It erupted in 1998 and 2011. It's a shield volcano. They are characterized by effusive eruptions, where fluid lava flows out of the volcano, rather than explosive eruptions that send ash and debris into the air.

After reading the article it doesn’t sound like it would be a disaster of any sort. We know it erupted in 1998, 2011, and 2015 and I don’t recall it affecting anything on land. It’s not even the explosive type of volcano. I’m putting this in the “nothing to worry about” pile.
