Recommendations for an LA-area airport for a GA aircraft, arriving ~midnight?

We're flying a C-150 commuter in. I was looking at KSMO, but I'm concerned about the noise restrictions. We're hoping to land somewhere (that's open!) with a cheap(ish) hotel/food walking distance from the airport. Does anyone have any recommendations? It's just a time-building flight, so anywhere works. Thanks for any recs

KSMO does not restrict landing after 11 PM. They only restrict taking off. They do ask for voluntary compliance with not landing after 11 PM. My recommendation would be that you try to land earlier as unless your 150 is IFR youre likely going to battle the marine layer at any of the coastal airport. If you insist on late night operations in socal and dont want to cause any noise problems my recommendation would be John Wayne.

Regarding John Wayne 1. Check the NOTAMS. SNA has been closing overnight for taxiway/runway work. 2. Even if it's open you might have a tough time getting off airport grounds after 11 pm. Both ACI and Clay Lacey close at 11 pm. Looking to land a 150 after midnight in SoCal? I'd look at KFUL.

Kcpm or ktoa are good. You’re not going to trip the noise sensors at ktoa with a Cessna 150 no way.

Given your restrictions (IFR) and desires (nearby facilities) I actually think BUR might be your best bet. Tower is open 24 hours and it will be completely dead at that hour. There are quite a few hotels nearby and lots of really good restaurants (dont miss Porto's Bakery). Gas is kinda expensive, but it is expensive at SMO too. The airport is impossible to miss and you'll be getting Class C services the whole way. It is also close to a lot of cool areas to hang out.

KCCB is inland from LA. Certainly cheaper and a quick Uber to Claremont with a cool little college town good food and a couple good hotels for much less than LA.

Probably LGB, I'm pretty sure the Signature FBO will have someone there 24/7 and I don't think they charge you a callout fee or anything. Call to confirm. Otherwise, you can land untowered at KCPM and catch a sketchy Uber out of Compton. STRAIGHT OUTTTA COMPTON.
