So i have a RTX 3060 12gb and i m looking to upgrade for better performance mostly for helldivers 2 and i cant decide which GPU to go with i can buy the RTX 5060 ti 16gb for 460 Euros and the RTX 5070 12gb for 580 EUROS and i dont know which is worth the money, i m just scared for the 12gb vram that the 5070 has, i have thought of the 9070 xt but in my country it goes close to 770 - 800 EUROS which is way above my budget of 600. Thank you in advance for your help ( edit i want it also for gta 6 for the future )

I'm stuck in a same situation , 5070 has clearly more fps , it's the vram that is bothering me , can you update me what you decided ?

So I made the shot and bought the rtx 5070 and it has been amazing for the games I play (helldivers, battlefield, god of war Ragnarok, GTA 5 with RTX.. and other games) from which GPU are you going to upgrade from???
HumTumAurGaming@reddit
Well actually it's my first pc build , I was using a laptop with gtx1650 lol

In my country the rtx 5070 was the cheapest of the 4 I had in mind like the rtx 5070/ ti or rx 9070/xand they were out of my budget by a lot like 200+euros exrta, so for you I would say its a huge upgrade. What are the specs you are looking for??
HumTumAurGaming@reddit
I7 14700k 2tb nvme 4 wd 32 GB DDR5 6000mhz 80+ 850watt gold 250 mm liquid cooler ~
Stranger14d@reddit (OP)
Looks great to me what are the prices of GPUs there and your budget for a gpu??
HumTumAurGaming@reddit
I'm getting the 5070 for around 672 euros , I had 2000 euros budget all together along with a monitor , I was just confused seeing all the mess on the internet regarding my choice but seems like I'm sure I'll go for the 5070
Stranger14d@reddit (OP)
Now that's a different price, I got my 5070 for 586 euros

I was a low settings gamplay kinda guy, I needed one for after effects editing and some gaming valorant , rdr 2 , Spiderman 2 ,
GoodAltruistic4134@reddit
5070 bro

I'm waiting for 9060xt. If it's really a 350 usd card, it's a no brainer for me. Otherwise the 5070 for 550 is good option. I don't think the next console generation will have a gpu with more than 12gb of vram.
unabletocomput3@reddit
There’s roughly a 20-25% performance deficit going from the 5060ti to 5070- in fact the 5060ti falls behind the 3080 and 4070.
If you mainly play at 1080-1440p high settings, the 5070 makes more sense.
That being said, how are 9070 non xt pricings? It’s faster than both and has 16gb of vram.
Stranger14d@reddit (OP)
The pricing for the 9070 non xt It goes between 670-700 I play at 1440p
Reggitor360@reddit
Might as well buy a used RX7900XT tbh.
unabletocomput3@reddit
Actually, yeah. Probably the best choice right now, if prices are good. More than enough vram, good performance, companies should be selling it first cheaper with it being old stock, and supposedly it should support fsr4 (or at least AMD is saying they’ll see if they can make it backwards compatible.
Due_Outside_1459@reddit
5060Ti 16GB will hold up better than the 5070 in the long run regarding resale. There will always be a market for that amongst entry-level and student AI developers who need the vram.
Kadeda_RPG@reddit
Wait for the 9600xt.
GARGEAN@reddit
Only if money are strictly an issue AND if we believe it will be anywhere near claimed MSRP. Otherwise it's slower than 5060Ti 16gb with worse featureset.
Stranger14d@reddit (OP)
budget not a real problem i can give easily 600 but i wouldn't like to give more than that
GARGEAN@reddit
Oh, for 600 you can easily go 5070, which is def better than any other discussed.
Asikes@reddit
We didn't have 3rd party reviews yet, so it's too early to say that
GARGEAN@reddit
Eh. They shown it being 6% faster than 5060Ti 8gb by picking VRAM-starved scenarios. Without those average will shift, and will shift A LOT (because those games are showing 40% faster performance on 9060XT, kek).
webs7er@reddit
Can you stretch your budget to a 9070 (non-XT)?
If not, the RTX 5070 is the better option.
Wanna_make_cash@reddit
Get a 9060xt 16gb, it'll be similar performance to 5060ti 16 GB but an MSRP of $350 instead of MSRP of $429 (which means the real, inflated prices will likely be lower too).
Korra228@reddit
I dont think from 3060 to 5060 ti to would be significant upgrade. go for 9070/5070
kikomir@reddit
Unless you play at 4K resolution, it's basically the same FPS/EUR ratio. The 5070 will probably retain its resell value better and the 5060Ti will be obsolete before its VRAM becomes the deciding factor.
shaihulud95@reddit
It's better to go with 5070 for 1440p if you are using a 1080 5060ti should be good to go.
Stranger14d@reddit (OP)
Yeah I forgot to mention I play at 1440p
shaihulud95@reddit
5070 way faster so it's much better performance compared to 5060ti in 1440p
Hairy_Somewhere9970@reddit
I would recommend go for RTX 5060TI 16gb ( if you are on tight budget) or RX 7800XT 16gb
