It’s all gone quiet since completing the aptitude and motivational assessment last week. Have many started to hear back about teams interviews (or assessment days) yet? This is the longest I’ve had to wait for a response!
No_Performer_1034@reddit
I emailed the recruitment team for an update, they said on Monday 7th, that all applicants will receive a response from them for the flight path programme, no update on when to hear back but I do know that if need be they will push the assessment day back if they must.
GonzoK46@reddit
Well that’s good to hear, as currently in limbo and no idea if we need to reshuffle everything that’s booked in for my current job next week
No_Performer_1034@reddit
Same here, need enough notice to book time off which I hope they understand is the case for most involved. Just the waiting game now
GonzoK46@reddit
Did mine also on 27th June and heard nothing since, at 40 years old and in the position I am in for the place I currently work, I have a lot to re organise and shuffle should I get to the next stage next week
Character-Bus439@reddit
Same, did mine June 27th, still waiting for a response
Cautious-Spend6799@reddit
By knowing that some people is ahead of us and also the day is coming closer and closer, everyone is just slowly giving up. We just all sitting and hoping at this point.
Particular-Ad-6809@reddit
Has anyone been invited to the assessment day yet after completing AON’s and Motivational assessment?
scraigie1@reddit
Not yet. I'm hoping to hear soon as they're scheduled to start assessment days w/c 14th July!
DullApricot1470@reddit
I got my invite to the assessment day yesterday (Thursday) evening, having completed my face to face teams interview on Monday this week.
Then-Degree8144@reddit
Things that didn’t happen for £500
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
Just out of curiosity, why do you think they would be lying?
Then-Degree8144@reddit
I’m not sure why
But I’m also not sure why the recruitment team would deviate from the specified process to offer someone a Teams interview. The group assessments are due to kick off in 9 days time and I don’t see how they’d be able to conduct Teams interviews in that time and expect people to arrange to attend.
Of course I’m assuming these Teams interviews aren’t going on, maybe they are. But I’d have thought we’d have heard more mention of them here and on other forums.
For now, I’m calling bullshit.
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
Yeah, I actually thought the same at first but then I saw another comment about this on that PPRUNE forum too, only one though
Then-Degree8144@reddit
I just can’t see the benefit to a Teams interview given what has been done so far. Particularly the time involved to conduct them at short notice.
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
Then again, it does say ‘Motivational Assessments and Interviews’ on the guidance page (conducted 9th June to 11 July)
DullApricot1470@reddit
Not sure what basis the other poster has for calling ‘bullshit’ on me having an interview but I did, and I have had an email inviting me to the assessment day w/c 14th too. I had a one way video motivational interview, then the 2hrs pilot aptitude assessments then the two way teams interview. I have nothing to gain by lying I was just replying to a comment about interview updates to help others about the progress.
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
Hey, I think hats off to you. People just don’t wanna believe it because it makes them they haven’t got through to the next stage, including myself haha. Good luck at the assessment centre
DullApricot1470@reddit
Thank you, good luck to you too. Hopefully you hear something next week.
thetrashers2@reddit
I have also had the teams interview on Tuesday last week and have been invited to the assessment day on the week commencing 14th so can confirm this guy is right.
DullApricot1470@reddit
Congratulations, maybe see you at the assessments, best of luck to you.
Then-Degree8144@reddit
I owe you an apology - I’m sorry.
Good luck for the rest of the process.
DullApricot1470@reddit
Thank you, fingers crossed for you too if you are still in it.
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
I hope you are right! I was under the impression interviews were going to happen after the team building exercise at the assessment centres
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
Well done! How much notice did you get for your interview?
DullApricot1470@reddit
Thanks, still can’t quite believe it with each stage passed in still in shock. I got an email with a link to select a date on the Thursday and I chose Monday but there were slots for everyday last week when I went on, they could have added more since I selected mine though.
Bigmeatflute@reddit
Hello all, I have all the assessments up to physics and the digital interview, but I am still waiting on the AON. I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same wait
EarClear4784@reddit
I completed the cognitive assessment but messed up on the balance task, and so have poor results for the numeracy section. Ironically that’s probably my biggest strength area!
Emotional-Start7994@reddit
Same here. Ran out of time on a few of those which is why I think the score was poor.
Even more bizarrely I got 4/4 on the emotion task, which makes no sense at all having Asperger's and the fact I struggle to interpret facial expressions of others.
I feel like anybody with any neurodivergent conditions will struggle with the assessment, which makes it feel like the assessment is used to weed out people with conditions such as ADHD, Autism etc
Radiant-Ant-7176@reddit
🤣😭
Radiant-Ant-7176@reddit
Got through the air force mental aptitude tests no issues. Apparently I’m incredibly stupid according to Jet2 🤣 nice tests!
Trick-Manner-212@reddit
What is the assessments like? I haven’t done them yet
Sufficient-War588@reddit
I submitted my application on the 17th of may and still haven’t heard anything. When did you all apply and hear back?
On my career portal is says my application is under review still.
New-Pop2846@reddit
I applied today and I’ve heard ppl got their online assessment 10 mins after applying. I think it might have something to do with our application and how we must’ve ticked a box where you should / shouldn’t have
guannn1@reddit
same here
One_Present_6623@reddit
Oh my gosh that happened to me too and the numeracy score was the first dot saying that I struggle with data. Complete opposite of who I am. I didn’t understand those scales at all though. Even saying that I got through to the next stage.
Ill-Daikon3268@reddit
How long did it take for them to respond and when did you sit the assessment. I've waited 5 days now since sitting the cognitive ability tests and heard nothing so far.
EarClear4784@reddit
The feedback results from Arctic Shores is almost instant as it is automated. Check your junk e-mail if you haven’t seen it yet.
Ill-Daikon3268@reddit
I got the feedback email instantly. Its the invitation email from jet2 to see if I passed the cognitive ability assessment im waiting for. It's been 6 days. Check my junk/spam and other and no email yet.
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Yeah same it took me half of them to figure out what we are meant to fully be doing then I never got to finish most of them as the timer seemed to go twice the speed for me.
Radiant-Ant-7176@reddit
What a terrible program. Arctic shores is a pure blow off.
Turtle-duck-@reddit
has anyone completed the motivational video interview? Just did it and I think nerves got the best of me.
Difficult-Radio-4875@reddit
Fr I hate these one way video interviews. It's actually much better with a person in my experience. It's just much more awkward talking to a camera and every moment of silence feels so bad
Negative_Tax6339@reddit
Same, I feel I did better than I thought on the AON tests and thought the motivational interview would be the easy bit but I completely fluffed it.
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
You had results for the AON?
Negative_Tax6339@reddit
Not had results for AON but some of them gave immediate feedback (such as the sense of direction and reaction) and I did better on those than I thought, that's what I meant by that.
virpy24@reddit
How did you check for the instant feedback?
Negative_Tax6339@reddit
Sorry, I should have explained more clearly. When I meant instant feedback, I meant on some of the exercises it will instantly tell you whether you were wrong or not. For example, on the sense of direction test if you clicked the wrong button it would flag as red. On many of the puzzle style games, if you got it correct you progressed to the next level but if you got it wrong the transition was blank etc. So for many of the tests there was an instant feedback that you were getting the answers correct and progressing. It wasn't like the arctic shores where you received an instant report after.
virpy24@reddit
Gotcha! I messed up on flying in tunnel one, I did it using a trackpad and in hindsight a laptop was probably better. The others I did alright, English one was quite tough as well.
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
Oh okay. Sorry I thought you meant results for AoN. Mine were the same though, some instant feedback on others
Reasonable_Cap_1941@reddit
What were the Qs?
Turtle-duck-@reddit
Come on man, its unfair to ask for the questions
Swimming-Cry7241@reddit
Anyone done the Physics test and now waiting for the next stage?
Grouchy-Rub9169@reddit
I did the physics assessment then got invited to do another assessment the day after as well as a video interview. Reaction speed, multi-tasking etc. It took about 90mins to complete. I haven’t heard back since I did this though.
Psychic-Duck@reddit
Have you had anything back yet? Did my test on Thursday last week and not heard anything back yet
Conscious_Mission_61@reddit
Nothing yet, nearly been 3 weeks now, staring to think I haven't made the cut and they haven't even bothered replying saying I haven't made it
Conscious_Mission_61@reddit
Yeah been about 2 weeks now, I sent an email asking a few days ago still not heard anything back as if yet
Conscious_Mission_61@reddit
Anyone else still waiting to hear back from the physics assessment? Starting to think I haven't made the cut
Blueberry-Distinct@reddit
Completed mine Monday, got the rejection email last night...
MadisonXDavies@reddit
I completed mine last Saturday and still waiting to hear back :(
StrangeAverage5950@reddit
I'm in the same position. Completed mine on the 22nd and still not heard anything. Just sent them an email then to see if they have an update.
YumaYami@reddit
Just finished the Psychometric & Pilot Ability assessments. Has anyone heard back yet? Also can I be added to the GC please
vWaqy@reddit
Help! Aptitude assessments, i got the invite on Friday. Completed them today (tuesday) around 1am. Would that count as the 4th day or 5th day? Do you reckon i will be penalised for this or is it more a request - as it states
“We kindly ask for the tests to be complete by 23:59 by the fourth day”
Difficult-Radio-4875@reddit
I think you'll be fine. Even if it's technically late, which I don't think it is, it's unlikely that their HR team will be looking at anything at night. They're probably based in Jet2's Leeds office and will wait until the morning after at least to review your results. How did you find the aptitude assessments?
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
Has anybody here been invited to do the AoN pilot assessments? If so, how did you find it and have you heard back after?
Visible-Passion-4049@reddit
Do you mean the aptitude test? If yes then it was nothing special tbh. Relative easy math word problems. You get 3 min for 5 questions. English language test and some easy logic tests. I actually received the digital interview invite the same day I completed the aptitude test. Idk if that means that I passed it but yea
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
No, I mean the assessments you get after the physics test and interview. Congrats on passing them though
Visible-Passion-4049@reddit
Yea it’s the aptitude test. When you pass the physics test, you get a long email explaining all the stages of the aptitude test. Have you received it?
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
Yes but mine was a lot more than 5 tests. There was around 10 tests and it took 2 hours
Visible-Passion-4049@reddit
Yea exactly. I just described what I remembered haha but yes you’re right there was like 10 of them
No_Performer_1034@reddit
I did mine yesterday, werent too bad at all, have the prerecorded interview to complete now.
vWaqy@reddit
Could you share any advice for the physics test as im sitting it tomorrow and properly nervous!
No_Performer_1034@reddit
Best advice I can give is to allocate yourself so many seconds per question, aim to complete them under that time, if you go over and still haven't figured out the answer take a guess and move on otherwise you'll risk missing out on the next ones. Essentially give yourself 20-23 seconds per question to at least ensure you can get through them all. Once the timer hits 0 it ends whether you got to the end or not.
I imagine that the questions are randomly selected through a pool of questions so most likely different to what I had.
vWaqy@reddit
Thank you for the advice. Managed to pass it. Now got the digital interview and Aon exams. Could you give any advice on these? Thanks
No_Performer_1034@reddit
Nice one, tbh the aon exams have instructions before them that are very clear, just take your time and use the practice rounds as much as possible. I just did the digital interview and it's 3 questions with 3 mins per question to answer it.
No-Consequence1426@reddit
Thank you for the info, what were the questions like? Were there any competency based questions or mostly focussed on our motivations?
No_Performer_1034@reddit
They were all motivation questions for me
virpy24@reddit
Did you get any time to prepare your answers?
No_Performer_1034@reddit
You get 1 minute
vWaqy@reddit
Thank you for those tips. Means alot. Can you remember the questions they asked? Doing them later today :)
Suspicious-Whole6450@reddit
How long did u have to wait from your physics test to the next test to be sent to u? I had all my assessments straight away more a less after doing them but I’ve waited 2 weeks after the physics test so I assume I failed.
No_Performer_1034@reddit
I got mine the next day
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
I didn’t find them too bad either but I did them on Saturday, haven’t had a response yet. I did the interview beforehand so maybe they are just looking at the results of these and the interview together idk
Scarface1427@reddit
Can I get added to the gc please?
Has anyone done the Psychometric & Pilot Ability assessments or the Motivation interview??
Any tips or what to expect/look out for please??
Difficult-Radio-4875@reddit
I found most of the pilot ability tests to be relatively easy, but a few were really tough for sure. The motivational interview was straightforward and really short, but I was away from home at the time and had to do it in a car with my phone which was awkward. Good luck if you haven't done them yet
Cautious-Spend6799@reddit
It is extremely hard, and I don't think you can do any preparation for it. you should just do it and get over it? The more you stress on it harder it's gonna be on you
GonzoK46@reddit
I find this incorrect, there is prep you can do for every stage if you want to pay some money out. I paid for the Pilot Assessment website, which gives you access to almost all the tests that you’ll have to do.
Although I did mine last Friday I am still waiting to hear back. But I smashed some prep in paying £50 for 90 days access to the website. Some are slightly different but it gives you a good leg up in preparation for what to expect.
Also if you do get further, it has advice on interviews, team building exercises, has numerical and English tests on there too, all in all a really helpful website
mattyman706@reddit
Has anyone reached the stage after the numerical and verbal reasoning tests yet?
jamie123b@reddit
Yes, I did the numerical and verbal reasoning yesterday and got an email today saying I passed and invited me to Attention to Detail assessment. Which I'll probably do today or tomorrow
smitherzjp@reddit
Hi mate did you do the attention to assessment? Is there anything we can do practise ?
jamie123b@reddit
sorry just seen this, assume you've done it now but yeah I'm up to the one-way video interview
virpy24@reddit
Well done in getting to the interview, have you done it already? If so, how did it go and what did they ask you? Was that the final step in the process?
jamie123b@reddit
was fairly straightforward but I'm not used to recording myself and only 30 seconds to prepare for each of the 3 questions so didn't give the best answer I could. Got through to AON aptitude assessments now, did all those yesterday. The AON assessments are gonna be the stage most people get culled
virpy24@reddit
Well done in getting to the interview, have you done it already? If so, how did it go and what did they ask you? Was that the final step in the process?
Fast_Valuable_4054@reddit
I did the numerical and verbal test. Relatively happy with numerical. Not sure about verbal. Most of my answers for that were ‘Can’t say’ so have spent most of the week mentally torturing myself, second guessing my answers. Not heard anything back yet which is making me nervous. I did the numerical/verbal tests on 31st May.
EyeofAv8@reddit
I wouldn’t beat yourself up. It was significantly trickier than the entire BA Speedbird process. The barrier to entry will always be hard due to the amount of applicants vs funded places. I showed some of the puzzles to an active airline captain and he was stumped.
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Haven’t even got that stage yet no response or anything other than “please be patient” yet I only got a low score on 2 of the cognitive parts people seem to have lower scores than me and got the next stage straight away
Junior_Ratio2620@reddit
A friend did the cognitive test over 3 weeks ago and has heard nothing! When did you all get your results from this?
GonzoK46@reddit
Within 3 working days I received mine back to progress
vWaqy@reddit
Could anyone offer advice on the Digital Interview? What questions were asked and what best way to prepare?
GonzoK46@reddit
It definitely says in the emails and documents etc… to not pass any information on, I’ve done this, but there is zero prep needed really, just think of what questions they could ask, and you’ll be fine
Cautious-Spend6799@reddit
I have done my motivation assessment as well last week and I haven't heard back yet. Anyone at that stage? Also, I am trying to figure out how much they actually pay for the training. Will they pay travel and accommodation or something else as well, or nothing at all? Please let me know if you have any concrete details on that. thanks
ProofDuck8483@reddit
The motivation assessment videos are all reviewed by humans, It took about a week for mine to come back, they'll be going through what's probably a giant back log of videos, hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer!
vWaqy@reddit
What was included in the motivational assesment?
Cautious-Spend6799@reddit
Appreciate the answer. Mine is just about week now but it’s Friday. Maybe Monday than. Did you get to the next stage?
rabin110@reddit
Hi,
How many questions and what kind of questions can you expect from the Motivation Assessment Video?
Thanks😂
Ambitious-Willow-409@reddit
If you don't mind me asking, when did you complete it and when did they get back to you? Thanks :)
ProofDuck8483@reddit
Completed it last tuesday/Wednesday, got the aon tests on monday night
vWaqy@reddit
Hi how was the motivation assessment? What did they ask? Regards
Then-Degree8144@reddit
Depending on where you do your training, there could be a weekly allowance. Accommodation is included.
Question on the numerical reasoning which you must have taken at this point - do you remember how many questions there were? I know how many I got wrong so trying to figure out how many I could’ve got right! Also, how long did it take once you got to these assessments to hear?
Cautious-Spend6799@reddit
I got from one stage to the other in no more than 2-3 days. Regarding the numerical I have no idea can’t remember. tbh everything is just a blur. I just started them and went into the zone. I would say around 15-20, but don’t quote me on that.
JackKean@reddit
What stage is that. I got an email for the digital interview by hirevue. Is that the physics one or does that come later?
yourlocalturkishboy@reddit
I got sent the invite to do the aptitude test about an hour ago. I've also just been sent the motivational assessment even though I haven't completed the aptitude test. Has this happened to anyone else?
Adorable-Dot-9537@reddit
I received the interview email and completed this before I received the aptitude test. I wouldn’t worry about it
Grouchy-Rub9169@reddit
Hi all, has anyone done the physics assessment? I’ve done the numerical, verbal and attention to detail assessment. I’ve since been sent an invite for the interview. It says we should have a physics assessment though????
LeeVanBeef@reddit
Did you do it yet? How was it?
I’ve got to do it by tomorrow but not sure what to expect
virpy24@reddit
How did it go and what did they ask during the interview? Was it just a motivational interview or was there anything else on it?
LeeVanBeef@reddit
Went okay. Time pressure was tough, 25 questions with only around 20secs per question.
Mix of basic physics and maths.
Grouchy-Rub9169@reddit
I haven’t attempted it yet as I’m on holiday. Hoping it goes alright for you. Yeah I’m not too sure what to expect from it either.
vWaqy@reddit
Im the same its saying an interview before physics. Has anyone here completed the physics test?
minoremoji@reddit
if you look, it says the interview is the physics test
Visible-Passion-4049@reddit
Got the same yesterday. Kinda strange tbh especially if you go through the “Jet2 Application Guidance 2025”. It says there that before the interview there should be an aptitude test 🤷🏼
Grouchy-Rub9169@reddit
Glad I’m not the only one then 😅
Silly_Dance6753@reddit
Hi all,
I completed the arctic shores assessment on 20th May….got (4,1,3,4,3,4) and then got an email on 9th June to say application was under review…
But then nothing since, no further assessments etc
I’m guessing I’m done, but anyone else in the same position?
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Still eating myself from the 14th
gaming360b@reddit
Csn I believe added please?
Round_Photo_1805@reddit
Can I be added to the group please?
No_Performer_1034@reddit
Dont know if this thread is still active.
So far I have done the cognitive assessment, the verbal and numerical reasoning tests, attention to detail and physics test. No idea what is coming next if I pass through the physics side of it. Has anyone else made it far?
vWaqy@reddit
How did u find the physics one? Any tips? Thanks
No_Performer_1034@reddit
I would say most questions were okay, the difficulty was the time limit, 3 mins per stage and 8-9 questions per stages.
Leather_Sun_5598@reddit
Just done the physics test. 34 questions in 12 minutes was nails 😂 did not get through all of them, did 26. How'd everyone else get on? What do we think the pass mark is? Stressed 😂
Copper_Crotch@reddit
From what I understand they aren’t looking for scholars, things can be taught and learnt at a later stage. That said I’d imagine with how many people they have applying they’ll be picking the top 1% 😅 How did you find them? Have any tips? I read it’s only physical and numeracy up to GCSE level but it’s been a while since I’ve sat them
Leather_Sun_5598@reddit
Yeah well that's what I was thinking. Like surely sorta 50% for it will be enough... the questions themselves were easy physics questions. Nothing to hard. But that 3 mins a section time limit looming down on you made it hard. Average would have to he 20 seconds a question, which is mental. So I think I can at least say I did the absolout best I can.
vWaqy@reddit
Any more tips for this? Or advice on what to prepare for? Thanks
vanillaedd@reddit
Is it a mix of knowledge based and equation questions? Hopefully you get a positive reply soon 👍🏻, have to say it's a bit of a torture the waiting.
Conscious_Mission_61@reddit
Yeah I have to agree, I'm holding my breath awaiting the results atm
Copper_Crotch@reddit
Yeah the time limits always make it seem a lot harder.. Well best of luck to you, I’m sure it’s enough to get through to the face to face meetings at least!
MadisonXDavies@reddit
I’ve just done my physics assessment today! Have you heard back yet? I also didn’t complete all of the questions 🤣 not got much hope for this one 😭
Leather_Sun_5598@reddit
Nope, still not heard anything. Emailed them as well, and they just haven't responded
MadisonXDavies@reddit
Oh no! Hopefully will hear back soon! If they’re going off the FAQ document there’s only 3 weeks until they want to host the assessment days so hopefully won’t be too long!
Conscious_Mission_61@reddit
What were the questions like?
Leather_Sun_5598@reddit
Relatively easy physics questions. Basic forces, speed/distance/time, read a graph. Nothing really to manic. Like I said above though, the time restraint on it just makes you feel dumb for a second and forget everything 😂
vWaqy@reddit
Could i be added to the group chat please
Blueberry-Distinct@reddit
Hi, stupid q I got the invite to the checking assessment, when it says to complete you have 4 days after receiving the invitation (by 23:59 on the fourth day). I got mine Friday afternoon does that mean I have till Monday or Tuesday? Didn’t matter for the verbal and numerical for me, but am travelling till Monday now. Thanks all
LeeVanBeef@reddit
I’ve got the through to the physics assessment, any chance of a group invite?
Kitchen-Telephone485@reddit
Just done the “attention to detail” assessment.. not looking forward to the physics one!
ProofDuck8483@reddit
The physics had me worried too! I couldn't remember most of my physics gcse if I tried! It's not too advanced, you won't need to hit the hard revision for it, bit of maths, bit of forces etc, nothing too taxing. It is timed though so be prepared because that clock moves quick! Good luck!
Real-Bet-8176@reddit
How long did it take to get the physics after completing the attention to detail?
ProofDuck8483@reddit
couple days i think it was
Real-Bet-8176@reddit
Thanks, just done it! It wasn't advanced like you said, but that time restraint is far too low for the amount of questions (probably deliberately). Think I only couldn't finish around 3 or 4 so not too bad, but hopefully enough to progress!
yourlocalturkishboy@reddit
me neither. last time I studied any sort of physics was 3 years ago I'm so out of touch with it 🙈
Kitchen-Telephone485@reddit
3 years ago? I did GCSES 18 years ago 😆 34 now and decided to apply for this… mortgage and kids so let’s see what happens haha
yourlocalturkishboy@reddit
bloody hell. I admire you for applying though best of luck! I'm in the middle of my neuroscience degree right now and decided it's not something I want to pursue career wise so thought I'd give this a go. Hopefully it works out!
Kitchen-Telephone485@reddit
Wow that degree sounds incredible! I need a change of career (currently a police sergeant!) hopefully we will meet at the in-person assessment day :)
yourlocalturkishboy@reddit
Thank you haha its definitely very interesting. I don't think I could take being couped up in a lab all day doing research though. Here's to hoping we both make it through to the in-person assessments 💪🏼
DrXinFL@reddit
I completed the cognitive assessment 23rd May, and had the e-mail. back saying
What happens now?
We'll compare your unique qualities to those linked to success in the role. Then, we'll let you know how you've got on and explain any next steps. You'll hear back soon!
But nothing yet - how long normally have others had to wait?
Thanks
Chuck1984ish@reddit
How did you score on the cognitive assessments?
I think it's possibly not a no but depending on how those that scored better than you do on the next stages it could be a no and it's just a waiting game
I got the same email,
Scored 443411 so not too hopeful.
virpy24@reddit
Hi, I'd like to be added to the group chat. Thanks
rabin110@reddit
Hi, can I get the invitation link to the group. Thanks!!
Fruit-Loops_@reddit
people who have done the 6 assessment tasks, is the last “security” task really possible?
Evening-Insurance893@reddit
It isn't possible to crack. The exercise is to see your resilience and patience to complete a task, they will monitor how much time you spent to see wether the lock is secured or not and not to see if you manage to crack it or not. I hope you understood me!
ProofDuck8483@reddit
id just like to say it is actually possible, definitely a test of your patience and determination to do it. i will say it took me the best part of 30 minutes to get through it, but i wasn't stopping until i got it.
the final stages move so fast its a blend of timing, hoping your screens refresh rate is even capable of keeping up, and pure dumb luck
i even remember saying to myself that they're better be an unconditional offer behind this damn lock 😂
Roscoe314159@reddit
Also took me a while but after i hit 25 mins i thought i may as well complete it even if took me and hour. Finished it about 5 mins later. Horrible to do but proud of finishing it.
Chuck1984ish@reddit
I highly doubt it, I think the key is not quitting early but not spending too long. I got to the last lock regularly but decided 20 mins was enough.
Fruit-Loops_@reddit
i got to the final stage a lot of times too. eventually i got a pop up that said “you have shown that the lock is very secure, you may exit the task at any time” etc and i thought damn, it’s not actually possible is it😂
bambayanga@reddit
I've recently sat the flightpath test and had my unsuccessful result back. Does anyone know if this makes me ineligible for any future attempts if the flightpath programme was to appear again?
yourlocalturkishboy@reddit
I don't think they specify a limit so I'm assuming you're free to apply as many times as you like. Programmes like BAs speedbird specify up to 3 times but not seen anything like that for Jet2. You should be good to apply again next application cycle! Good luck for any future applications 😁
bambayanga@reddit
Thanks very much for your reply. Really struggled with the questions regarding the shape patterns and weighing scales. Any idea as to how to better prepare myself for these types of questions for future applications at all?
yourlocalturkishboy@reddit
I completely get why you struggled they can be tricky. I was actually a medicine applicant before applying to this programme so I prepped for and sat the UCAT exam. There was a section called abstract reasoning which is all shapes and patterns, including questions like the weighing scales. It might be good practise to have a look at some YouTube videos that go through abstract reasoning questions. It helped me massively when it came to recognising the patterns and the scales.
I will say, they are a lot harder than the ones that Jet2 tested us with, but if you can get an understanding of those you'll fly through the Jet2 questions next time you apply!

I missed my deadline because I was out the country. Absolutely gutted. I've email the jet2 support email asking if I can have an extension, knowing my luck though I would be reluctant to hold my breath
Similar_Passage5543@reddit
Hiya all, I applied on the 14th of May and haven’t heard anything back not even to do the assessments so still in the application stage. Just wondering how long it took for others to get a response and I’ve seen a lot of people in this thread have already completed the first stage of assessments. If you could let me know that would be great!!
Super-Pianist-5383@reddit
I've not heard anything either. Applied on similar date to you.
Dangerous_Ad3934@reddit
Yeah same here, still nothing back
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Me 4 over here. It’s annoying when people are now on 4th stage while we are still waiting for the email Dear … Not progressing. Like just give it us first then next assessments.
Perfect_Intern8599@reddit
I still cant work out how the balance one works?
Fast_Valuable_4054@reddit
Think basic algebra from school. Use the info given to work out what you need to add to the scale to balance it.
For example if 2 circles = 1 square then if the question is a square and a triangle then you would answer a triangle and 2 circles. Only a triangle can balance a triangle but 2 circles will balance a square.
You have to do the algebra in your head at pace.
MrMooBerlin@reddit
But it was hard to connect it together with algebra. Only got it at the end cause it seemed like it was going to be a pattern one the way the instructions led you to believe it.
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Has anyone completed the cognitive assessment then got the next stage after or are we waiting till applications close for the next stage?
One_Present_6623@reddit
I done a verbal reasoning and numerical assessment after the cognitive test. This is the email I got “Dear John,
Thank you for taking the time to complete our Cognitive Assessment. We’re pleased to confirm that you have progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process. This will include numerical and verbal reasoning tests.”
Far-Replacement8957@reddit
Presume you’ve completed verbal and numerical reasoning now? Have you had a response to say whether you’ve progressed? I did mine on Tuesday night but haven’t heard anything.
One_Present_6623@reddit
Been almost 2 weeks haven’t heard anything
East_Law_8725@reddit
Have you heard anything back yet?
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Nope still heared nothing. I’m starting to move on about it now but I know the email will come and it’s back to square one of being annoyed how I just fall through the crack.
Ill-Daikon3268@reddit
How long did it take between completing the cognitive assessment and the invitation email to sit the next set of assessments? And what were your results like for the cognitive assessments. Mine weren't great or amazing.
One_Present_6623@reddit
I had 2 4’s 2 3’s and 1 1. I got it the next day
jamesecowell@reddit
Forgive me because I know you must be getting a lot of questions, but would you mind sharing which areas those scores corresponded to?
I got higher scores overall but I'm still awaiting the invitation - I really don't think they're looking for the highest scores, but more alignment to what they're looking for, so it would be good to know what yours were since you were successful in that assessment.
For context, my lowest score was a 2 and that was tasks and decisions.
Grouchy_Window6159@reddit
What did you get the 1 1 on? Numeracy?
Ill-Daikon3268@reddit
Thanks, appreciate it 🙏🏽
Deep-Persimmon-8162@reddit
No offence, but this sounds like bullshit
One_Present_6623@reddit
Do you want a screenshot of it?
Deep-Persimmon-8162@reddit
Yes please
Ill-Daikon3268@reddit
I've waited 6 days since my cognitive ability assessment and still no response from Jet2 about if I've progressed or not.
Greedy_Illustrator56@reddit
I finished my cognitive assessment on the 16th may and haven't gotten a response yet so I think I'm cooked. I got a 4's in understand others, approach challenges, numeric concepts. I got 3's in respond to change and identify patterns and rules, and my only 1's was in attend to task and decisions which I think is the reason why I'm not gotten to the next stage.
Deep-Persimmon-8162@reddit
Sorry 3rd June 🤦🏼♂️
Deep-Persimmon-8162@reddit
Likewise, but stay positive the application is still open until the 16th and don’t see how they would shortlist without knowing their full application numbers. Iv not heard of anybody apart from the above progressing to the next stage as of yet.
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Oh I’m cooked cheers
EyeofAv8@reddit
As a PPL holder I did this out of interest, at midnight and scored awfully 😂 hopefully my poor scores pulled the averages down for you guys
Sufficient-War588@reddit
I submitted my application on the 17th of may and still haven’t heard anything. When did you all apply and hear back?
On my career portal is says my application is under review still.
Prestigious-Tip-5155@reddit
I've still to complete the assessment. Can you tell me what to expect/the sort of things it will ask me?
EarClear4784@reddit
Had nothing since the assessment feedback email.
ImpossibleGolf511@reddit
Hi, can i be added please, I cant find where to directly message you
Ill-Daikon3268@reddit
I need some advice. Its now been three weeks since I sat the cognitive ability assessment and I've heard nothing back. What should I do?
Chuck1984ish@reddit

mary-nicefield@reddit
Can you add me please
yourlocalturkishboy@reddit
Hey everyone. I did my cognitive assessment yesterday. Just wondering what seems to be the average score for people who got invited to do the next stage?
Normal_Mail3407@reddit
I got 4 4s and 2 2s and got invited to the next stage for reference. The assessment criteria may hold different weighting though so I’d say there is no way to know for sure what the threshold is..
flyingdutchman772@reddit
Is it possible to be added to the GC?
Ellestheaeus_pavlos@reddit
Has anyone heard back after the cognitive assessment? (That balance part was one of the most ridiculous test I've done 😃)
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Yeah that balance one caught me off guard. Everything else I was good with just numerical was in the mud by balance. Been a week still yet to hear anything 🥲I’m cooked.
EitherSignificance32@reddit
10 days post cognitive test and nothing🫠 after initially completing the cognitive tests my candidate portal had progressed to the next stage but after not hearing for a couple days it went back down to stage 2 so I queried it. They said not to worry about the portal status and I will hear soon, that was a week ago
Am I cooked?
MrMooBerlin@reddit
You got anything yet or are we still burnt toast?
EitherSignificance32@reddit
Chat I think we’re cooked. Nothing here
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Yeah I had the same I’m assuming it’s just how their system works that anything they require you to do is classed as “interview stage” and then “under review” is when they are assessing the results. I only seen one guy say they got through to the next round so maybe it’s not out yet.
EitherSignificance32@reddit
Yeah I’ve seen only 2 people say they progressed to the next set of tests, so I’ll resume checking the portal and my email hourly again😂 best of luck to you
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Yeah so I feel like it’s a troll sort of thing or they think the cognitive assessment is the main assessment. The fact one includes his email statement in every comment makes it seem sus but will be checking every hour 😭
Best of luck to you too.
Longjumping_Ruin_130@reddit
I also got through to the next round after cognitive (I completed that on Thursday last week and got the email the next day). I need to complete the Verbal and Numerical Reasoning now
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Ah so I’m cooked. What did you get on the cognitive. I did it on a Friday night so feel I just got put at the back of the pile.
Longjumping_Ruin_130@reddit
I don't think loose hope, mine wasn't perfect - I got 4 (4), 1(2), and 1(1)
Daikon_Icon@reddit
what even is the balance question about?😭 im getting nervous cause everyone seemed to hate it
MrMooBerlin@reddit
It’s maths but the format is weird. It’s the only thing I failed on but if others also failed and still got through then I’m confused
Daikon_Icon@reddit
god I did absolutely awful on it, I think im cooked cause theres no way I'm beating a thousand people who are gonna be better, that time limit was rough too
EitherSignificance32@reddit
I hope I’m allowed to reference this tik tok, a user by the name “thepilottutor” has posted a video yesterday about Jet2flightpath. To help people prepare for the cognitive assessments and the comments are full of people saying they’ve not heard anything in 7+ days post assessment. So we’re not alone, so potentially not cooked just yet.
One_Present_6623@reddit
Yes I got through to the next stage :
Dear John,
Thank you for taking the time to complete our Cognitive Assessment. We’re pleased to confirm that you have progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process. This will include numerical and verbal reasoning tests.
Greedy_Illustrator56@reddit
After finishing the Cognitive Assessment, how long did it take to receive an invitation to the next stage?
One_Present_6623@reddit
The next day
guannn1@reddit
anyone else not received the link to assessments? i applied may 17th.
YumaYami@reddit
Same still waiting. You got any response yet?
guannn1@reddit
yeah. i got invited to assessments on tuesday
Dangerous_Ad3934@reddit
Yeah same here. Applied on the 14th still nothing back and says under review
Prestigious_Sink1401@reddit
add me
Jord2899@reddit
Has anyone heard anything yet since the cognitive assessment? I applied 25th May, got invited for the cognitive assessment 27th May which I completed on the 30th May; but haven’t heard anything since other than my assessment feedback
Chuck1984ish@reddit
Some people seem to, I haven't,
I got 443311 so I'm assuming the 1s have cut me.
I don't know how to drive a plane anyway it's probably for the best 😂
Jord2899@reddit
I got two 1’s too, annoying because I couldn’t get my head around half the balance ones so I got a 1 in numerical skills, but I’m doing my AAT’s in accounting atm and got a distinction in my first year so how does that work 😂
Chuck1984ish@reddit
yes that was where I got a 1, found it tricky in the timescale. Think I also got a 1 on the patterns, but I love those type of logic quizzes and i'm sure I followed a pattern, I guess just different than the pattern they wanted!
The others I found pretty straight forward.
Jord2899@reddit
my other 1 was in focus but not sure which task that was
Chuck1984ish@reddit
Thats either the arrows or the odd and even numbers with the shapes.
I'd guess the arrows. I got a 4 for that and it's similar to tests I've done before, I play lots of games and i'm pretty good at that sort of thing. Maybe had 3 missclicks total in that one.
drjamesvet@reddit
Where did you see the scores? There was just dimensions and stuff on my report, no numbers.
Chuck1984ish@reddit
Well all the way to the right is the 4th dot and the most positive feedback and first dot 1 so least positive.
Basically I imagine the more you have far right the better chance you have, but that's just my assumption.
drjamesvet@reddit
Thanks for the reply. I’m truly confused as apparently I am terrible with interpreting data when I am a statistician with a masters and a PhD in statistical epidemiology.
Chuck1984ish@reddit
A lot of people find the results somewhat puzzling.
My numeracy result, I own it, quick maths isn't my strong point.
But the patterns one I think I also scored low I'm pretty I'm a bit miffed. I regularly nerd out and do logic tests online and can recognise patterns fairly easy.
It is what it is, I just applied on a whim, It would be cool to be a pilot but it's not been a lifelong goal or anything for me.
MrMooBerlin@reddit
That’s why I always hate these tests. They are structured just to easily filter applications. Let’s say you get lucky and have good questions of 2+2 (quick example) you will have better results than someone that got picked to have harder questions like 2x97 for instance. Ofcourse not everyone would have the same questions so their will be easy and some harder questions and it’s just luck to which ones you get and how many long answering ones you have. Even uni maths students struggle with Numerical reasoning sort of tests as they are just filters not proper tests.
weeklyfox@reddit
I would like to be added to the gc please :)
New-Pop2846@reddit
Is there any point in applying anymore? Most people have got to the to numerical and verbal assessments which is stage 3. I don’t think there’s any point anymore because they must’ve already sent out all the max invitations to the successful candidates for the online assessments. Can anyone let me know if they have recently replied and when they heard back after the initial application?
ShadowMaruIV@reddit
I applied yesterday and received the cognitive test invite today.
Prestigious-Tip-5155@reddit
I did the cognitive assessment about 5 days ago and haven't heard back yet. Only seen 2 people say they got invited to the verbal and numerical reasoning test after.
Kitchen-Telephone485@reddit
444311… completed just now but not hopeful
llebsiwel@reddit
Is the cognitive assessment something that I can do on my mobile? I’m on holiday rn and can’t get access to a desktop or laptop before the 4 day timing runs out to complete the assessment. Should I use my mobile or try ask for an extension
jamesecowell@reddit
No I don't think you'd be able to complete it on your mobile, requires the use of a keyboard.
llebsiwel@reddit
Thank you. I have asked for extenuating circumstances to be applied as a result of
jamesecowell@reddit
No worries, good luck!
llebsiwel@reddit
They’ve said I can’t have an extension. Would you say it’s definitely not possible on my mobile? I’m thinking should I go find a library with computer access maybe instead? What is it that I can’t do on mobile would you say?
jamesecowell@reddit
That makes sense, the assessment phase is ending fairly soon.
The tasks are very interactive and I'm not even sure they'd be supported in a mobile browser. They involve a lot of drag and drop, and some would need a physical keyboard. I'd definitely recommend finding a library in that case
llebsiwel@reddit
It does say it’s supported on mobile but I thought best to check, thanks again for the help
jamesecowell@reddit
Oh okay, you might be alright in that case! I'd still recommend the library route though, having done them I'd definitely prefer to do them on a computer than on a phone.
llebsiwel@reddit
Spot on! If all else fails I’ll use the mobile🤣
llebsiwel@reddit
Thank you! No idea what to expect🤣
crybee_yt@reddit
Hi, I’d love to be added to a group chat! I’ve completed the cognitive assesment, numerical and verbal. I’m waiting to hear back hopefully for the next stage.
Greedy_Illustrator56@reddit
I finished the cognitive assessment on the 16th and got 413434 but still haven't heard back from them so I presumed I'm out. I was wondering how they assess the applications and if jet2 are just automatically sending the cognitive assessment out first and then processing and reading the applications? Also what sort of things can I do to strengthen my application for future programs?
Same_Air_2172@reddit
Hi chaps, I’m new to Reddit. This thread came up in my research. @Aryon69420 I can’t seem to dm you. It keeps giving me a message failed note. Any chance you could dm me the WhatsApp group chat link? Sorry to ask…

FarAccess3804@reddit
How did everyone find the cognitive assessment? Has anyone heard anything back yet since the results?
Chuck1984ish@reddit
Got two 4's two 3's and two 1's.
Numeric 1 so prob cooked, and patterns 1 which I'm surprised at, usually pretty good with that and they made sense to me 😂
4s were tasks and decisions and challenges.
3s on the faces and change ones.
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Been a week since I have so think I’m cooked.
FarAccess3804@reddit
Yeah I’m the same, completed it on the 18th but heard nothing since. Wasn’t too happy with how it went and felt I could of done better so was hoping they would let us progress and take the other assessments into account but it doesn’t seem like this is the way
One_Present_6623@reddit
I got through to the next stage “Dear John,
Thank you for taking the time to complete our Cognitive Assessment. We’re pleased to confirm that you have progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process. This will include numerical and verbal reasoning tests.”
MrMooBerlin@reddit
Alright mate don’t need the full email on every comment. Just a “yeah got it the next day and invited to…”

If you get the link for the cognitive test does that mean you passed the first stage?
I screwed up my application (used less than half the characters). Got a test link the next day nonetheless.
CableNo6469@reddit
When did you apply? I haven't got one yet🥲
saintdartholomew@reddit
I applied at 11pm last night and got an invite for the cognitive assessment 10am this morning.
Either they are really on it, or they send the assessments and review the applications later (that’s how it’s usually done).
One_Present_6623@reddit
As far as I understand your initial application is screened, either by a human or AI, and then you get invited for cognitive test. If you reach the cognitive standard you go onto verbal reasoning and numerical assessment after that. If you pass that you go onto attention to detail and physics, which I’m currently waiting for.
Independent_Ask5869@reddit
Passed the initial application today and I’ve been sent the “cognitive assessment” fingers crossed!
DucklingWally@reddit
Nice not sure if you applied to the BA one, but I assume the tests are similar
One_Present_6623@reddit
Tests were very different. Preferred Jet2 to BA as Jet2 was more interactive rather than just selecting A, B, C, D
Grouchy_Window6159@reddit
How long did it take for you to receive the cognitive assessment after you submitted your application? I'm just wondering how long it takes to receive an update
Independent_Ask5869@reddit

Does anyone know (or can anyone take an educated guess) at what the salary will be during the 18 months of training?
Aryon69420@reddit (OP)
There's no salary during the training but there is a food and living allowance and accommodation is included
here_for-memes@reddit
The website for the position quoted "Salary: Excellent" so I don't think it's unpaid
Jackal311@reddit
That salary is for when you’re doing the job not while you’re training.
here_for-memes@reddit
I mean it is in the page specifically for the training programme, it would be misleading to say that the salary is excellent for the training programme if there isn't one. That's like saying the salary for a junior position is the salary for a management role you could get afterwards.
iceman58796@reddit
The answer has been clarified for you. There is no salary whilst training.
If you have an issue with the wording, contact Jet2 and discuss your grievances as above. But as an answer to your question - there is no salary whilst you are training, the salary: excellent part refers to when you are employed by Jet2.
Jackal311@reddit
The training programme is not a job. You will only be offered a job if you pass all the components of the training programme and meet the standards they require. Until that time you will not receive a salary. While training you will get a stipend of £100 per week at Leading Edge/Skyborne or £50 per week at FTE Jerez (because FTE is full board/includes food).
ctong3@reddit
I would say £20,000 they have to give you something they’re recruiting normal ordinary people we are still going to have to pay bills at home
Big-Macaron-5536@reddit
You don’t get a salary whilst training, only until after IF one passes then they are given a job offer in line with Jet2 salary.
Jackal311@reddit
No chance. They provide accommodation and a small food and living allowance. They’ll have more than enough applicants to not be worried about filling their vacancies with top people.
