The title is misleading, correct title is: Foreign diplomats are guided to safe place by Israeli unprovoked welcoming salute shots while on dangerous West Bank visit. yours sincerely Hasbara squad
BlackAfroUchiha@reddit
Don't forget Hamas was hiding in their suits.
BallisticFiber@reddit
I am totally positive there was a Hamas leader hiding in one of suitcases diplomats were carrying with em. This wss all verified and confirmed by satellites

This is the story of Swedish diplomat Folke Bernadotte:
Folke Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg (2 January 1895 – 17 September 1948) was a Swedish nobleman and diplomat. In World War II, he negotiated the release of about 450 Danish Jews and 30,550 non-Jewish prisoners of many nations from the Nazi German Theresienstadt concentration camp.
On May 14, 1948 – the day that Israel declared its independence – the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 186, which established the United Nations Mediator in Palestine with the responsibility to “promote a peaceful adjustment of the future situation in Palestine.” Six days later, Foke Bernadotte was unanimously chosen to be the United Nations Security Council mediator in the Arab–Israeli conflict of 1947–1948.
He was assassinated in Jerusalem on September 17, 1948 while seated in the last car of a three-car convoy flying the UN flag that was on route to Jerusalem. He was murdered by Yehuda Cohen, who was a leader of the paramilitary Zionist group Lehi (aka Stern Gang). Yehuda Cohen was also the unofficial body guard of the first prime minister of Israel, David Grün (aka David Ben Gurion).
The following day, LEHI (aka Stern Gang and predecessor of the IDF) sent a letter to the press stating that:
“In our opinion all United Nations observers are members of foreign occupation forces, which have no right to be on our territory.”
Folke Bernadotte was seen by the Provisional government of Israel (lead by David Grün) as a danger to the ambitions of the Zionists to establish a state on both sides of the Jordan river.
Although the identity of the murderers remained unclear for the broad public, it soon became obvious that LEHI was responsible. For UK and Swedish intelligences services (and higher ups in the diplomatic corps) it was an open secret that Cohen was behind the killing.
Salient detail:
When Swedish economist and diplomat Dag Hammarskjöld, the then second secretary-general of the United Nations, travelled to Israel in 1958 in the role of a mediator in the Suez crisis between David Ben-Gurion and Gamal Abdel Nasser, and visited Ben-Gurion at his Negev home.
Ben-Gurion’s decision to seat Cohen at the diner table —a man implicated in the murder of a Folke Bernadotte —next to Hammarskjöld was not only perceived as a deliberate affront by the UN secretary, it was also an open threat to the latter, which was well understood and clearly acknowledged when Hammarskjöld loudly stated: “I will never come here again.”.

Rishi Sunak stayed in the exact same hotel that Israeli terrorists bombed back in 1946 that killed a bunch of British officers.
“Cuck” would be too mild a term to describe Western attitudes towards Israel.
Consistent_Drink2171@reddit
Bombing occupation forces isn't terrorism.
notehp@reddit
Lehi and Irgun called themselves terrorists. So the description fits regardless.
pimmen89@reddit
I think I’ll honor my two fallen countrymen by calling Ben-Gurion ”jävla snedknullat fittnylle”.
NotStompy@reddit
I, a fellow Swede, concur!

Thank you for you service.

Only condemn when it's whities being killed. Palestinians? Well, it's complicated, let's not rush.

How to speedrun losing all international goodwill and alliance in like 18 months....
It looks like Israel will lose all of its allies (even the US) soon because of their stupidity and aggressive behaviors.
Hatch778@reddit
With trump in office they really don't care The religious right in America believe that Israel belongs to the Jews and if you don't support Israel according to scripture your commiting a sin. This is at least 30% not even including those who would support Israel for practical reasons. Why would other countries abandon us for supporting Israel when those same countries have no problem with us supporting causes with even less moral cause.
3nterShift@reddit
There is no practical reason to support Israel They are out of control and belligerent. Spitting on the hand that feeds them the jets and bombs they level their neighbors with.
Hatch778@reddit
I mean the only people they are bombing is Hamas and before that Hezbollah. Both of those Iranian proxies who we are also against. If we stopped supporting them we lose an ally and gain practically nothing. We were never going to have a good relationship with the Iran axis anyways. Meanwhile our other middle eastern allies seem willing to continue to work with us despite Israel's actions.
3nterShift@reddit
If you stopped supporting them you'd stop being dragged into conflicts. I mean I'm not saying the middle east is widely peaceful or anything and Israel was literally begging the US to coordinate air strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities a few weeks back. They are literally the most bloodthristy nation state in the region.
Also I find it funny and a bit saddening you subscribe to propaganda from the most immoral army with documented open hostility towards journalism and diplomacy. The UN estimates the Palestinian death toll to be above 53 000, over half of which are women and children. Are those all Hamas insurgents? I don't think you're that stupid to believe that. But hey, you're either dumb or evil, par for the course for a country that elected moral decay into public office.
Hatch778@reddit
I mean the money we give to Israel is really not that significant compared to what we spend on our military already or our total budget. We haven't really been dragged into any conflicts by them up to this point, mainly just supplied them with weapons with which they struck mutual enemies. Calling them the most immoral army is a bit much don't you think? Are they really less moral then Russia, China, or Iran. I mean we are allies with countries all over who have far less freedom of the press then Israel, it would be a bit ridiculous to view that as a deal breaker. They seem to be perfectly fine with diplomacy towards their neighbors not aligned with Iran. Yes the death toll is tragic, and I'm sure many civilians died too, bombing a dense urban area will cause that. I think Israel winning is best for everyone compared to Hamas or Hezbollah if you think that makes me evil or stupid so be it.
3nterShift@reddit
>Are they really less moral then Russia, China, or Iran.
Yes. And that's coming from an Eastern European from a country with history of Russian oppression and the looming threat of invasion and destabilization by Putin. Other armies don't hold their enemies in such casual contempt that they film gender reveal demolitions or tiktoks mocking children for not having access to food. They don't storm prisons where soldiers who committed abhorrent warcrimes such as raping civilian prisoners of war. Nobody else has this level of vitriol and entitlement. Russia does war crimes but is not THIS indignant and entitled about it. Israel isn't even in a symmetrical war, they're literally shooting fish in a barrel and crying about it when people call them out on war crimes. They want their cake (both physical and cultural genocide of Palestinians) and eat it too (unlimited political, military and financial support of western allies with zero condemnation or sympathy towards towards Palestinian civilians).
The fact that this is your second reply and you still haven't been able to call the victims anything but Hamas or Hezbollah tells me everything I have to know about what a thirsty warmongering and sheep-brained military industrial complex cuck you are.
junjigoro@reddit
They have and continue to overplay their hand. When the dust settles, the blowback will be significant.
BufferUnderpants@reddit
As long as the US has the power to strong-arm even other Great Powers into collaborating with Israel, it will still be viable for Israel to act the way it does.
AIPAC-funded politicians are gleefully picking away at the US’ economy, institutions and diplomatic ties, but it’d take more than a decade of decline to make the US’ threats hollow.
Syrairc@reddit
They've been doing it for 77 years, not much of a speed run.
littlesteelo@reddit
They don’t actually care about international perception and you can tell in the statements made by all of their politicians. Under it all they have a baseline, religiously driven belief that it is their god given right to do this and if they don’t, it means their certain destruction.
Even if the US abandons them, they will “go it alone” and blame being a pariah state on antisemitism.
ScootieJr@reddit
Yeah, go figure Israel will divert the blame. The only way to hold them accountable is to incriminate their actions and go after them specifically.
Brummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm@reddit
Kallas cannot be more ridiculous. This is getting into malicious territory.
Israel is in Ocuppied Territory expelling Palestinians and demolishing their houses. Diplomats go there and Israel has the gaul to tell them in not-their-land where they can go and apparently when they step out of the zone of interest (because diplomats could actually not see the crime in the authorized path), shoot. And Kallas asks the criminals to investigate themselves. Should we apply this in our societies?
How do we end up having such representatives? Who is this Kallas? Who is this coward, this incompetent? Put AI already taking care of tasks that apparently do not need human intervention.
AmarantaRWS@reddit
The scale of the trials that will be needed if these psychopaths are ever held accountable will be quite unprecedented. Holding only the leaders accountable is insufficient when so many of the front-lines level people are so actively and gleefully participating in this. The IDF is a terrorist organization and Israel is a terrorist state.
blueteamk087@reddit
Pariah state. embargo the country. Kick it out of every international athletic organization. Total arms and non-essential trade embargo.
NotGalenNorAnsel@reddit
And isolate them financially too.
blueteamk087@reddit
At the BARE MINIMUM, Israel needs to be treated like Apartheid South Africa.
