We have been migrating domain joined computers to entra. A small amount of users are reporting desktop icons blinking(flickering). Anyone ever see this?

I just ran into this issue after using Profwiz for an AzureAD to AzureAD profile migration. Already using the latest version of Profwiz. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting OneDrive account, still persists. Anyone find a fix other than a new user profile?

Usar administrador PWS, Deshabilitar UCPD
Y volver a reiniciar

I've tried everything I could and it turned out TPM was the culprit.
Follw the steps
Log out from all of MS related programs.
press win+r
type tpm.msc
Click "Clear TPM"
Reboot
Log in again on MS related programs
Leave the feed-back please.

Same issue. Just doing some test runs and I am seeing this issue and haven't figured it out yet.
- Explorer.exe seems to at least be tangentially related as it is showing increased CPU usage.
- Logging in with a local profile does not have this behavior.
- sfc /scannow doesn't help
- Turning off indexing doesn't seem to help

Actually solved the issue. After user profile recreated issue is resolved.

Can I know how do you approach on new user profile creation? The purpose of using ProfWiz is to preserve user data and configurations. If ProfWiz is causing the issue I need to know how do I set up new profile with the same data and config as an alternative.
Nizbawt@reddit
Yeah I'm trying to avoid a full profile wipe. Fresh profiles so far do not seem to be affected.

Pause or quit OneDrive and check if they're still flashing.
I don't know the fix but that's been the cause for some of mine.
ubyte@reddit
It inisitally resolved it but a reboot and it is doing it again.

For a customer, I used Profwiz to migrate the local session to an AD session, and my desktop icons flickered as if I were refreshing (F5). Any ideas?
serwer-z-kartofla@reddit
There's a new version of ProfWiz, re-run with it and the flickering is gone!

I've been migrating computers into a domain. i only have 120 and have about half done. I had a machine with blinking icons a week ago. I hadn't seen this problem up until now. Today i ran across a second machine doing the same. I also use Profwiz to migrate the local sessions to an AD sessions. I'm working through the troubleshooiting for this. I'm watching this thread and will chime in if i run across any solutions or ideas.
