In other words he lied in court?
Terrible-Piano-5437@reddit
Definitely no Russian ties.
Feral_Nerd_22@reddit
I haven't heard anything about his private Internet line (IMO is way worse than an email server)
add this, Dodge Russian backdoor access, and their eagerness to communicate outside of federal records act laws make everything seem super shady.
Sabre_One@reddit
Honestly the stupidest thing he has done so far. a country that has been attempting to hack us for decades doesn't magically ease up because we got a orange for president who wants to normalize relations.
Dramatic-Manager-290@reddit
I mean let's be real here, we deserve this shit for how much we've meddled in other governments
abdallha-smith@reddit
It’s not stupid, it’s intentional.
Muskanthiel sold USA to foreign interests.
Old_Fossil_MKE@reddit
A lot of individuals and organizations have and/or sold out the USA, and none of them are members of or affiliated with the Democratic Party.
Styl3Music@reddit
That's a tribalist and ignorant take. To prove my assessrtion, can you find a current federal rep who does not accept monetary lobbying from a pharmaceutical, data harvester, insurance, MIC, or foreign intell lobby?
Old_Fossil_MKE@reddit
Take your assumption and shove it up your ass, cretin.
abdallha-smith@reddit
Yes decentralisation to china for the example begun in the 80’s by small minded capitalist elites and it crushed the middle class by lowering the cost of labour.

Worth pointing out Rusdia was behind numerous attacks on Sharepoint and Signal as well.
Stormy8888@reddit
At this point everyone can conclude the Russians have bought and paid for some foxes to be in charge at "Intelligence."
AnOnlineHandle@reddit
Never attribute to stupidity what would be better explained by a very clear recurring pattern of malice from a particular group when it comes to Russia and sabotaging the US.
NewKyng420@reddit
And then the DOGE to Russian pipeline, while not monitoring Russia specifically, seems premeditated.

They have more in common with each other than us
Joe4uk1@reddit
This is something a person compromised would do.
Ornery_Ad_8803@reddit
Trump and his cronies are Russian assets. The sooner you recognize that, the more it all makes sense.
SpecialPotion@reddit
Being sold out to a failure of a nation like Russia is pretty sad
Biotic101@reddit
Oligarchs would love a Russian society in the US.

Until they "fall out a window" for saying the wrong thing or someone above them in the food chain decides they want your money.

Narcissistic people never believe they can face consequences

These fucking Repugs that think Putin is either benign or benevolent are truly delusional and dangerous. I guaran-fucking-tee nothing would thrill him more than paying back and dividing the US for our role in the dissolution of the USSR. His and Fox’s disinfo campaigns already have us as divided as we’ve been since the Civil War. Just another in their unprecedented assault on virtually every more, rule, law, institution and all things that we assumed were ‘givens’ like a potus that wouldn’t put personal bribes ahead of national security. Oligarchy and kleptocracy here we come.
agent_flounder@reddit
The real GOP leadership doesn't think Putin is benign. They're either compromised, or they want Putin's help to remake the US in Russia's image.
hellblazer565@reddit
This. They think their gonna be his little oligarchs here in new russia america where they can lord over us. Everything these people do is in the name of getting more power for themselves cause that is the only this they cherish and love.
Biotic101@reddit
Oligarchs are international and don't care about fellow citizens or country, only their own wealth and power.
That's the irony of the current situation. Alleged patriots helping traitors to dismantle their beloved country. Frustrated middle-class elected oligarchs to deliver the death blow to middle-class.
But actions speak louder than words. You can wave flags all day, if you don't respect the constitution and fight for freedom and democracy, you are a traitor.
Control over social and mainstream media is such a powerful tool that it can nudge the average Joe into acting against their own best interest.
Oligarchs have identified this as the weak spot of democracy and use it to their advantage. No surprise they think the average Joe is too dumb to hold any power in the system via democracy and they should rule with absolute power like kings over the wage slaves.

A lot of people aren't reading the article.
This is standard. It was for one day. The issue is he lied about it. Probably not really an issue though since
agent_flounder@reddit
Sweet baby Jesus this is insane.
Look, I do cybersecurity. I've been at this 25+ years. If you ever see "Advanced Persistent Threat" (APT) in the news, it means advanced hackers from countries like North Korea, Iran, Russia, China, etc.
APT groups are always out there hacking, trying to break into computers in the military, government, critical infrastructure, and anything else.
1999, Moonlight Maze -- US investigation of a 1996-1999 Russian cyberattack against NASA, the Pentagon, the US military, civilian academics and government agencies.
2008 malware infection of the United States Department of Defense, "worst breach of U.S. military computers in history"
2015 -- breached sensitive parts of White House. "among the most sophisticated attacks ever launched against U.S. government systems."
2016 -- release of hacked emails belonging to the Democratic National Committee and others
2018, the United States Computer Emergency Response Team alerted that Russian hackers were targeting small commercial facilities to gain remote control of energy sector networks collecting recon on Industrial Control Systems [the devices that control, or could break, critical infrastructure]
2020, Massive SolarWinds breach by the group APT29 or Cozy Bear. Breached top cybersecurity company and USG agencies including Treasury, Commerce, and Energy departments and the National Nuclear Security Administration
2021 "Sandworm" had been targeting US electric utilities, oil and gas, and other industrial firms since at least 2017 and breached companies a "handful" of times
2021, the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack
These are just the well known ones I sourced from a Wikipedia article.
TurtleRocket9@reddit
Russia tried to use DOGE usernames and passwords to access US systems. This is treason by Hegseth and should be treated as such.
Herban_Myth@reddit
Treasonous behavior?
Donlooking4@reddit
Another inept appointee who is clearly completely out of his depth and is truly a disgrace to the country!!!
boomrostad@reddit
It's not inept if it's intended.
