A Star Wars movie where it's just a normal movie that happens to take place in the Star Wars universe

What's Boba Fett's favorite rom-com? How about we find out what it is and make that a watchable movie?
I wonder if the Galactic Empire has ever funded the production of a patrotic action movie about heroic stormtroopers fighting against the savage wookiees? Let's make it happen

Isn't that pretty much what Rogue One was?
GoatsWithWigs@reddit (OP)
No, Rogue One was about irl stuff in Star Wars. I'm talking about fiction movies made by in-universe Stat Wars studios
EmpireStrikes1st@reddit
You're describing half of the new Disney Star Wars shows.
GoatsWithWigs@reddit (OP)
No, not movies about what Star Wars characters would call "irl." I'm talking about if Star Wars had their own in-universe version of shit like "The Purge" or "Die Hard"

So E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)?
GoatsWithWigs@reddit (OP)
No, that movie took place on Earth

Jarjar Binks but it's just Married With Childeren. 🤪

I wanna watch a parody of Top Gear where three funny guys test out and review Star Wars vehicles

More or less the reason I liked the Mandalorian - a western that happened to be in the Star Wars world
But this is taking it to a whole new level and I’m here for it

What if Lone Wolf & Cub, but in space.

Law & Order: Coruscant

Watch Andor
P1zzaman@reddit
A live action adaptation of Porgl and Porgi, a popular cartoon about a hyper intelligent Porg and dumb Porg duo from 20 galactic years ago.
The movie fails and is considered a galactic box office fail.

A Jedi in the Ag Corp. No violence or fate of the world stuff of any kind in the show.

A Jedi in the Ag Corp. Literally no violence of any kind in the show.

I wanna take an edible and watch the full bubble opera from Revenge of the Sith.

Ghostbusters, but it’s a Jedi ghost in a corner of the galaxy where they don’t really know about Jedi.

This isn't too far from blade runner which is basically a detective story/manhunt that takes place in a futuristic society. The flying cars and androids are cool but, other than the androids, the plot would be identical if it was set in the present day. I'm not going to undersell the importance of the androids to the plot, but I do like this type of science fiction that is more character and story driven.
