I bought one used (very lightly) for 175 off here not too long ago, and I like it a lot, especially for that price. Seeing it on sale for this low didn't make me feel like I got screwed over...

Scams on GAFS are incredibly uncommon unless you pay a clear scammer account, or you pay an account that is REQUIRED to take G&S, with non-G&S and don't protect yourself.
If I took every scam I see over the course of a year, and sort by how many scams weren't OBVIOUS or due to a buyer not following our payment rules, I'd say maybe 1% wasn't obvious.
I'll clear up my "screw people over", because you're right. It's more that actual *deals* in gafs is pretty rare and get sniped quick. Usually you're pretty damn close to new with steep discounts. Like I bought an slx microprism on gafs for less than retail, then within a year simmons was selling for less than gafs pricing.
Gotta smash that F5 button homie, most of the good deals I've gotten were because I refreshed fast and caught it.

Yeah def - I don't feel like 175 was a bad deal tho, specially cause the lowest new sale I had seen at the time was 230. Either way, 180 for this isn't bad.
I'd get the Venom 1-6 instead, it usually pops up under $250 pretty regularly. In my opinion the glass is clearer and the eyebox is better than the Strike Eagle.
It was my first lpvo and I loved it. Traded it and then drank the pa slx kool aid and got one of them and was pissed. I much prefered the strike eagle. Matter of fact, this deal is kind of tempting but palmetto states deals normally get killed with tax and shipping.
really glad to see this post because I *fully* agree. primary arms makes some great optics but the SE is way clearer than the slx lvpo. I bought two of the slx lvpo units, they're going on my spare rifles
