability for Europe and its neighborhood. She thanked the president for her commitment to enlargement. (May 21)
