I’ve actually found this really nice wrap off temu but haven’t found anyone ballsy enough to buy it and use it. Glad I found this bc this looks great. They have a 50ft roll for $213.. might go and buy now 🤪
pic 3 was taken a year and a half ago, car sat in the sun since waiting on me to finish it. the fender that sat out still matches the color of the wrap I installed a few days ago.
A wrap with decent foil will last 5 years or so. Obviously it depends on climate and wear and tear, but after five years I’d personally peel it off and replace. I’ve battled an 8 year old wrap with cracked and dried out wrapping, and it was absolutely hell on earth. If I’d had a grain more of anger in me, I’d have told the retarded salesman, who promised the buyer we’d remove the wrap (against bossman’s instructions) that he’d have the pleasure of doing it himself. But no, I decided to be nice and do it for him.
I don't know for wraps, but for vinyl decals you can use a spray bottle of water with a couple drops of liquid dish soap. You spray the area, apply the decal, then squeegee the bubbles out. It gives you a few minutes to reposition, remove bubbles, or remove the decal before it dries. It doesn't affect the decals adhesive. I'm fairly sure it would work with a wrap, too.
Hey OP, can you give us a run down of the full cost, time, and any issues that you ran into? I think a lot of people have been interested in taking this route but are a little overwhelmed by it.

Do it. I installed the pass fender over a year ago, and it still looks great and is still color matched to the freshly installed wrap

Im actually shocked at how good that looks for what is it and what it cost. great solution!

Looks awesome. My only concern is longevity. How long do wraps normally last?

Never, ever again.

If it lasted 6 months it would still be a bargain. Just try a new color every few months!

I just want to ask how did you do that.. I seriously have issues with doing stuff like that (bubbles are my enemy)

Yeah, that's what tutorials say on YT. I have few windows to tint, so.. I'm looking for as many advices as possible

Neat, how do these wraps work? All the ones I could find were only like 50cm wide. Are you supposed to stretch them?

I'm looking at the first pic thinking, damn, for ruined paint, looks really good.
Then I scrolled. Lol. You're end results are really good. That paint was a mess before. It must be so nice to drive it now looking the way it does.
You said it was $150. How many meters/feet was that?
Frosty-Studio4561@reddit
Hey that's pretty awsome could you send a link to the wrap I def will give this a shot.
BitterBlues87@reddit
That turned out great. How long did it take to wrap?
