ULPT - company used CCOF to bill 6 mos at a time and contacted for verbal approval at the same time before charging. Did not hear anything for 15mos then charged all in one shot.

Informed I didn’t want to use them anymore after my last 6mos payment. Go on for almost 15 mos not hearing a thing thinking everything is fine. Then all of a sudden charge for 15mos in one shot (6mos x 2 plus the extra mos).
Tried disputing 2x with Goldman to no avail. So they got the amount for arnd $1800 already. And then now trying to collect extra money for their equipment at about $1700.
To top it off, they are trying to sue me in small claims for $3500 (this includes the money he already got from my CC!) so he’s double dipping.
It’s a temporary fence company with a shit contract that technical has no way to get out of because the owner just keeps adding language to cover himself so he can take advantage of people. They should have picked up the fence after my last 6mos payment. And they are claiming that they never got it. I sold the place over a year ago, that’s why I did not want to continue services with them.
Never been to small claims so I’m at a loss. But I’m just so mad about this because I thought this whole situation was behind me over a year ago already.
Give me some protips pls.
This is in California.
