"Yeah, the people of Florida would vote for other Democrats but for some reason didn't vote for me, a political candidate with negative charisma. Isn't that suspicious, United States Supreme Court?"
Now you’re just twisting my words. Voter ID has always been structurally racist. They aren’t smart enough because school systems failed them, the IDs are racist because they are used to keep black and marginalized voices out of the democratic system since they often don’t have the resources or knowledge on how to get them.
Personally I feel like if you can't even figure out how to get an ID it's probably better to not vote because you are definitely not going to be an informed voter.
By the way they KNOW how to get an ID, they just are too LAZY to get one. That's the problem. Anyone who wants an ID can get one, but it requires an hour or two of effort every 5 years or so which is too much for some people
You neglect to mention said candidate had a ton of undeclared, unexplained campaign funds with which to fund his sudden rise in popularity, despite literally no one knowing who he was a couple months prior.
Funds which, turns out, were provided by russian subsidiaries, which literally constitutes as foreign election interference.
Also literally every little thing he said during his campaign was actual schizo rambling and heavy pro-russian propaganda bullshit, if you ever listen to a word he says, he sounds like hes genuinely forgotten his meds.
But yeah just conveniently forget to mention those little details, lil russian shillbot.
They all do this. Even in America. Election finance laws are written to intentionally prevent grass roots popular candidates from actually succeeding. You either need enough power and influence to circumvent the law or have enough momentum to get through any legal scrutiny. Thinking these pro mass migration candidates aren't taking tons of illegitimate money just because there's no push to investigate them doesn't mean they aren't breaking the law.
This guy is not joking, he said stuff like you need to be on the Carpathian mountains so you can be closer to God when you pray, a woman having a c-section cuts off her link to God etc etc. He was genuinely fucking wacko, this isn't just your usual Trump clone.
So, power to the people until the people choose wrong, then thats manipulation and we gotta try again?
What does it even mean that they were manipulated? Millions of people went and put the stamp on whoever they liked, how is that bad because of tiktok? You can literally go vote by rolling a dice too. It's your choice who you vote and why.
People can vote however they want. Election candidates have to follow the rules of the election, and funnily enough getting a shitton of funding from a source you won’t disclose is against the rules.
I think this guy blocked me, I cannot leave comment under his lol
You cannot simplify complex, years long technological/political process to one sentence, everything will look silly then. If one country would made false flag attack on itself to manipulate their citizens on attacking another nation, and people would try to stop it, would you say "So, power to the people until the people choose wrong, then thats manipulation and we gotta try again?"?
No, power to the people always, to well informed people. No power to Russians manipulating other countries.
As to what does it mean - wikipedia, "Accusations of Russian interference in the 2024 Romanian presidential election"
That's literally false but people just have to parrot bullshit about situations they know nothing about. The candidate was excluded for breaking electoral campaign funding rules
I love it when another country alters their algorithm to promote a candidate that supports their case. Manipulation and misinformation don't exist. China and Russia don't want to conqure anything exept their neighbors
No, the justification was that the idiot declared $0 for his campaign, yet had a massive propaganda machine on tiktok and facebook, with tons of adds, bought influencers and an army of bots.
Yes they are, gladly we have democratic mechanisms that let us remove the popular candidate to piss off... Russia, which is well known for doing exactly the same. Whatever, keep winning reddit.
The Tories led the polls for the 2024 general election for the first two years after the 2019 general election, and you're using polling data from not even a year after the 2024 election to predict the outcome of the next general election (which won't necessarily be in 2029 - it just can't be any later than then)?
Also, the UK doesn't vote for their prime minister. They vote for their local MP, and the leader of the party that wins the most seats is nearly universally appointed Prime Minister (one of those weird British things where it's technically the monarch's decision and power, but if they did anything else it would be taken away).
Ok, you're taking this comment way too seriously. Of course I don't know for sure if Reform will be the ruling government of the UK in 4 years time. No-one does. It was more vibes focused than based on material data. But that Starmer's polling has shot so far down in less than a year after taking power, and that Reform gained more than 600 councillors, 10 councils and 2 mayors this month, it's not beyond the pale to suggest Reform are gunna have a good time at the next election (no idea why you went off on 2029 maybe not being the next election. It's literally the next expected one).
You don't need to explain the UK's first-past-the-post election system to me; I understand it more than enough. I don't know why you bothered.
I will be surprised if reform make it to the next election with the way their councillors keep resigning and mps quiting or being outted due to inter party politics
Pretty much. He talks about coke with nano chips, aliens, how religion is the most important part of society progression. Mistakes Valahia with Valhala and tells the romanian people that they should ascend to Valhala. And most romanians are like: "Wow da bravo boss da"
if you have any proof of the other candidate accepting funds from other countries and manipulating voters, please share, with us and romanian government
We don't have proof of the candidate who got banned accepting funds either thats the problem. It's all a bunch of weak suspicions and accusations.
The media could just spin it around to almost any candidate, and it would be almost as believable. What they found, allegedly, is groups of tik tok influencers who promote his campaign. Im pretty sure each candidate has groups which they receive support from, this election, the winner got direct support from officials from other countries (Donald tusk, Macron) and thats not considered foreign political interference?
Am I understanding it correctly that to get a candidate banned I just need to spin up a bot farm promoting his tiktoks? And without direct link or proof of involvement from said candidate he will be disqualified?
Again you are saying really big, important and hard things as "just". If I understand correctly, to be rich I just need to win a lottery? Yeah, but I wouldn't use "just" hah
You ask if you would use a lot of money to create bot network, to influence millions of voters to vote on basically unknown candidate that didn't reallly exist on political stage before, should that person be disqualified? Well, sounds like yeah, they probably should? At least investigation should be run to check connections between you. Context matters.
Now you answer me, so to establish a candidate in a foreign country that would benefit me, I can manipulate anybody I want, I can play commercials on TV, control milions of bots on tiktok, youtube, facebook, reddit, etc., even drop flyers of airplanes in every mayor city 3 times a day, as long that specific candidate is not paying me, so there is not paper trail coming from them to me? Well that sounds awesome.
Yes, yes you should because a democracy should be about who the people choose, not whom the government deems eligible to rule. Otherwise you just have a fixed system where the will of the people is suppressed, and instead you have a system that just feeds itself. Liberal democracy allowing only liberal democracy to run (with a sprinkle of centrism)
Like they haven't already? Lmao.
Thats exactly what American soft power has been for the past half century, and the only countries that escaped it, usually severely censored western influence.
If they’d accepted slush funds from any country they would have been disqualified for cheating also. It just so happens that it was almost certainly Russia.
Could you please send me some definite proof that this thing you say happened? Not just a headline which says, "X suspected of", a definitive finding which incriminates him.
Romanian intelligence found that money was illegally used to set up hundreds of tiktok accounts that backed him and the courts denied his appeal. If you want to see the evidence you can go find it yourself, it’s not my job to spoon feed you.
Also, I never said it was definitely Russia. They’re just by far the most likely candidates. I also said that what matters is that he broke the laws, who he received the money from in breaking those laws is interesting politically but not really relevant to why he was disqualified.
I am asking for you to spoon feed me because no, I can't find any evidence. I can only find suspicions and accusations, not hard evidence that would be grounds for their decisions. If everything you speak of is true and undeniable, doesn't that mean treason? Why isn't he in prison?
All they can prove is that the funds were not legitimately obtained (I.e he did not declare them). That’s not treason, that’s just cheating. It’s still enough to disqualify him.
If you’re waiting for hard and undeniable proof of foreign interference, then you’re naive. Never gonna happen. Absolute worst case scenario is someone in his campaign staff will be imprisoned over it, and even then there won’t be any hard evidence linking them to Russia, or anywhere else.
That’s just how it goes. Most foreign interference is never directly proven, because the countries orchestrating it aren’t stupid enough to leave an obvious paper trail. Same with how basically all the terrorist groups in the Middle East are being funded by one or another of those countries. You’ll never actually prove it, but everyone knows it’s true.
Americans won't understand this sentence because they elected a Russian plant and saw nothing wrong with it.
Sure is interesting exactly how hard swing states swung and how they all swung in a similar way. Is even more interesting how after the results he said "Elon knows a thing about voting machines."
If by correct you mean law abiding, yes lol. This one broke electoral legislation during his campaign, of course he was kicked out. Write your own narrative if it helps you sleep at night, doesn’t change the facts.
Good for you? Doesn’t change what I said. I’ve lived all over Europe and know that just as well as you do. I’ve been asked if I’m from the Roman Empire by Dutch people. Still only take 5 minutes and a chrome tab to fact check something
If you google canceled elections in Romania you will get all the answers. But i guess that's not the point isn't it?
Anyway, Romania won and all the propaganda campaigns have failed. We are now even more resilient than before, so Russian and shit ass nationalists can keep on pouring money & resources into anti Romania propaganda- we will continue to win regardless. Keep it up!
He cheated on the election system. Of course you cancel the elections when something interferes. Sunday was proof that Georgescu wouldn't have won... Romanians go to vote in mass only when they are on the edge. all presidential elections were the same, except the 90-2004 years. Also, the guy that lost on sunday is on the same level of stupidity and aberrations as georgescu..maybe not the same but very close. Yet these elections were approved knowing that the far right candidate would throw the country to russians and pose a real threat to the entire system. So shut the fuck about canceling the elections....
JD Vance was right when he spoke at Munich a few months:
"Yes you can think it's bad that Russia is trying to influence elections, we certainly believe so. But if the results of your elections can be changed by 500.000 dollars worth of social media advertising, you have a much bigger problem on hand."
I'm pretty sure leftists and rightoids are both equally unaware of how impacted their opinions are by MSM and social media.
Russian bots constantly yapping about gender and "defining a woman" is subversion because it keeps people focused on culture war nonsense instead of real problems.
I think we have bigger problems when truth and propaganda are indistinguishable for the average citizen due to a broke ass Slav shitposting with a Macbook.
So then why would we have a problem when propaganda and truth look the same? You yourself just defined good propaganda as an advertisement wrapped around TRUTH.
You literally don't disagree with me? My initial point was that propaganda isn't misinformation, it's selectively using the truth the push a narrative. We're saying the same thing, you're just arguing for the sake of arguing. Peak reddit.
Emphasizing information A while downplaying information B is propaganda
Why are you suddenly talking about every single US media platform? You know, the one that billions and billions of dollars are spent on every year to indoctrinate the docile little burgers
LMAOOOOOO the fucking shit the EU promotes daily and openly is "Russian propaganda." Commence estrogen injections immediately and never go on actual 4chan please.
That’s the best part, he condescendingly tells Europe they have a problem, and the U.S. has the same problem and is many steps away from even starting to fix it.
Everything is Targeted advertising. When you go to a shop and see something eye level rather than something on the lower shelf. Guess what? Targeted advertising.
No American had an opinion on tariffs prior to the election. They all decided if they were for or against them based on what their favorite politician said.
The American political landscape fell to the ashes that it is through the exact same method, it just took more money becuase America is the most powerful country in the world. The oligarch bots won, we all lost, and that includes you.
as if americans didnt vote trump despite the birds being blendered by windmills, migrants eating cats and dogs and that one poor fish who is not doing too well without water. people are and have always been regarded, and politicians highjacked their rotted brains to pour slop directly into their heads. yes, targeted social media advertisments funded my foreign countries can indeed change the results of elections.
Is this... new? Did we forget multinational corporations routinely spend millions to influence politics? Since when is money fucking up a democracy new lmao
But it wasn’t fucked up. They had electoral rules, he broke them, they found out and disqualified him. Isn’t that evidence that their democracy is working?
I do think we should support them still, especially because I like seeing Putin get humbled by the Unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainine people not to let his ass win, and I would rather they stay free
But I also believe that the USA being in every fucking pie has led to more harm then good (just look at the middle east)
We can't keep being the world police officer and can't keep being connected to everything
Especially cause the fact we are in so many pies is one of the many reasons people want America to die, because they see us as "imperialists"
Countries and megacorps only have China as an ally of convenience. Both sides only trust the other party as far as they can throw them, but the checks clear so they keep it going. For players with proper long term plans, it's just a bump in the road before things will snap back to normal once Trump is either out of office or Republicans lose their majorities.
Jack Ma used to be everywhere, but after “a talk” with the party, you can’t even find his shadow on the news. People that think foreign companies will rush happily into Chinese arms after seeing what they did to their own tier-1 citizen are delusional.
Europe hasn't had a right wing in a long time, you can vote left or left but slower. If America continues to prosper through his term, and the nations that reactively swung left continue to decline, it may wake people up and see a new party created.
>tries to comment on a political system he has never once read about or researched
>says there is two options in elections in European countries because only frame of reference is US 2 party system
>goes on X and tweets how he owned some eurolibs today sunglasses emoji
There has not been a left wing government in Europe wince the USSR collapsed in 1991. All European nations have had some form of capitalist(and therefore not left wing) government since then.
What are you smoking? Europe is full of neo-fascist and nationalist parties. The Overton window ranges from actual communism to actual fascism, with libertarianism, socdem, and evening in between. European parliaments are incredibly diverse, unlike the ideologically narrow American political scene.
the Australian right-wingers got annihilated early this month so hard their coalition split up yesterday for the first time since the 80s, the election itself was their worst result since their modern incarnation was first created in the 40s. It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
I think a lot of this is because many right-wing parties are trying to be trump-like without being trump. I'm from Canada, our conservative candidate Poilievre lost, I think, because he had no platform besides "other guy bad". Other guy was indeed bad so Poilievre was going to win, until someone with an actual platform showed up to run against him.
The Reform party did well in UK local elections, but this is because the Conservative vote collapsed basically. And it's just a local election after all, it doesn't decide anything important internationally.
The Far Right in Portugal made significant gains last weekend in their parliamentary elections, coming just a few thousands votes short of 2nd place and being a potential coalition party for the Centre Right party that came in first.
Also Right-wing and Far Right candidates got a majority of the vote in the first round of the Polish presidential elections.
They even admit there was no legitimate evidence of Russian interference.
https://www.bbc.com/articles/cqx41x3gn5zo
They tried this in 2016 with bad orange man, then concluded that any potential Russian interference was extremely limited and didnt actually impact the election in any meaningful way. Romania saw someone that wasn't pro illegal immigration and they stopped it. Then they ran the bullshit smear campaign long enough to get the right guy in and now we're left with "we'll, just because there wasnt any proof doesnt mean it didnt happen."
God, how i wish romania had remained obscure and off the radar on the world stage. Now I have to see internet opiniologists everywhere spewing their obviously politically charged "vibe-based" takes on the politics of a foreign country they barely know anything about (except for one youtube video from their favorite echo-chamber guru, 2 headlines, and maybe 3 tweets). These are the same people who couldn’t point to romania on a map a few years ago - and likely still can’t
If these dumbasses knew even half the shit I know about romanian politics, they would realize how fucking stupid their armchair opinions and conspiracies are. These people they're protecting aren't even conservatives in the normal sense of the word, they're some toe-sucking populist clowns masquerading as conservatives and spiritual gurus. They say that fucking Macron, Ursula or Soros personally personally rigged election, parroting the same braindead shit that Simion is pushing, with no idea about the Romanian electoral process, about the electoral protocols, about such things as voting station observers, the NGOs (local and intl), Parties and Institutions that are all coordinating to survey the results and monitor the vote count. This was probably the fairest and most rigid romanian election since 89 logistically, because a record number of volunteers signed up to monitor the voting and counting. I know this shit because I was one of them.
And if one of these regards is now gonna comment that I’m paid by Soros or some shit, I’m gonna lose it
fucking Macron, Ursula or Soros personally rigged the election
These idiotic takes are so clearly exactly the same in every Eastern EU country, you would have to be clinically braindead to not realize that these are just the flavor of the month villain personally chosen in the Kremlin.
It's also extremely obvious and pathetic that Kremlin candidates never go out to talk to any other candidate. Orban is notorious for this, so is Putin, and iirc Simion also did this now. These absolute cowards are then somehow considered brave and strong by the pro Russian media outlets.
It’s just Americans. I still get the occasional one lecturing me about how Australia sucks because we apparently forcibly imprisoned thousands of people during covid and we have no freedom because voting is mandatory.
As a Romanian I'm quite happy, we've never been a real democracy but people outside the country didn't know that, now everyone can see us what we really are, which is a failed state ran by mafia
Exactly, it's frustrating seeing all these idiots parrot their bullshit opinion formed by reading a few headlines and some reddit comments at best regarding a situation they know nothing about, but that's social media for you
i swear these regards are ragebaiting. youd have to tie them to a chair and force them to watch 2 hours of georgescu speeches. if they dont think he is schiziphrenic after that then perhaps they are schizophrenic as well
Right wingers when election tampering and undermining constitutional order with 25,000+ fake accounts to flood TikTok, 85,000 attempts on election systems via Telegram, along with the blatant failure to report all of his foreign campaign funding: "muhh democracy!"
Don’t they have real hobbies? I mean there is not a lot you can do on the shitter during your 9-5 but given 5 minutes I like to watch fashion videos and fishing and gun stuff rather than…brigade Reddit threads?
And then Reddit swarms with people and especially Hungarians saying that Hungarians saved Romania as if they don’t support the most nationalistic party in their country but the clear line here says that the other one was a bad candidate for Romania basically because it’s not their country but it has Hungarians in it. Some people can really be hypocritical at times.
Orban actually endorsed Simion because they're both swinging on Putins cock, even though Simion literally loathes Hungarians in Romania. Orban only cares about them when it's time to buy their votes to cheat in the elections
Election cancelling was really cringe but unironically it doesn't look like results were faked this time. It's just that simion started massively trolling and doing every action he possibly could to lose. won't get into much detail here, but for example one of the politicians that got 15% would have given those votes to him (which would be enough to win), but his party started shit talking that guy so he obviously didnt do it, stuff like that and not showing up to debates is why he lost.
sure man, russia is interfering in every single democracy in the planet, they cant interfere in moldova's elections, they can't win in ukraine, but they are the octopus with 20 hands puppeteering the entire world. Believeable.
Have you seen how much they spend yearly on propaganda? Moldova, for example, it took 30 years for the population to wake up and go "hmmm, we have russian tanks at our border and our neighbor just got invaded, maybe Russia isn't the good guy after all?" Obviously, there are still people who gladly eat up any sort of Russian disinformation, but a majority of the younger population, even old people, have finally "woken up"
Russia is a really large oil field with a kleptocracy sitting on top of it. They have so little to offer the world other than oil, belligerence and misinformation.
They can't even properly maintain their reputation as a powerful military. Maybe they should hint at launching nukes again for the 1,500th time in 3 years. I'm sure Ukraine will totally roll over for them this time.
I can't wait until the Chinese effs Russia over and reclaims pieces of Siberia.
Russia was a world power hundreds of years before you were born, and it will remain one long after you’re dead and forgotten. You can waste as much of your life as you want spreading diarrhea on internet message boards. It will not have the slightest effect on this.
Hahahahahaha. Russia wishes. The whole world thought Russia had the 2nd most formidable army in the world. Now they're only the 2nd most formidable army in Russia.
Yes. Russians are really good at misinformation. Have been since the cold war. It's cheap and asymmetrical, unlike invading Ukraine which is expensive in terms money and lives.
So quite believable, unless you're a total regard.
Yeah, he shat the bed lmao. Not being present at any debates besides the first one that you initiated and got shat on, fleeing country during said debates and insulting other country leaders doesn't look good during elections lol
Eurofa#s calling everyone a russian bot when they dont agree with them. Russia is nobodys friend but neither is the eu. It is a german, french and j€wish ruled empire. They are now trying to remove poland's vote and completely take over when they eventually do. The eu was a good idea when it stayed purely about free trade and ecomomical aspects. Now it is a leftist shitfest that will restrain any opposition and undermine the independence of countries they deem inferior.
Holy fucking shit can yall non-romanian retards shut the fuck up about our elections? You all have absolutely no fucking idea what is happening in this country and you're shilling here about some bullshit "democracy" like shut your trap already. We get it. You want the Iron Curtain back, and Eastern Europe should suffer because we are "inferior" to the "civilised" West
i know, so many f*ggots side with the non democratic so called pro eu r*tard that "won" the third presidential election and call it a democracy for whatever reason
like bro, how is romania still considered a democracy after all the mental gymnastics they need to do to say the dude who won the presidental election for on the THIRD fucking time is the ACTUAL democratic president, the rest were just bots and far right propagandists
the dude who won the presidental election for on the THIRD fucking time is the ACTUAL democratic president,
So, the Romanian voting system for president has 2 rounds of voting. The first round is with all candidates, and the second round is with the top two guys from the first round.
Now, onto the first one. Basically, one of the winners from the first election first round declared far less funds on his campaigning than what he actually spent, which is illegal. Also, said funds came from Russia, which makes it even worse.
Then the second election came around, one guy won the first round and a bunch of non voters saw it and were like "oh shit we can't have that". Almost 20% more people went out to vote on the second round compared to the first (53.21% of the eligible population voted in the first round compared to 64.72% in the second round).
Also, the gut who won the first round kept shooting himself in the foot over the last two weeks, which made some of his supporters switch sides.
Cope and seethe. Maybe if your Russian handlers were a little more careful with how they try to buy elections, your favorite Putin bootlicker would have won.
The French CIA (DGSE) had to get involved to "help" Romanian Macron win, because even after cancelling the elections and running propaganda non stop, he was still set to lose the elections in the second round.
Kind of impressive if you ask me. Sets the tone for how radical zoomers are becoming, how scared the ruling class is, and how fake democracy is.
I hate Russia and their election interference but this comment section is the most cringe Reddit brained thing I've seen in a while. I'm pretty sure this sub has been brigaded by individuals running on pure soy

A sign of a room temperature IQ is actually assuming everything you personally believe simply has to be a fact and thinking you're more informed over literal citizens of said country because you read a few headlines and reddit comments
The guy who won is more of a centrist then leftoid, like we have no left at all but the most "left leaning" candidate that won is socially conservative in things like lgbt/weed etc.
Because some of us don't usually both visiting the comments when the post is someone sharing their own post from 4chan, where the only joke is just a big standard racist comment, like half the posts here are these days.
redditors are colonizers by nature. they invade, infiltrate staff, then impose their rule.
these people also aren't original redditors. they're the users from tumblr. they left their original website and then started infiltrating staff all over the internet, imposing their POV and rules.
Is this your first time witnessing bots brigading?
this happens to literally every post that is not complaint with current things redditards support, gladly we're on 4chan sub and they supposed to drown after some time.
Cope and seethe russian cocksucker. Your shit tier propaganda doesn't even work in backwater countries like romania. You have ZERO chance to influence any other first world country. Your motherland will become a nuclear wasteland in your lifetime and we'll get to watch. Not that it will influence your living standards too much.
Me calling everyone bots when there is the slightest bit of dissent in the mostly left wing social media: ( people who don't agree with me don't exist)

As to what does it mean - wikipedia, "Accusations of Russian interference in the 2024 Romanian presidential election"
krafterinho@reddit
That's literally false but people just have to parrot bullshit about situations they know nothing about. The candidate was excluded for breaking electoral campaign funding rules

Very high chance the UK will vote Farage in 2029, so add us to the maybe list.
Throwaway74829947@reddit
The Tories led the polls for the 2024 general election for the first two years after the 2019 general election, and you're using polling data from not even a year after the 2024 election to predict the outcome of the next general election (which won't necessarily be in 2029 - it just can't be any later than then)?
Also, the UK doesn't vote for their prime minister. They vote for their local MP, and the leader of the party that wins the most seats is nearly universally appointed Prime Minister (one of those weird British things where it's technically the monarch's decision and power, but if they did anything else it would be taken away).
FullTimeHarlot@reddit
Downside190@reddit
I will be surprised if reform make it to the next election with the way their councillors keep resigning and mps quiting or being outted due to inter party politics

Sfinxul@reddit
Yup, they got duped by a tiktok campaign with bots and payed "influencers"
OneMoreName1@reddit
We both know that if it was the "correct" candidate who was winning due to tiktok nobody would have cared
AzKondor@reddit
if you have any proof of the other candidate accepting funds from other countries and manipulating voters, please share, with us and romanian government
OneMoreName1@reddit
AzKondor@reddit
OneMoreName1@reddit
Yes, yes you should because a democracy should be about who the people choose, not whom the government deems eligible to rule. Otherwise you just have a fixed system where the will of the people is suppressed, and instead you have a system that just feeds itself. Liberal democracy allowing only liberal democracy to run (with a sprinkle of centrism)
AzKondor@reddit
So USA with their billions of dollars should be able to install their puppets in every country in the world?
Everything needs checks and balances.
OneMoreName1@reddit
Like they haven't already? Lmao. Thats exactly what American soft power has been for the past half century, and the only countries that escaped it, usually severely censored western influence.
AzKondor@reddit
Exactly! No country should be able to do it, good for those countries, good for Romania too.
lesseva96@reddit
Dumb projection. The "correct" candidate would not have accepted Russian slush funds for their campaign.
OneMoreName1@reddit
Of course, its all an infantile fight of good vs evil in your mind is it not?
The side you like is the good guys, the other is the bad guys, simple.
19Alexastias@reddit
If they’d accepted slush funds from any country they would have been disqualified for cheating also. It just so happens that it was almost certainly Russia.
OneMoreName1@reddit
Could you please send me some definite proof that this thing you say happened? Not just a headline which says, "X suspected of", a definitive finding which incriminates him.
19Alexastias@reddit
Romanian intelligence found that money was illegally used to set up hundreds of tiktok accounts that backed him and the courts denied his appeal. If you want to see the evidence you can go find it yourself, it’s not my job to spoon feed you.
Also, I never said it was definitely Russia. They’re just by far the most likely candidates. I also said that what matters is that he broke the laws, who he received the money from in breaking those laws is interesting politically but not really relevant to why he was disqualified.
OneMoreName1@reddit
I am asking for you to spoon feed me because no, I can't find any evidence. I can only find suspicions and accusations, not hard evidence that would be grounds for their decisions. If everything you speak of is true and undeniable, doesn't that mean treason? Why isn't he in prison?
19Alexastias@reddit
Immatt55@reddit
Americans won't understand this sentence because they elected a Russian plant and saw nothing wrong with it.

I had similar feelings as a Hungarian when for some reason half the world started thinking that Orban is based
that_one_retard_2@reddit
And if one of these regards is now gonna comment that I’m paid by Soros or some shit, I’m gonna lose it
Istencsaszar@reddit
These idiotic takes are so clearly exactly the same in every Eastern EU country, you would have to be clinically braindead to not realize that these are just the flavor of the month villain personally chosen in the Kremlin.
It's also extremely obvious and pathetic that Kremlin candidates never go out to talk to any other candidate. Orban is notorious for this, so is Putin, and iirc Simion also did this now. These absolute cowards are then somehow considered brave and strong by the pro Russian media outlets.
Commence_forth_again@reddit
It's the classic "oh he's pro-russia, so hecking based and trad!!!"
19Alexastias@reddit
It’s just Americans. I still get the occasional one lecturing me about how Australia sucks because we apparently forcibly imprisoned thousands of people during covid and we have no freedom because voting is mandatory.
BasedBalkaner@reddit
As a Romanian I'm quite happy, we've never been a real democracy but people outside the country didn't know that, now everyone can see us what we really are, which is a failed state ran by mafia
krafterinho@reddit
Exactly, it's frustrating seeing all these idiots parrot their bullshit opinion formed by reading a few headlines and some reddit comments at best regarding a situation they know nothing about, but that's social media for you
Kotoy77@reddit
i swear these regards are ragebaiting. youd have to tie them to a chair and force them to watch 2 hours of georgescu speeches. if they dont think he is schiziphrenic after that then perhaps they are schizophrenic as well

Istencsaszar@reddit
Orban actually endorsed Simion because they're both swinging on Putins cock, even though Simion literally loathes Hungarians in Romania. Orban only cares about them when it's time to buy their votes to cheat in the elections
Experience_Material@reddit
I just see Hungarians as the Arabs of Europe
awesomemanswag@reddit
Lol good
Radurty@reddit

Commence_forth_again@reddit
Have you seen how much they spend yearly on propaganda? Moldova, for example, it took 30 years for the population to wake up and go "hmmm, we have russian tanks at our border and our neighbor just got invaded, maybe Russia isn't the good guy after all?" Obviously, there are still people who gladly eat up any sort of Russian disinformation, but a majority of the younger population, even old people, have finally "woken up"
Tz33ntch@reddit
They bought the US, so yeah, might as well try in smaller countries

It will not have the slightest effect on this.
isuxirl@reddit
Hahahahahaha. Russia wishes. The whole world thought Russia had the 2nd most formidable army in the world. Now they're only the 2nd most formidable army in Russia.
krafterinho@reddit
They pretty obviously tried, not succeeding doesn't mean otherwise
isuxirl@reddit
Yes. Russians are really good at misinformation. Have been since the cold war. It's cheap and asymmetrical, unlike invading Ukraine which is expensive in terms money and lives.
So quite believable, unless you're a total regard.
FapMcDab@reddit
they're trying, but luckily for us, they're way too fucking stupid and incompetent
Fiercepaws@reddit
Yeah, he shat the bed lmao. Not being present at any debates besides the first one that you initiated and got shat on, fleeing country during said debates and insulting other country leaders doesn't look good during elections lol

Avoiding debates was good cause he would have gotten beaten by a mild mannered manlet matematicianand that would make him look bad
But the other stuff he did unironically made me belive in the theory that he got cold feet
Fiercepaws@reddit
How about being a good enough candidate and proving it, hmm?

Eurofa#s calling everyone a russian bot when they dont agree with them. Russia is nobodys friend but neither is the eu. It is a german, french and j€wish ruled empire. They are now trying to remove poland's vote and completely take over when they eventually do. The eu was a good idea when it stayed purely about free trade and ecomomical aspects. Now it is a leftist shitfest that will restrain any opposition and undermine the independence of countries they deem inferior.
HappyCatPlays@reddit
Holy fucking shit can yall non-romanian retards shut the fuck up about our elections?
