FedEx crosses in front of oncoming traffic

Original post said there were going 120 through the intersection but it’s unclear whether that’s KMH or MPH. Doesn’t really look like they’re going 120 MPH but it’s hard to tell from this perspective.
I feel like even though the car is speeding FedEx should have still seen them coming. Even if they weren’t speeding I don’t think FedEx would have cleared the crossing in time…
Nice save though and thank goodness there wasn’t traffic coming from the other direction when the car blindly swerved into the oncoming lanes.
Express-Society-164@reddit
I blame the 4 wheeler. Speeding.
Venom4174@reddit
Sorry but my dude was going Mach 5
smile_u-r_alive@reddit
That's fed ex for ya
X420ninjas@reddit
This definitely looks like it's more so on the person driving the sedan... They are clearly going far above the speed limit
Centiliter@reddit
The reason we follow speed limits and laws is so that everyone remains predictable. It's very hard to tell if someone's going 120 MPH from a long ways away, and the FedEx driver was probably looking at the light from his side and saw it was about to turn red, so he assumed the driver was going to stop.
I wouldn't blame the FedEx driver at all in this situation, that fucking jackass with the dashcam needs to stop driving like a teenager that just got his license.
DaDoomSlaya@reddit
The driver with the dash cam ran a red light, the fed ex truck was not wrong here…
Briskylittlechally2@reddit
Idk about a whole lot of driving in the US, but this guy is absolutely thundercunting it across several traffic lights and intersections with clearly no chance to stop in time.
AppropriateCap8891@reddit
And it is that excessive speed that almost caused the accident.
If the moron had been traveling closer to the speed limit, the driver would have had more than enough time to complete that turn. It is his excessive speed that almost caused an accident, not the truck. As any driver, he would have been considering the distances of other vehicles and how long they would take to reach him.
And by driving so damned fast, he is the one that closed that distance far sooner than he should have and almost caused the accident. Not the truck driver.
SuperConfused@reddit
Come on now. FedEx driver is the professional driver. It is 100% his fault. You never know, he could have been speeding two days ago, so this would be negligence pe se . He really should have been more professional, don’t ya know?
Averagehamdad@reddit
Bunch of down votes . I guess folks are too dumb to catch your sarcasm.
SuperConfused@reddit
Oh well. Swingi and a miss.
_RanZ_@reddit
If I saw a car three traffic lights over I’m not expecting them to be in my face 1 sec later.
Briskylittlechally2@reddit
Yeah, where I live we're taught to drive keeping into account other people's mistakes and vulnerabilities.
Was he right and the FedEx wrong? Probably. Does somebody deserve being finitoed for having a bad day because you want to do your best impression of a cannonball? Probably not.
AppropriateCap8891@reddit
If he had not been driving like a bat outta hell, there would have been no accident at all. And at the distances there is no way the truck driver could have known he was driving that damned fast.
Not the truck driver's fault at all.

TypicalSoil@reddit
While it is stupid, I've done things similar to this. Used to absolutely rock through town at times where there was little to no traffic.
Some vehicles make it feel incredibly safe, you don't really even feel the speed. Big SUV's are especially liable to this feeling. Addiitionally, if you've done it enough you don't really even pay attention to the speed anymore because it just becomes.... Normal.
This guy should've been moving far slower than he was, but by the same token even at 80 km/h he would've had to brake pretty hard to not take similar or the same evasive action considering how late that semi pulled out in front of him.
AppropriateCap8891@reddit
And the Semi driver would have been determining if it was safe to turn based on what they can see at the time, as well as the speed limits in the area.
By driving so damned fast, the car was not visible for as long, and was closing the distance far faster than he would have been doing if he was driving the speed limit. This can be seen after he finally regains control, and we see the truck had already completed the turn and was completely clear of the road.

Speeding at 120mph in what is AT BEST a 70mph zone, enters the intersection on a red, ann then nearly slams into a truck before entering oncoming lanes.
Absolutely way too dangerous and lucky to have gotten away without killing themselves or anyone else.
basssmeup@reddit
Dude drove through a fucking red light, he was definitely hauling ass and on top of that the trucker probably couldn’t tell he was going to run it. All blame goes to red light runner imo.
holysbit@reddit
There probably wouldnt be any issue at all if they weren’t absolutely bombing down that road… its a matter of when, not if, for these people
ElizzaBum@reddit
Cammer had plenty of time to react, I could see the FedEx driver pulling in from far away. Plus the cammer had should have not been driving that fast.
Juan_Rempel@reddit
You can see it's a really wide angle lens, which means the FedX is much closer than it looks on video, and the cam driver is driving a lot slower than the camera shows.
ElizzaBum@reddit
Not to mention for me personally, this goes for all vehicles including regular cars, if I see someone inching up or doing any kind of movement where the are moving in front of me, I slow down since I don't know what they are going to do. Just a general safety thing.
I've tried gunning for a red light before and almost rear ended someone. Learned my lesson and I don't do it anymore. Rather wait a little longer than wait an hour or so for cops to show up.
IAMTHEBENJI@reddit
Speeding, ran a red light, and swerved into oncoming traffic. The cammer should not be driving anymore. Fed ex saw the lights turn red and took an opportunity that he would've had if not for the dumbass speeding through red lights. 120kmh is 75mph. I doubt a divided highway with stop lights has a speed limit set that high in the US and Canada. The fastest I've seen personally is 55mph on hwy70w going into Hot Springs. It drops the speed limit from 60mph about half a mile from the light
Hurricaneshand@reddit
There's one spot in GA where the speed limit is 65 and has a light that I drive through weekly. I always allow down personally though because I'm usually in my truck and don't like risking a possible sudden stop
Keltic268@reddit
God bless Buford Highway
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
Yeah I know exactly what you’re talking about. Also off 71 in bastrop tx is a heavily populated area where the speed limit is 70mph with red lights out the wazoo
IAMTHEBENJI@reddit
I've only been to Georgia once and I was on a bus to Ft. Jackson and 3 days no sleep
fire_n_ice@reddit
I go up a 65mph highway with 3 red lights every week. 2 of those lights have a flashing sign ahead of them when they're about to turn red though.
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
You may be wrong. I’ve seen in Canada 100 kph in zones like this. and in Texas there is plenty of 70mph zones with cross traffic and lights. Bastrop texas on 71 is like this. It’s unbelievable dangerous and I avoid that route if all possible. I’ve seen them in Utah, Idaho, Arizona and even New Mexico.
spilly_talent@reddit
Where have you seen lighted intersections like this that had 100km/hr speed limits
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
I never said in thorold as I’ve never been there. I was only saying that they exist in other parts of both countries where the speed limit is 70 with red lights and 120k in Canada. And they’re dangerous..but for some reason these dumb idiots keep down voting my comment l, when I was never rude, or never was defending the idiot in the video. Some of you idiots live in your moms basement and never even left your room, yet your downvoting my comment as if I was wrong or being rude. What a bunch of sheep
IAMTHEBENJI@reddit
I've also not traveled much out of Arkansas. I also never assume to know everything especially with roads after my trip out to Ohio.
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
I can understand your POV, because I’m from the east coast. I was so shocked at the infrastructure in the south west when I first seen how dangerous it was compared to its eastern counterpart. More than likely cammer was a d bag and speeding, but I’ve seen some wild ish in my life on the road. Either way when it’s like this I’m always 5-10 mph slower than designated speed limit because you never know when you’ll catch a stale green light in a semi. It’s not always easy to stop
IAMTHEBENJI@reddit
Exactly. Arkansas tends to be slower than most with Little Rock and Hot Springs being the worst about speeding in-city. My first time in Memphis was butt-puckering. I'm just a small town guy and Little Rock was huge to me back then. Then I saw Memphis and Little Rock didn't look so bad anymore. Then I saw Columbus, Ohio and realized I don't know shit about city driving. I don't know what I'd do in someplace like New York. Speed limit or less for me once I'm larger than a passenger vehicle and I always slow down for stop lights because you never know
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
To be honest Colombus isn’t even as bad as Memphis, and I hate all that construction on the 30 passing Little Rock. But completely understood. In PA as a kid I was a nice driver, a good driver. A courteous one indeed. But Houston tx turned me into a monster, and an inconsiderate, and impatient jerk. When I leave the cities I just have to remind myself, it’s gonna be okay 😂
IAMTHEBENJI@reddit
Memphis roads are awful but, at least for the area around the airport, there doesn't seem to be much congestion between the hours of 6:30 to 12:00
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
Maybe it’s calmed down, but I do East to west, and I avoid Memphis at all costs, I’ve only been through that way maybe 5 times in the past 2 years. I usually take 67 through searcy Arkansas and go up through dryersburg to the Kentucky pkway to avoid all that nonsense
IAMTHEBENJI@reddit
Searcy is a nice place. Memphis recently completed a bunch of construction that was blocking up everything. Road crews still pop to half ass their job and not put any fucking warnings out but for the most, it seems like they've finished up around the downtown area off the 55 Bridge. I don't take the 40 Bridge next to Bass Pro. That's always been a nightmare when i take it so i don't. I can't speak to the evening traffic because I got a lady that runs linehaul at night for the outbound freight and she takes the 40 Bridge
Kristalderp@reddit
100km/h is the norm for our national highways. But everyone and their moms are going 120 km/h. If it's a regional highway, it's 70 to 90km/h.
Point still stands that the Cam car is a fucking dumbass.
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
Nah I disagree, he seems more like a d-bag than a dumbass. But that’s just my opinion 🤷🏻♂️
Agamemnon323@reddit
Someone else said this spot is 50k. Either way this guy ran the red.
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
And I think people are taking it as I’m defending the pov driver. Absolutely not. I was specifically talking about dangerous speed limits on highways that have red lights, because they definitely exist
Chingasupinchemadre@reddit
Yea i was assuming it wasn’t 100, but you never know. It just looked like it was way too fast for conditions and didn’t slow down for the stale green causing him to run the red. Presumably a big giant d bag. Fed ex didn’t have a chance to pay attention to his surroundings because it looked like an incline he was climbing so to his pov it was like the simulation spawning an npc trying to kill him.
psudo_help@reddit
Woah I didn’t realize at first how badly they ran the red light.
IAMTHEBENJI@reddit
Yeah. I watched a few times to pick things out and didn't see it at first. That camera dulls the colors bad
psudo_help@reddit
And the late start time obscures how long the light was yellow
Grundy420blazin@reddit
Confused on a lot of your comments. The light turns red as he’s going through. And how do y’all know he was doing that much over the speed limit? There’s no speed limit sign, he’s on a two lane highway, in Minnesota most two lane highways the speed limit is 45-55 MPH. We even have a few that are 65MPH. Also people are saying he ran multiple lights or intersections when the clip clearly only shows the one. The fedex semi is not turning at an intersection. ALSO i don’t believe there’s any way they were going above 80. Things would’ve been moving a lot faster. But that’s just my experience.
Juan_Rempel@reddit
Yep, also remember it's a super wide lens, it looks a lot faster than he is really going.
Octopus_Juice@reddit
This could’ve been sooooooo bad. Thank god there was barely any traffic.

Themike625@reddit
It’s early in the morning. He clearly knows the traffic in his area or he wouldn’t have done that.
FedEx is at fault here.
Snoo97462@reddit
You can know the average traffic in an area and still be in the Wrong. Doesn't stop the fact that they are speeding which 1 is against the law. 2 you can clearly see the FedEx driver already part way though the lane well before he got there which means cam driver would have to stop but swerved due to their excessive speed.
If you going to make a comment on who is at fault at least know the law first. Cam driver would be proven at fault for accident.
Bigbaghead_223@reddit

That dude is driving way too fucking fast.
Chamber53@reddit
I could not disagree any further. I’m certain they could’ve come to a complete stop and if they couldn’t than they were going that speculative 120. BUT the main reason I disagreee is the pickup driver opted to go into on coming traffic with, what seems to be, little visibility if there was a car coming…easy and possibly deadly head on collision.
CDaarnl1@reddit
Seems like he got what he deserved doing 120 on surface streets.
mcgunner1966@reddit
This incident aside...It seems that Swift does stupid shit and FEDEX does deadly shit. Is it just me?
dances_with_9mm@reddit
Both are in the wrong here, but the professional driver would get the brunt of the blame if an accident had happened. I see this with motorcyclists in my area all the time, yes a car didn't see you and almost hit you, but you were driving so fucking fast they couldn't reasonably anticipate your actions compared to a vehicle that is obeying the speed limit.
Mojack322@reddit
Fed ex just killed a motorcyclist in Az last week not paying attention
EhpicBenitez@reddit
The other pedal is the brakes, that slows you down to a stop. Why the hell are you flying down the road and clearly distracted. You can see that truck a mile away
Foxaria@reddit
OP, do you realize how long it takes sometimes to get to that point in a turn when hauling doubles? Sometimes the light turns red halfway through the turn and there's nothing to do about it, everyone's gotta wait till the intersections clear.
The FedEx driver has the right of way being in the goddamn intersection blocking it, anyways though...
FedEx tractors struggle to go from stopped to drivable speeds because they are usually manual-to-automatic rigged and depending on how the traffic lights are programmed the light could have been almost at the end of green, in 10 seconds the driver is at that point in the turn, yellow light for 3 seconds, and then red.
Car was going way too fast and it's drivers like that who cause accidents by going 100mph and looking at their phone every 3 seconds.
Whend6796@reddit
Are we watching the same video? The fedex driver wasn’t at a light.

If it's in the USA my quick math says 109 miles per hour.
He crosses roughly 4 white lines on the road in 1 second which would be about 160 feet per second, or 109.091 mph.
In the US there's a standard length of 10 foot line + 30 foot gap between lines.
Some people in the thread are saying the footage might be from Canada though which does not have a standardized length of the lines/spacing.

I've ridden a fair amount of snowmobiles through high school years that didn't have a working speedometer, so it became natural to me to memorize how fast I was going based on ground speed. This guy is doing 70MPH minimum. No chance in he'll he'd stop in time if he didn't go into oncoming. I'm not able to see the posted speed limit here, but guessing by distance between traffic lights I'd say it's pretty unlikely it's a posted 70MPH lol

Longjumping-Run-7027@reddit
If it is Canada, each white line should be 3m with 6m in between. Looks like he passes three lines and three spaces in a second which means he’s doing about 27m/s which is 60mph or 96km/hr.
ziggithy@reddit
If it's in the US, the distance between two skip stripes is about 50ft. I counted at least 5 skip stripes before they approached the first intersection. So, the driver traveled at least 250ft in 1.5 seconds. Which translates to appx. 114mph. Very rough math here but this seems more accurate given how long it took their vehicle to stop after hitting the brakes.

This how a majority of people drive now. You can have someone 3 miles behind you in different lane and you put your signal on to start getting over in that lane and that person will speed up and act like you cut them off even though they sped up on purpose because they didn’t want to be behind someone.
the_Q_spice@reddit
As a FedEx driver myself:
Can confirm.
Most people don’t drive anywhere near as much as they think they do - and certainly nowhere near as much as our average driver do per day.
FedEx usually tries to pin crashes on us drivers - but this one would be a serious exception.
To put lightly, had their been a crash, the driver would likely have been sued into the ground - not to mention criminal charges for reckless endangerment.
derpsomething@reddit
Dude when i drove semis that happened all the damn time dude
NitroBike@reddit
Sometimes I have to drive a tractor trailer for my current job and people are careless. They will literally cut you off at the last minute to make their exit. It’s a bit terrifying to have a 53ft trailer behind you and slam on the brakes so you don’t kill a soccer mom who’s about to miss her exit.

Pitiful-MobileGamer@reddit
Cammer is an absolute reckless moron, no way that street with traffic signals has a speed limit anything close to what that driver was doing. FedEx probably felt like he had a bunch more time based on the position of that vehicle when they made the go/no go decision.

Cam car 100% ran a red light, and that's why everything in this video happened. Even speeding, the car had time to stop at the yellow. FedEx didn't cross in front of oncoming traffic, one asshole ran a red light at mach jesus and met the consequences.
PlastomaGaming@reddit
Definitely, you can see FedEx making the turn before the guy even hit the intersection. If the speed limit is 35-45 it’s realistic that FedEx thought he’d make it.
shadowmib@reddit
Based on how fast those dotten lines were moving, cammer was going at least 50.
The 120 might be feet per second instead of mph but that would come out to 80mph and i dont think he was THAT fast or he would have ate thet truck
JackxForge@reddit
if you watch with sound you can hear him stand on the breaks as he goes through the light. i honestly think he was doing 80. not that it matters just saying.
True-Veterinarian700@reddit
He also cheers in the video.
AppropriateCap8891@reddit
And when the idiot regains control of his car, you can see that the truck had completed his turn and was completely off the roadway. He had more than enough time to do that safely if not for the jackass speeding.
JankyMark@reddit
That’s what people do they speed up so you can’t turn left
Tangielove@reddit
If Google AI is telling the truth after an image search. It says it is highly likely that it is in Thorold, Ontario, Canada. Km makes more sense than mph.
Pitiful-MobileGamer@reddit
That's my backyard, 80 km away. I got to look at that intersection more closely see if I can figure out where it's at.
If so that's a 50-60 km an hour zone.
Tangielove@reddit
It is wild how not so different those roads look from the US roads, even signage. Granted I have never been outside the US but was surprised to see it wasn't in the US. Geez dude was flying if that is only a 50km zone.
Pitiful-MobileGamer@reddit
It's one of the reasons why Canadian and American truckers can easily move between our two countries. The similarities give familiarity.
Tangielove@reddit
That's pretty cool, to be honest.
Fokazz@reddit
It also looks like cam driver didn't even attempt to slow down... an interesting choice
JackxForge@reddit
watch with sound. hes on his breaks really "early", hes just going way too god damn fast.
Ok_Constant_184@reddit
You’re a hoe for driving like this
Right-Phalange@reddit
Yeah this one is not mildly bad at all
Hurricaneshand@reddit
Wrong sub lol
PolicyWonka@reddit
This is 100% on the driver. They’re going 70+ MPH on a street which would be max 45 MPH.
The truck only started turning when the light was yellow and they reasonably assumed that the driver wouldn’t run a red light. The driver ran a red light while speeding.
BiscuitsJoe@reddit
"idk if it's 120 kmh or mph" 75 mph is still flying on a road like that, but obviously it's mph because this is an American road
OGWriggle@reddit
120kph is still way too fucking fast for that road
Smokeyy1990@reddit
Don't think the FedEx guy thought dude driving would be doing like 70 in a 45.
Glimmerofinsight@reddit
Red car needs to slow down. Brakes are there so you can stop when a truck is turning.
L0quence@reddit
It’s these fucks that are getting hired brand new seat warmers don’t even know what they see under their hood nd can’t judge traffic and how long it actually takes them to get up to speed. These automatics are fckn garbage too and shift terrible, the new western stars. You can’t drive 18 you shouldn’t be in a big truck.
SirFlamingo64@reddit
My man ran the light what a goober
SuperFeneeshan@reddit
It's not fair to blame the trucker for this. People speeding this excessively don't grasp the fact that they're very uncommon. When I see a car in the distance I don't typically assume they're coming up on me going 50 over the speed limit. Same with the trucker. He likely saw the pickup in the distance and didn't assume he had to calculate the speed being like 80-90mph on an arterial road lol.
Sickwiddit1@reddit
This is a good reminder for myself to follow the speed limit, it is there for a reason.
thisisnotme78721@reddit
more like "speeding asshole narrowly avoids decapitation"
Zealousideal-Try3161@reddit
No? The truck is not at fault? The signal turned red, if the dude stopped, there would be no issue, "Oh boohoo it was actually yel-" no? If he passed it on yellow then ok, but when he reached it the signal turned red, yellow doesn't mean "if you're fast enough you can pass", it means SLOW THE FUCK DOWN!
Don't fly on public roads, the truck wasn't at fault, one of the most high on speed dumb af driver I've ever seen. The FedEx trucker can go on and be a good trucker.
jabeith@reddit
Even if it was kph, there's no where with traffic lights that has a speed limit anywhere close to 120
ObjectiveOk2072@reddit
That's not entirely the truck driver's fault, this guy was going interstate speeds or faster on a road that clearly doesn't have a speed limit higher than 55
Helkyte@reddit
That semi went from near invisible because not how far away it was to on top of the pov in less than 4 seconds. Driver is a fucking knob and was speeding like they are playing GTA.
LuRkEr_ReKuL@reddit
Everybody in this video is an AH
Zealousideal-Pay7104@reddit
Oh run a red light and then get angry when traffic isn’t doing anything wrong at all. Fuck face. All of us wish that you slid under that semi and learned your fucking lesson.
studentd3bt@reddit
No way the blame is trying to be pivoted on the one turning and not the one thinking they’re a god and speeding tf
HairyStyrofoam@reddit
This is definitely MPH. He definitely ran a red light. That FedEx was not in the wrong, dumbass adrenaline junky was. Drivers account for people driving correctly on the road, for the most part. Pretty sure he didn’t expect Freddy Fuck-O to be going 120+ in a pickup truck
One_D_Fredy@reddit
Truck started going through that intersection a looooooong time ago bro. They had more than enough time to stop. Especially if they were going the speed limit. That doesn’t look like a highway to me. Many business and residences around. Speed limit had to be max 40-45. He’s doing like 60-75 mph it seems.
_jaelewis@reddit
Driven like an absolute expert.
Better_Error8416@reddit
Idk about 120 mph but buddy was definitely speeding well above whatever the posted speed was and ran that intersection cuz the light just turned red before he entered which means he was speeding the entirety of the time before he even reached it.
Plus, you hear his tires absolutely screaming as he slammed his brakes and he still couldn't come to a complete enough stop to avoid the collision and then had to swerve instead. Fedex driver definitely didn't take into account him being there because the cammer wouldn't be there if he wasn't criminally speeding and he likely saw the lights at the intersection changing so saw that as him having the right of way (which he did since literally no other car was even there minus the speeding cammer).
ironeagle2006@reddit
At 120 kph this asshole was doing 75 in more than likely a 35 to 40 zone based on the traffic lights. Exhibit 1 for the defense of the driver for FedEx was going to be this fuckheads own dash dashcam and ECM readout for the accident.
highclassfire@reddit
This asshole is clearly going at least double the speed limit and blew through that intersection instead of stopping for the red
Beautiful-Slice166@reddit
Why did he just fucking cheer at the end, my guy you should have shit your stupid ass pants
Public_Particular464@reddit
I work for express and our trucks don’t go over 64 mph so idk about 120. He shouldn’t be driving that fast anyway your delivering packages it’s not that serious I’m not dieing for anyone
Pushfastr@reddit
Nah, I can't blame the truck for that. Driver crossed the red light, and I'd be surprised if that's the speed limit
I have an intersection right beside me that is a 40 zone, and people fly across it at 60. I'm lucky in good at reading others' speed. You can only see 200 meters in all directions. If traffic is going 60, you won't make it across without them basically driving into you.
iseethoughtcops@reddit
Driver of red truck absolute thundercunt 100%.
Ill-Income-2567@reddit
The speed he's driving at is not safe. It's not a race track. You need to take into account there could be trucks like this turning at any time.
MEMExplorer@reddit
This is the cam car’s “fault” for driving way too damn fast . Slow TF down it ain’t that serious dood
OGbigfoot@reddit
Dude was going way too fast. Take it to the track bro.
jonsalas@reddit
If the guy weren’t flooring it to make the first yellow light, which he didn’t, he wouldn’t have had that problem. This is why I get so absolutely pissed at people who are in such a rush. 70 mph limit? That means I can do 100. Yes, you can, until something like this happens and maybe you don’t have the reaction time you think you do. I’ve seen too many people die on roads doing stupid stuff like this. It makes my blood boil.
CovertProphet84@reddit
Exactly
UniDiablo@reddit
That's likely a 40mph max zone given all the residential buildings nearby and the car is going at least 60, maybe more. That truck would've had time had this car gone the speed limit.
ThatOneHelldiver@reddit
Driving too fast is the issue here. Not FedEx.
WindyHasStormyEyes@reddit
Saw an accident from this same scenario happen outside my work. Speeding car, running light, tractor trailer making left turn. Went under the trailer, killed both occupants of the car.
EmbarrassedOlive2649@reddit
They were speeding, had they been going the speed limit that wouldn’t have happened. FedEx did nothing wrong
David040200@reddit
Yaaaa this isn't the FedEx driver's fault at all.
Outlaw11091@reddit
Didn't watch the same video.
What I saw was a car RACING to a point where a truck was already turning.
Blew through a stoplight.
Cammer should absolutely submit this video to the local authorities to collect prize, though.
Rubes2525@reddit
People who huff the book of right-of-way laws and ask "what's defensive driving?" are truly something else. Sure, one can argue that the truck did cut him off, but that's ignoring the obvious fact that the guy was driving extremely recklessly and blew through a red light.
And honestly, when you are driving a truck, you have to weigh some decisions to nudge your way in front of people otherwise you'd never be able to make a left turn or be able to get anywhere, ever.
Outlaw11091@reddit
Oh, absolutely, and if I were in that spot, I might have seen the guy speeding from far enough away to think it wasn't a safe turn.
But "might" is doing a LOT of heavy lifting there. I also might have seen the red stoplight and assumed I was clear because of no side-traffic on the intersection.
I also might have had a stroke at that precise moment. I can't entertain every possible outcome.
The truck was already turning when we see him, so, there's no real argument, IMO, that the driver "cut" anyone off.
shafteeco@reddit
Brakes aren’t applying equal force on all 4 wheels. Maintenance issue. Homie acting like he’s a good driver when his brakes are on their way out. He had enough space for a normal vehicle to stop even at 80mph

It's a shame the cammer didn't underride that trailer. Now his dumb ass will live to see another day, which means another life is at risk.
MRSHELBYPLZ@reddit
I understand you, I really do…. but the trucker driver doesn’t deserve to see the insides of a human body and be scarred for life.
Rubes2525@reddit
Some drivers are built different though. Some of my coworkers saw a picture of a motorcyclist cut in half in a local tunnel after going 100+mph. They thought it was amusing. Sometimes, after many years of driving, your sympathy for these asshole drivers is completely drained, and don't mind if they got turned inside out. It's more of a shame for people who need donated organs, if the body is badly damaged enough.
WolfOfPort@reddit
I fucking hate drivers like this I’ll pull out of low visibility street in my car and some teen will be ripping and lay horn on me even tho they had more than enough time to slow down a bit and just let me out without problems

Conscious_Grass_853@reddit
Why isnt this maniac in NASCAR?
Jackal4550@reddit
Not a trucker
I'm a U.S. Police Officer. If this was traffic crash the car is getting the tickets.
That truck, without a doubt, already established that he was in that lan turning.
If that driver showed me his dash footage, it would just make for the worst ticket.
mrockracing@reddit
Should FedEx have turned? No.
Should this guy be going that fast through there? No.
Speed is fine in the right places at the right times, in all fairness. On a street like the one seen here, there is no right time, do it somewhere else. There is nowhere to go if things go wrong. There are far too many people and pieces of property at risk in this area. And the big one, is that there are several intersections in quick succession, massively increasing the chances that something unpredictable or wrong will occur.
Speed kills isn't a saying for no reason, but I think people misinterpret what it means. This a perfect example of exactly how and when speed kills right here.
Roallin1@reddit
Looks close to 100 MPH to me.
SceneSensitive3066@reddit
I think it’s funny people will pull out in their big ass truck and be like “he shouldn’t have been speeding or he wouldn’t have died” or maybe use your fucking eyes and wait til there’s no cars coming, regardless of speeding or not.
One time I was in the right lane ready to make a right in a mile or so. A big truck like this but UPS pulled from the left side of the street and into the very right lane I was in. I think it was 3 lanes one way and he has to get in my lane going maybe 20mph. So I went around him on the left side and got in front and made my right. I was no where near him, I didn’t cut him off, in fact he could have killed me. I wasn’t speeding but he was very unpredictable. Then he chased me to the gas station and found me inside telling me I drive like a dumbass and I’m going to get myself killed one day asking me if I always drive like that. In the moment I was baffled this dumbass semi truck almost killed me and is blaming me for it. I wish I was thinking more clearly cause I would have told him how bad he is a driving and I did nothing wrong.
Wu-Tang_Panda@reddit
Yea looks like he was speeding a bit and no attempt to slow down. On the other hand as truck drivers we're supposed to gauge these kinda things and still end up in the wrong. It's unfortunate we have to drive for people in cars but that's how the job is. Maybe DMV should start issuing some type of common sense driving test in order to get a license.
Dead_Namer@reddit
Whatever speed they were doing, it is ridiculous with crossing traffic.
Meltedwhisky@reddit
Dude comes up on that cross walk in about 1 second. That’s about 68-70mph. He obviously going way too fast for the road and he’s lucky he’s not under the semi or hit one head on.

Scared-Consequence27@reddit
That fedex truck was legally fine. With no traffic in site he had control of the intersection. The car can see the truck, is speeding, and doesn’t slow down. You can’t hit someone in an intersection that would have been reasonably safe but isn’t because you’re speeding/wont slow down and blame them.
whitecollarpizzaman@reddit
120 KPH would be about 70-75 mph, still way too fast for a road like this.
ShakeAgile@reddit
Cammer starts by blasting though yellow lights that turn red on him mid-intersection. You can be pretty sure that was some stupid speed there.
KajaIsForeverAlone@reddit
why is the driver speeding so damn fast
offsetbackingtoright@reddit
"FedEx crosses in front of oncoming traffic"
Well I guess you could say every crossing is in front of oncoming traffic, its just a matter of distance.
You're not supposed to cross in front of oncoming LEGAL traffic and impede traffic flow. Why are you trying to elevate the rights of those engaging in criminal activity and strip rights from the law abiding ? because you want to invert everything to cause society to fail. Fed Ex has a right to turn and some jackhole trying to reach lightspeed does not strip them of that right no matter how much you want to make it so.
Taking the fed Ex driver off the roads WILL NOT make them safer.
Taking the GTA dashcam driver off the roads WILL make them safer.
End of story.
firemarshalbill316@reddit

offsetbackingtoright@reddit
Fed Ex did nothing wrong. Cammer is like 1/4 mile away when he starts his turn and there is no way to judge speed of an oncoming vehicle at that distance, stop trying to blame shift and hold Fed Ex responsible for the cammer's reckless driving and speeding. The cammer could see Fed Ex, right ? Why no attempt to brake at all ?
Fed Ex did nothing wrong.
Valac_@reddit
Fedex is an idiot The other truck is also an idiot.

Fed Ex Hired a Swift Driver. But, the Fed Ex Doubles should of Waited, And the dash cam vehicle was moving to fast. I don't think they could stop no matter what.
MRSHELBYPLZ@reddit
You have serious mental issues for even trying to blame the truck for that.
The dash cam ran a red light at 75 mph at a road where the speed limit is probably 45
Mikect87@reddit

Nearby-Border-5899@reddit
Yeah the camera driver had plenty of time to see him turning. He was either going way too fast or didnt pay attention.
AThousandBloodhounds@reddit

CapitanObvio0084@reddit
There is a reason speed limits exist no way that truck can see a car going that fast when he started that turn into the intersection. Two factors that nobody other than a driver takes into consideration when watching this video the weight of the trailers and the fact that these tractors are automatic you floor it and let the transmission due what it do. Speeding drivers always believes it’s everybody else’s fault.
Kevo_xx@reddit
4 wheeler is a piece of shit but those FedEx triples-doubles drivers are also some of the biggest assholes on the road. I’m constantly getting cut off by them and seeing them blow past me on the highway going like 80 mph.

Even if that's in kilometers per hour that's still 75 miles per hour. I bet that road is probably 80-85 km an hour max.

The issue with these morons are they buy a used car, they try to impress people who often are trying to do their jobs, get to work, or get from a to b and don't have the courage to go to a race track because they are too broke to afford it and the insurance and the equipment and most likely would wreck their car there.
These are not boys or men, these people are degenerates raised by useless parents and have friends who are equally as stupid.
