A restaurant for nostalgic adults that only serves foods normally served to little kids

I've traveled all over the world for business and if I never have to endure another dry steak, tasteless spaghetti or rubber chicken, I will die a happy man. I'd much rather have tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich or a PB & J sandwich with the crust cut off and a chocolate milk. Give me Kraft mac & cheese with sliced hotdogs instead of beef stroganoff any day of the week. For breakfast, a bowl of cereal with the cereal box placed in front of the bowl for easy reading would be perfection.
What other foods should we serve?

Don't forget fruit roll-ups. Any chance to get discontinued foods from my childhood? I miss my cherry squeezits, oreo cakesters and jello pudding pops.

You know they sell Oreo cakesters right?

Thank you.

I love that idea. I miss a snack called Cornquistos. They were like a rolled up Fritos corn chip with nacho cheese in the middle

Get a kids meal from McDonald's

I took my daughter to McDonalds for her first Happy meal. She enjoyed her cheeseburger and fries while playing with her little plastic toy. She looked me dead in the eye and said, "I guess I'm pretty happy."

Get a hot plate and foreman grill and make your own. What, are you 6?

Close, I'm 60

Find a single mom, tell her your struggle, offer to buy her groceries for the week if she’ll make you a meal. My mom would have loved if a stranger did this. Heck I love cooking but My mom’s grilled cheese is the best and I tell her that every time 😂

60, and your wife is not cooking for you? Find a work wife and tell her you are not being properly cared for. Better yet file for Divorce and find a new wife that CAN cook!
CoderJoe1@reddit (OP)
I'm on it!
Jazzydiva615@reddit
On it how? The work wife or Divorce?
CoderJoe1@reddit (OP)
yes

We both cook, so not always an issue

The Fujiya restaurant chain has “kid’s meal for adults” and I love it.

Order from the kids meal

My Grandpa only liked very 'basic' meals at restaurants and did this. He loved it when they came with a toy he could give me. I don't know if Red Lobster still does the "Treasure Chest" of toys for kids but he would always snatch a handful of the little toys from it (the server left it on the table for child (me) to dig through and pick one, back in that day) and pocket them to give me when we left. He was an awesome Grandpa.

I would also like us to serve discontinued lunch room foods or ones that still exist and adults just naturally do not eat anymore because they no longer eat school lunch. My request would be chili crispitos and stop sign pizza! And our school store had these delicious ice creams called Cookie Cones that were like drumsticks but had chocolate cone and cookies and cream ice cream inside 🤤

All of that sounds perfect

CoderJoe1 this idea is hopelessly flawed. Also please have mayonnaise sandwiches on the menu.
CoderJoe1@reddit (OP)
Of course. Will you be dining before or after naptime?

slightly unrelated but I miss Smorez cereal so fucking much 😭😭😭 it was the goat when I was a kid but they stopped making it. literally devastated

OMG, how did I forget about that one. You can't ever quite recreate it yourself.
