Dang it...I have a Motorola now that I really like and I'm hooked on that physical fingerprint reader. So much more accurate and responsive than the optical ones. Unless the technology has improved drastically in the few years since I last had to deal with it.
A slower charging speed is actually a plus for me, should make the battery last longer.
Will have to keep an eye on this, it's getting to be about time for a phone upgrade and I always try to target mid-range phones. MicroSD card is non negotiable. Ugh no 3.5 mm headphone jack I might be out. My car doesn't have bluetooth just the aux port.
I had the 2020 version, if it still has the motorola shortcuts (shake for camera/flashlight) then I'll also look into this. The sylus was also nice when I had to sign something on my phone.
These Motorola phones are confusing because they randomly drop features. The edge 2024 supported USB video out, but this one doesn't. What does 60 even mean?
Why does mediatek keep digging in the junk drawer for their low and midrange designs? Is licensing on older cores substantially cheaper? After a while all the refreshes of the same CPU cores and GPUs under a new part number start to feel a little disingenuous but hey, the x86 world ain't exactly any different.

What country are you in? In the US Motorola has the Moto G Stylus (2025) that just came out, has both a microsd card slot + headphone jack.

I'm in the US thanks for the recommendation I'll check it out !

60 is the generation, edge is their midrange, 2023 didn't have video out either. You're better off getting a 2024 edge plus anyways.

I just bought the motorola edge 2024 for $289, it was really confusing shopping with them because of their naming scheme and feature support.
They have a list of which phones support video out (I use AR glasses) and the list is an incomprehensible mess

seems like it, lots of devices still sporting the a78
Asgard033@reddit
Probably, yeah. I don't really see any other big reason why A76 & A78 are still so common
