Really struggling with getting CFI done.

Hey everyone, I’m sure I’m gunna get some feedback on this one 😂. But really want to ask, for those of you who really struggled with getting it done how you over came the hump. I have my commercial ASEL/MEL as well as tailwheel and float ratings 400hrTT. I’m currently on a 141 program for my CFI and really struggling with getting through it, having the motivation to study and getting it done. I’m showing up already in a negative headspace and just having issues getting around that. Wondering if anyone else had this issue, and if so how they overcame it and got it done. The “white knuckle just get it done” thing isn’t working well for me and I’d like to get back on a positive track. Didn’t have an issue with any of my other ratings. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Glad I’m not alone lol. Wish you luck getting through it

Yeah, I'm struggling with it. Advance prepping for my 8 day intensive course. The FOI part is difficult \. Very abstract compared to aviation knowledge and very few people that retain any of it to help you prep.

I just finally took my CFI ride, I felt like you with 0 guidance and finally I did enough ground with a guy and he signed me off. I stopped overthinking it and just sent it, tried to get as prepared as I knew how. It was the first checkride I busted but it was my own fault I should've discontinued after the 9 hour oral, I was not fit to fly (brain fried). I say do what you have to do and do it, put the work in and don't hesitate.

I appreciate the comment. I definitely feel like I need to as well just maybe need to reprioritize some things in life and make the time to take it seriously. My flying is solid, studying not so much😂 but again, really appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Funny thing was the last thing I was worried about was my flying (I feel like I have decent stick and rudder) I managed to get through the oral and to my surprise I busted the flight for a stupid mistake on my part. Yeah you need to get it you can't get shit in today's world with just a commercial. Just go through the ACS make sure you have lesson plans and you're good at speaking them to life.

lol why did you delete your old post and repost this with a different title?
I’ll just copy paste my response from your last post:
For what it’s worth, I had those same feelings towards working on my CFI and I know it was 100% due to the training program and environment I was in.
Now that I’ve been a CFI for a while, I am SO GLAD I stuck with it and got it knocked out. I actually really enjoy teaching…(and getting paid to fly!)
I know it’s a frustrating position for you to be in right now, but I can all but guarantee you’ll be happy and grateful when it’s complete. And being a CFI gets a bad rap, but it really isn’t that bad.

I was erasing some things and accidentally took this one down. But really wanted some perspectives so took the time to repost.
But I really appreciate your comment, I feel like it will be too just need to dig deep and get through it 😂 it’s a commitment
