Nuke it from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure

You can get a dehumidifier for the car.

First thing you’re going to need to do is find where the water is getting in from. What’s your coolant level like? If it’s low it may be your heater matrix leaking (likely considering the spot is more towards the centre console) but realistically it could be anywhere. If it’s not heater matrix you’ll need to strip back the carpet and interior, dry the cat out completely and then spray the hell out of it with a garden hose until you can trace where the water is getting in from and then repair that issue, plus a full deep clean of the carpets.

thank you for your response, i haven't spilt anything in my car and my coolant level is fine, i do a lot of short trips if that makes a difference tho? but the mould is actually on my backseats too and a little on the sun visor :/ somebody on facebook said something about sills but it be that? x

Mould spreading in a moist environment is very likely. Have a real thorough feel around the interior, (with gloves on) the carpets, under the seats, around the sills, under the boot floor and see if you can find any damp areas. If you can then there’s water getting into the car. If not, then it could just be excess moisture. I would visit a valeter, get a full interior clean and see if you can get an air con bomb from a car parts shop (valeter may well do this for you)

Are the vents to your car closed? There's usually an air recirculation button that opens and closes them, you want it turned off so that fresh air can flow through the car. If you keep it perpetually closed, the car can get ripe quite quickly. The button will look like the profile of a car with an arrow going through it, near your heating and cooling controls.

thank you for your response, i don't seem to have an air circulating button, my car doesn't even have aircon. old car things 😂
